Star Wars
Empire’s Bane

With the GALACTIC EMPIRE’s historic victory at the Battle of Endor, the REBEL ALLIANCE was all but eliminated. Imperial control of the known galaxy is now total; no star system dares oppose the mighty fist of the Empire.

Luke Skywalker has turned to the dark side. With the help of his father, Darth Vader, he has killed Palpatine and assumed control of the Empire. The remnants of the Alliance under General Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa have fled to the Unknown Regions, becoming the NEW REPUBLIC.

The Empire has allowed this Republic to exist for five years now, with peace slowly settling over the galaxy. Diplomatic overtures to an alliance have commenced between Skywalker and top Republic leaders. But, in the shadows, dark plans have been laid to tear open the wounds of war and reignite the terrible struggle…

In this thread, we shall construct a post-RotJ history very different from that in the Expanded Universe. Darth Vader and Palpatine are both dead, but the Empire under Luke Skywalker holds ultimate control, with only the fledgling New Republic as its rival. A cease-fire has held for several years between the two, culminating in a treaty that officially ended the war, with real peace close at hand. Emperor Skywalker, now a Dark Jedi, is well-loved throughout the galaxy and respected as a benevolent leader. His sister, Leia Organa, is the President of the New Republic, as Mon Mothma was killed when Home One was destroyed, which has greatly facilitated negotiations.

However, not all are so pleased with the state of the galaxy. A splinter of the criminal organization Black Sun has established itself as a great threat. Calling itself the Order of the Black Heart, it is composed of a group of dark siders who would see a true Sith Lord in command of the galaxy once more and are willing to take whatever measures necessary to accomplish their task. And they may have found the key to their success…

Note that, as of the Peace Act signed three years after Endor, the Galactic Civil War is officially ended and, by the Galactic Arms Treaty, signed a year later, all superweapons are banned. Furthermore, both factions were compelled to maintain similar, limited levels of military power. As such, though both are powerful in their own way, there are little military forces on either side to speak of and they are roughly equal. This may change as the thread goes on.

State of the Galaxy:

The Shadow Hand's reign of terror has begun. The assault on Coruscant has resulted in an indecisive victory - the Empire has managed to maintain defense of the planet, sending the Outer Rim Protection Association back to the outskirts of space, but the cost is great. The infamous DEATH SEED plague has been unleashed on the planet's surface, the Imperial Palace destroyed, and Emperor SKYWALKER has been captured. His loyal followers, MARA JADE and JAMES VITA, now lead the desperate search for him aboard Grand Moff KAINE's flagship, the REAPER. With the help of KANARAI, the redeemed DARTH TRAYTON, they scour the holds of the vessel. to rescue their master from the torturous designs of DARTH CASSIUS and DARTH RUNE.

A mere hyperjump away, Admiral PELLAEON has led his forces to a stalemate with the Republic commander MORLEV at Metellos. Both sides have agreed to a cease fire for the moment, and the Republic has acquiesced to Imperial demands to vacate the system. Into this, Admiral AR'ALANI of the Chiss comes to offer the Empire aid.

KYLE KATARN and his New Order have roused themselves; the Jedi Generals now begin to embark on an aid mission to help defeat Kaine and free the Emperor. Luke and James, meanwhile, have renounced the dark side fully, forsaking the way of the Gray Jedi to join the light in the coming battle.

In an effort to stem the dark tide, Emperor Skywalker has enlisted the services of LANDO CALRISSIAN to try and pinpoint the root cause of the conflict. Working in conjunction with the Imperial super-spy MAZH TIRON, Calrissian begins the trace the dark hold the Shadow Hand has taken. But neither he no Tiron fully comprehend how deep treachery runs.

In the Inner Core, Admiral ULRICK JIFOR and General NIVON DIVARA have crash landed on a mysterious planet after being shot down by a figure known only as DARTH SIDIOUS. With nowhere to run and no way to call for help, the pair of them organize a resistance movement to drive off this Sidious and return to the Empire.

And what of Darth Cassius? His dark designs for the galaxy have only just begun to take shape. But none, not even Cronal, can guess the true depth of this Sith lord's malignance. The shroud of the dark side has fallen...

Characters

If you’d like to join this thread, simply fill out the entry below and submit it in a post.

Name: The character’s name.
Occupation: What exactly is this character’s job? May also include faction.
Bio: A short summary of the character’s life on the galactic frontier. If you didn’t indicate the character’s faction in the “occupation” section, please do so here. Otherwise, the character will simply be placed under “Other Characters.”

The Galactic Empire

After Endor, the Empire emerged as strong as ever. With a budding young leader and the finest Starfleet in the galaxy, there were few who could stand in the Empire’s way – and with a benevolent new ruler, even fewer who wanted to. With the passage of the Galactic Arms Treaty, the Imperial military was downscaled to match that of the fledgling New Republic’s, leaving the Empire at a slight tactical disadvantage, but one that it more than makes up for in the loyalty of its men and the might of its powerful ships. However, even in the age of peace, there are those who oppose what the new Empire stands for, which has given rise to a shady, underground intelligence gathering regime beyond the sight of the general populace to ensure that order remains the rule in the galaxy….

Name: Luke Skywalker – Melkor1
Occupation: Dark Jedi, Emperor
Bio: TF.N Bio Seduced by the dark side, Luke Skywalker destroyed the Emperor with the help of his father, Darth Vader. Sadly, Vader was killed in Palpatine’s final throes, but not before returning to the light. Vowing to remember the lessons of his father, Luke remains true to his Jedi ideals, but he’s not afraid to use the dark side to get the job done. Perhaps it was his mercy that allowed the New Republic its final haven in the Unknown Regions. Emperor Skywalker is a wise and benevolent Emperor, and the people enjoy a great deal of freedoms under his rule. By his order, the Death Star II project was scrapped, and a treaty was signed with the New Republic in which both factions swore to never again introduce superweapons into the galaxy again.

Name: Gilad Pellaeon – Melkor1
Occupation: Admiral in the Imperial Navy, commander of the Emperor’s Fleet
Bio: TF.N Bio When the Rebel flagship, Home One, was destroyed, the crew used its last breath of life to ram the Executor. Fatally wounded, both ships exploded, killing many fine officers from both factions. Captain Pellaeon assumed control of the Imperial fleet upon Admiral Piett’s death, and set his Star Destroyers on an offensive run that seriously crippled the Rebel effort. The Alliance surrendered and, once conditions of surrender were arranged, Skywalker let the Rebels go. Pellaeon serves as the commander of Skywalker’s personal Emperor’s Fleet and as his most trusted advisor. Pellaeon holds much influence within the military.

Name: Mara Jade – Melkor1
Occupation: Emperor’s Hand
Bio: Wookiepedia Bio After Palpatine’s death, Mara pledged her allegiance to the new Emperor Skywalker. Along with Sate Pestage, she is Skywalker’s primary protector and even advises him on occasion. While she doesn’t necessarily agree with the changes to the Empire, she respects Skywalker and is unendingly loyal to him as the Emperor.

Name: James Vita - kypjargon
Age: 30
Height: 6"
Weight: 180 lbs
Eye Color: Gold
Hair Color: Buzz cut black
Complexion: Dark
Occupation: Dark Jedi
Rank: Luke Skywalker's Apprentice
Bio:

James was born on Coruscant two years before the start of the Clone Wars. His parents left him on the doorstep of the Jedi Temple when he was two years old and he was taken in by the Jedi after being recognised as Force sensitive. He was trained by Master Yoda for several years, until the end of the Clone Wars and Anakin Skywalker's attack on the temple.

The other younglings could sense a dark presence approaching, and rushed to meet Anakin Skywalker. James, however did not. He hid and tried to hide himself within the Force. He succeeded, and managed to escape after Master Yoda and Master Kenobi returned. He developed a deep-seated mistrust for the Jedi after that, and spent the next ten years on the street.

He enrolled at the Stormtrooper academy after using the Force to convince the person taking his application that he was eighteen. He trained as a stormtrooper for almost a year, before undertaking pilot training. Due to his Force Sensitivity he was a brilliant pilot and was soon transferred to the 181st TIE squadron under Soontir Fel. He did not like the elitist attitudes of the 181st pilots, and applied for a transfer soon after.

He lead a squadron of TIE Interceptors into the Battle of Endor, and was responsible for firing the shot that catapulted an enemy A-Wing into the bridge of the Executor. Shortly after the Battle of Endor he was brought before Skywalker, who invited him to be his apprentice. James agreed, and has been training under Skywalker ever since.

Name: Moff Cecil Heseltine - Archbishop Green
Occupation: Imperial Moff
Bio: A sickly, miserly young man, Cecil Heseltine’s career as a Moff began when Emperor Palpatine spotted his extraordinary talent for making money (and keeping it safe.) Known as "the Little Miser" by those he governed, as well as one or two other Moffs, Heseltine’s greatest military achievements were also due to his large amounts of money - one two occasions he successfully bribed Rebel commanders sent to depose him into retreating. After the battle of Endor, Heseltine was one of the first Imperial officials to swear fealty to Luke Skywalker, and remains true to his oath today.

Name: Mitth'raw'nuruodo (Thrawn) – Melkor
Occupation: Grand Admiral, Imperial Navy
Bio: Grand Admiral Thrawn
Despite the Empire's prejudice against non-humans, he became the only non-human to reach the Imperial Navy's highest rank – that of Grand Admiral. He was also the last Grand Admiral promoted by the Emperor; he earned the rank because of his instrumental role in stopping Grand Admiral Zaarin's attempted coup, receiving the late Zaarin's rank and position as a reward.

Thrawn was considered a true warrior by those who served under him. If a battle Thrawn planned could not be won, Thrawn preferred not to waste troops and equipment in futile displays of power; he would withdraw and adjust his plans.

Name: General Maximilian Veers - Archbishop Green
Occupation: Imperial General
Bio: A proud and patriotic Imperial general, Veers is every bit the proper Imperial soldier and is best known as the man who led the Empire to victory at Hoth. While he was initially sceptical about the circumstances surrounding Emperor Skywalker's rise to power, Veers is now happy to accept him as his Emperor.

Name: Lando Calrissian - Protected NPC
Occupation: Baron Administrator of Cloud City
Bio: Wookiepedia Bio General Calrissian abandoned the Rebellion soon after its defeat at Endor, hoping to distance himself from the failed insurrection. As a personal favor, Emperor Skywalker reinstated him as Baron Administrator of Cloud City, further appointing him as the Empire's de facto governor of Bespin. Since then, his business has thrived as constant demand for tibanna gas keeps his operation in high demand. He still maintains close contact with both the Emperor Skywalker and his old friend, Han Solo.

Name: Moff Jerjerrod - Archbishop Green
Occupation: Imperial Moff
Bio: Formerly the commander of the Second Death Star at Endor, upon the Empire's victory he returned to his sector and resumed his normal duties as a Moff. Needless to say, he still remembers fondly the destructive power he wielded before and is dismayed about the ban on superweapons. For now, however, he is content to deal with the humdrum affairs of government. Interestingly, he has capitalised on his presence at Endor (perhaps exaggerating his importance slightly) and has forged a successful career in politics as well.

Name: Darth Trayton Kanarai - Cheapy the Hutt
Faction: Galactic Empire
Occupation: Dark Foce Acolyte
Bio: Trayton was once a Jedi Padawan at the Jedi Temple. After Order 66, he fled to the unknown Regions, presumably to his fall. When he returned, he swore loyalty to Luke Skyalker's new Empire and became his enforcer.
Personal Ship (Optional): The Legacy of the Sith, an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer.
Other (Optional): Trayton has two curved crimson lightsabers, although he usually only wields one at a time. He is the greatest master of Makashi since Count Dooku and Darth Nihilus.

Name: DK-447 - Pacifica
Occupation: Bounty Hunter
Bio: Built secretly on Coruscant by an expert programmer and mechanic, DK-447 was commissioned by Palpatine to be his personal assassin. Given an updated Droideka body, along with an Adaptive A.I., DK-447 is a fully sentient droid. Once he was finished building the droid, the programmer/mechanic presented it to Palpatine, who murdered him, but not before the programmer could activate a secret code, that made DK-447 fully independent. When Palpatine tried to give DK-447 a command, it shot a missile at him and unleashed a hail of blaster fire.

Since then DK has become a well known bounty hunter, one that rivaled Jango Fett. DK has taken many bounties that Fett himself was hunting, and has captured. In an engagement with Fett, when Fett tried to flank him with his rocketpack, DK-447 activated his own repulsor gear and followed Fett into the skies, nearly killing him. Since then Fett and 447 have crossed blasters many times, with no clear victor. 447 was approached by Count Dooku, and asked to be a General in the Droid Armies. DK-447 agreed.

During the Clone Wars, 447 was known as the Destroyer. Because of his lack of emotions, he would kill of entire planets, just to help the Confederacy. He was one of the people chosen for an attack on a Republic world, an attack that made it seem like the Republic had killed off the entire population on the orders of the Jedi Council. He did many such deeds, earning himself distinction. When the Clone wars finally ended, he just went back to being a bounty hunter, and has stayed that way ever since.

Name: Divon Nivarra - Pacifica
Bio: A native of Alderaan, he was born right after Order 66 was declared. His family all worked on repairing capitol ships, so when it came time for him too choose a job, he refused to break tradition. By sheer luck, no Jedi Hunter found out that there was a family of Force sensitives for a while. Divon was returning home from work one night, when he was 15. A rodian stopped him in the street, and told him to not go to his house. The rodian pulled him into an alley way, and told him about an organization called the Rebellion to restore the Republic, and organization better known as the Rebel Alliance. He said that some Imperial Stormtroopers had stormed his house and killed everyone there. The rodian lead Divon to the wreckage of his house, where he could see the bodies of his family. Here, on a abandoned rooftop, Divon Nivarra was sworn into the Rebel Alliance.

His escape from Alderaan involved a pair of R41-Starchasers. They where pursued by an Imperial Correlian Corvette, which Divon suggested they lead into an Asteroid field. The rodian replied he wasn't a good enough pilot, and Divon said that he had a knack for flying things. Divon lead the Corvette into a nearby asteroid field, where it soon was hammered into oblivion. The pair made there way to the Rebel Alliance, with the rodian revealing that his name was Varnar Dilgo. Divon soon became a fighter pilot for the Alliance, and mainly piloted a Z95 Headhunter. He participated in the stealing of the X-Wing from the Empire, and was soon put in command of Blue Squadron. He was one of the few pilots who survived the first Death Star, and he also was able to turn an ambush of his squadron by a proto-type Interdirector-Cruiser into the destruction of the proto-type, and the escape of most of his squadron. He also participated in the battle of Derra IV, and was one of the few Rebels who survived that mission.

At the Battle of Hoth, Divon flew around blowing up AT-ST's, and once landed on a group of stormtroopers, crushing some, and then took off again, burning the others too a crisp. After Hoth, he flew many missions, and participated in an infamous battle in the Galactic Civil War, the battle of Polis Massa. Here a Rebellion Nebulon-B -Frigate was ambushed by a pair of Victory-Class Star Destroyers and an Interdirector. Divon was able to take out the Interdirector with a salvo of proton torpedoes, but the Nebulon-B was destroyed, along with the supply convoy it was guarding.

Divon was a participant in the Battle of Endor. He lead his squadron in a strike against a knot of Tie Interceptors that broke the formation up, and allowed a nearby A-Wing squadron too finish them off. He also lead a group that went around blowing up shield generators on Imperial Capitol ships. When the Death Stars shield went down, he helped cover Wedge and Lando's descent, and was able to pick off a large amount of Ties and turbolaser turrets while doing so. He then attacked the Executor, blowing up several Turbolaser Turrets before it crashed and exploded. By this time the Imperial fleet was disorganized, and the Rebels where able to pick them off.

After the Battle of Endor, he flew many more missions before realizing he was Force-Sensitive. He then sought the training academy on Yavin 4. Here, he leaned the ways of the Jedi, but eventually returned to the military life, in order to command Mongol squadron, perhaps Rogue squadrons only New Republic equals.
Other: Jedi Knight, General in New Republic Navy, Commander of Mongol Squadron, has 1 yellow lightsaber.

Name: Ulrick Jifor - Pacifica2
Occupation: New Republic Admiral
Bio: Ulrick Jifor started as any normal Bothan would. He went and learned to be a spy. It never favored him, and he soon joined the Rebellion to transfer capitol ships. There he worked as bridge crew for 2 years, before he got his first command. It was the Correlian Corvette Destiny's Way. It was destroyed after he rammed it into the Executor at Endor, and made it slam into the Home One. By then he was a General, and 2 years later was appointed Admiral. As Admiral he has been a particularly strong advocate of peace, and refuses to attack anyone or go to war without solid evidence.

Name: Galak Fyyar - Cheapy
Occupation: Admiral
Bio: Admiral Fyyar is, quite simply, a technological genius A friend of General Rohm Moc, Galak helped the General with his Dark Trooper design. Galak has spent the last six years after the Battle of Endor researching new designs for the Empire, waiting for the day when they will actually be field tested...

The New Republic

Battered and defeated, the Rebel Alliance limped to the Unknown Regions of the galaxy and began to establish a new society. Despite Imperial promises of peace, the Alliance remained bitter and began constructing a new fleet to engage the Empire once more in the struggle for freedom – until Emperor Skywalker approached them with an offering of peace. With this overture, the Galactic Civil War ended and the New Republic was born. On the industrialized world of Gerund IV, the Republic established its new capital and began the process of rebuilding. Currently, the New Republic is a thriving civilization, responsible for mapping almost the entire Unknown Regions and colonizing. Despite the peace, many officials remain distrustful of the Empire, and rumors abound of secret Jedi…

Name: Leia Organa Solo – Pacifica
Occupation: President of the New Republic
Bio: TF.N Bio When it became clear that the Rebels had lost the day, Leia Organa called for an immediate surrender. The newly christened Emperor Skywalker granted her an audience, and the two spoke for several hours. No one quite knows what was said, but, in the end, the Alliance was allowed safe passage to the Unknown Regions to build up a new galactic faction. Leia was appointed interim leader until a new constitution could be arranged. During this period, she married General Han Solo. Later, she was appointed President and heads up many official duties. Her expertise has led to a number of important treaties between the Empire and the Republic.

Name: Tiara Tranada - kypjargon
Age: 34
Occupation: Commander of the Second Fleet
Birthplace: Corellia
Bio: Tiara was born on Corellia to two agents of Corellian Security. Because of her parents' high standing within the military, she was exposed to the intricasies of Command from a very early age. The New Republic military was gutted in the battle of Endor, and thus she rose quickly through the ranks to become Fleet Commander of the New Republic Second Fleet.

Name: Will Kobindi - kypjargon
Age: 29
Occupation: Squadron Leader - Rogue Squadron
Birthplace: Corellia
Bio: One of few Corellians to leave his home system when he joined the Empire, William Kobindi was a natural in the drivers seat of any vehicle he ever entered. He excelled at the Imperial Academy and achieved what no pilot before or since has ever achieved. His first posting was to the 181st TIE Squadron. The 181st was on board the Executor when Vader was searching for Luke Skywalker, and many of the pilots questioned his ability to lead. Will went further than that and resigned his commission in order to lead the Rebellion. Flying missions from the Base on Circarpous XIII, he met Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa personally before they crashed on Mimban and was a part of the rescue team that removed them. After the battle of Endor, Wedge Antilles was promoted elsewhere, and Will was given command of Rogue Squadron, a title that he is reluctant to relinquish despite more prestigious postings being offered.

Name: Saysen Jazem - Friend of Old
Occupation: Ex-Assasin
Bio: Some, in the past, had said that Saysen Jazem was the most weird man in the galaxy, and they wouldn't have been far wrong. Saysen was comprised of contradictions, for example he despied killing, yet had lived as a hired killer all his life. He was sickened by the sight of blood, yet had painstakingly crafted what was probably the only gun in the galaxy that would draw blood at every shot. Then there was Jazem himself, despite making all the decisions that would shorten his life, he had lived past the human life expectancy already, and despite his effeciency and taltent he preferred to have someone to answer to.

Name: Dagmar Morlev - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Supreme Commander of all Republic Forces (Formerly: Chief Surface Marshal and High Admiral)
Bio: Born 36 BBY on Alderaan, Dagmar was one of the few survivors of the destruction of Alderaan by the first Death Star. Joining the Rebellion soon after, Dagmar distinguished himself as a commander, both on the ground and in space. Holding ranks in both the ground and naval forces at the same time (Quite unusual in the Rebellion, likely against regulation.) made him stand out among the officer ranks. After the Battle of Endor, Dagmar Morlev was promoted to Chief Surface Marshal and High Admiral. When hostilities began boiling over between the Republic and Empire, it was decided by the Senate that a position of Supreme Military Command was needed. After some deliberation, Dagmar was chosen as Supreme Commander of all Republic Forces. As a survivor of Alderaan, he holds a deep hostility to the Galactic Empire and Luke Skywalker especially, for what he sees as a grievous betrayal. Eschewing larger and more powerful ships, Dagmar is a realist and prefers conventional forces. As such, his flagship is a MC80b Star Cruiser. His military headquarters is a 2KM space station (Code named: Alpha Prime) orbiting Tragos, one of the few heavily industrialized New Republic worlds neighboring the Gerund System.

Jedi Knights

The guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy, as they have been for millenia, the Jedi are still a significant presence in the galaxy. The Purge left very few of these renowned warriors, but a splinter of the Old Order still remains, so carefully hidden that even Master Yoda missed their Force signatures. In the wake of the Galactic Civil War, the Force is once again beginning to flourish. The ex-mercenary Kyle Katarn, to whom Luke taught many secrets of the Force, has forged a New Order that serves the interests of the New Republic. Many of these Jedi distrust the Empire because of Order 66 and the nature of its leader. Still, in a twist of fate, circumstance has led the New Order into an unlikely alliance with the Empire. From the backdrop, the Old Order under Darius Syphex has arisen once again, often at odds with the New Order. A clever Sith might take advantage of this situation by exploiting the friction between the two groups...

New Order

Name: Kyle Katarn - Friend of Old
Occupation: Jedi Knight
Bio: When Luke became Emperor he offered Katarn a place at his side, Kyle refused the offer but still has some connections with Emperor Skywalker and will often serve as a diplomat for the New Republic. He has recently begun training other Jedi in secret. Although he means no harm, Kyle thinks it's best to keep this under wraps so only a few high-ranking NR officials know of it, he's even managed to keep it secret from Emperor Skywalker himself.

Name: Gydon Hemmorzin - Friend of Old
Occupation: Jedi High General
Bio: The Jedi Generals are an arm of the NJO dedicated to warfare. They master battlefield tactics and troop movements, believing that one day the galaxy will be plunged into war again. The Jedi High General is the most accomplished of the genrals and sits on the NJO council. Gydon Hemmorzin himself is a descendant of the Thyferran Lords, a line that dates back to before the Old Republic. And like his ancestors Gydon is a brilliant General and politican, but has the usual family flaws. The most prominant of these flaws in Gydon is his mild megalomania, which led him to join the Jedi, and then the Generals in the first place. Gydon carries a purple lightsaber and practices the aggressive Ataru form of lightsaber combat.

Old Order

Name: Darius Syphex - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Jedi of the Old Order philosophy
Bio: A force sensitive individual, Darius was a few days away from achieving Knighthood when the Great Jedi Purge began. One of the lucky few to survive, he found refuge in the galaxy of many trillions. Viewing the New Jedi order as schismatic heretics, Darius hopes to rebuild the Old Jedi order on the basic principles it was founded on. Traveling through the galaxy he has attracted several force sensitive individuals of various ages and species to him, allowing him to train them in his own fledgling order. The lightsaber he wields is green, with electrum plating reminiscent of the Grand masters of the Old Order. His white cloak and long flowing beard create an impression of wisdom around him, and his skills in the force are only surpassed by his rhetorical abilities. He is a practitioner of Soresu, Style III.

Name: Persia - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Jedi Master
Species: Human
Bio: The lightsaber Master of the Jedi academy, Master Persia is a master of all seven lightsaber forms. He uses a curved green saber and is most proficient in the second saber style, Makashi. He is a rather slim, extremely agile man and has a rather grim demeanor. One of Darius’s first adherents, Persia’s original name was abandoned as soon as he joined the Order. Formerly a Royal-Guard in training, he deserted when Darius found him and opened him to the possibilities of the force. He most commonly wears a shorter dark green robe. He sits with GrandMaster Darius and master Thano on the Jedi Council.

Name: Lila Numarkus - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Apprentice of the Old Order
Bio: Lila Numarkus is the first and so far only apprentice of Master Persia, the Jedi Weaponmaster of the Old Order. Found at the young age of 12, Lila was taken by Grandmater Darius to train in the ways of the Jedi. When she reached the age of 14, she became the padawan of then Jedi Knight Persia. Wishing to form a master of the order that would complement his weaknesses (A lack of physical strength, as Persia is rather thin), Persia instructed Lila mainly in Juyo, a vast break from traditional lightsaber instruction. Making it even more unusual was her exclusive instruction in the use of a double-bladed saber, equipped with twin blue crystals. Although one of the most talented and skilled members of the Old Order, she still has not been granted permission for the Knight trials. Her unqiue empathic abilities give her extreme insight into others and unusually powerful abilities at healing. This, coupled with her pacifistic bent has caused her much resentment against Master Darius and Persia over her training and their decisions and policies. The only other member of the Order whom she truely enjoys associating with is Master Thano, the ancient archivist of the Order. Lila sepnds much of her time exercising, meditating on her empathy (when the masters aren't around) or assisting on missions.

The Sith Order

Shadow Hand Council

Originally organized as a splinter of the Empire opposing Skywalker's ascent to the throne, the Shadow Hand Council has allied with the Dark Lord Cassius, also known as Eyanus D'Crat. Together, under the new Sith leadership, they unite to take control of the galaxy. But can they deny their own lusts for power to come together fully to see the ultimate dream completed? Time will tell.

Name: Eyanus D’Crat – Melkor1
Occupation: Proclaimed “Dark Lord of the Sith”
Bio: A mysterious, hooded figure and the potential answer the Order’s greatest prayers. He approached their leader, [leader name], in secret and announced himself the Chosen One, the one who would lead the Sith to victory over the galaxy and restore the Sith Empire to power. No one has ever seen him in person; he has always made himself available via encoded transmissions to an undetermined location within the Unknown Regions. He has promised that, one day soon, he would come to the Order and the crusade would begin.

Name: 'Cronal' aka 'Agent BlackHole' - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Former Hand of Palpatine, Dark Jedi Sage and Dark Prophet
Bio: Wiki Bio Cronal was one of the most prominent of the Emperor's hands at the time of the Battle of Endor. After Palpatine's fall and death, Cronal fled the Empire, taking his personal stormtrooper contingents, his personal battle fleet and an array of his students and hangers-on, including Jerec and Cronal's daughter, Sariss. Using his abilities with Sith Alchemy, he has designed and created an array of bizarre creations and mutations that lately have been popping up in the crews of pirates and smugglers...
His rumored prophetic abilities have made him able to elude capture several times and have won him minor renown among many of Palpatine's former Dark Jedi servants. He currently makes his base on an uncharted planet which he calls “New Korriban”. Located in Wild Space, its precise coordinates is unknown to all but Cronal’s followers.

Name: Jerec - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Dark Jedi Master
Species: Miraluka
Bio: The associate of the Darkside Prophet Cronal, the Dark Jedi Jerec seeks to restore the Empire under his own rule, convinced that he must be the successor to Palpatine. Jerec's command of the force is tremendous, rumored to rival that of Darth Vader's. Wielding a single red saber, Jerec is a practitioner of both Form Five (Djem So) and Form Two (Makashi). Jerec also has the odd ability to create a "shroud" over the force, lowering the connection to the force of all those around him.

Name: Sariss - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Dark Jedi
Species: Human
Bio: Sariss, a prophetess of the Darkside and apprentice to Jerec, Sariss is a practitioner of Form IV, Ataru. After the disastrous Battle of Endor, Sariss fled with Cronal, Jerec and a wide assortment of other Dark Jedi to Cronal’s hidden base, hoping to escape the “False Emperor” as they call Luke Skywalker. Unlike her grim master, Sariss has always been rather lax, often diverting herself off on “trifling pleasures” as Jerec refers to them.

Name: Lord Sirax - Imperial_Persia
Occupation: Sith Lord, Agent of the Order of the Black Heart
Bio: Sirax was born on the secret Dark World of Ziost. He was raised, and became highly successful, in the highly competitive Sith society of Dromund Kaas, slaying a Sith Lord to assume his title. He was sent out by his Order to destabilize the galaxy, to start new civil wars and order new galactic tragedies to foster the rise of the true Sith Empire!

Name: Dreadnaught - Friend of Old
Occupation: a Dark Jedi
Bio: Dreadnaught’s past is unknown to all except himself. He seems to be the twisted production of some experiments but that can only be speculated as everyone who has ever seen his true face has died shortly after. To those who are force sensitive they can feel that he is always cloaking himself in the force to hide his true power, and his true nature. Dreadnaughts strength does not only lie in his power in the force, but also in the power of his being, who he is could change the galaxy and rewrite the fate of everyone in it.

Faction: Whichever one Jerec/Cronal/Cassius is in.
Occupation: Dark Jedi
Bio: Trel is a Chiss male from Csilla, one of the only known Chiss to have been discovered with Force Sensitivity. He was taken by the Jedi Order shortly before Order 66, and was one of the lucky few Padawans to have been off world when the Jedi Temple was sieged, fortunately for him. His master, the Dark Woman, was separated from him in the aftermath of the attack. He was found by spacers who were hoping to cash in on the bounty on live Jedi set up by Palpatine. In a massive display of Force power and rage, Trel killed the spacers and stole their ship, eventually crashing it on Korriban (Big Surprise). He soon succumbed to the dark energies there, learning the ways of the Force from the long-dead spirit of none other than Ludo Kresh.

After nearly two decades into his exile, Trel had reached his peak in the eyes of his new master. He was given the title of Sith Lord (Despite the fact that he had not been BORN Sith) and left Korriban for good. He was recruited into the New Sith Order and has since become one of the many 'Sith Lords' in their ranks.

Order of the Black Heart

The brainchild of Lakh-tesh Gepta, a disgruntled Imperial officer and ex-Black Sun operative, the Order of the Black Heart has established itself as one of the most dangerous terrorist organizations and dark side cults in the galaxy. Gepta’s dream is simple: to see a true Sith return to the Imperial throne on Coruscant. While the Order is technically only a small organization, not regarded as a true faction as it controls no planets, it does possess a sizable fleet of stolen ships. Gepta recently came across a strange, hooded figure who called himself D’Crat. Upon a show of power, Gepta proclaimed D’Crat the Dark Lord of the Sith and the crusade to deliver the galaxy into Sith hands once more began. While some scoff at D’Crat as a mere figurehead and an impostor, there is more to this Dark Lord than meets the eye…

Name: Lakh-tesh Gepta - Imperial_Persia
Species: Croke
Age: **** knows
Faction: Order of the Black Heart
Position: Leader/Founder/The Big Cheese/Eyanus' Lackey
Bio: Lakh-tesh is the son of Rokur Gepta. He is a shadowy figure of mystery and power. The powers of the Force available to him exceed even those of his father, who was able to destroy all life on a planet using a special force technique. After his father's death three years before the Battle of Yavin, Lakh-tesh joined the Galactic Empire, becoming an intelligence agent second only to Director Isard. He soon grew tired of this service and elected to join the criminal organisation, Black Sun. Soon after Black Sun was dismantled, he startled the Order of the Black Heart, the name coming from the manner in which his father was killed. His goal is simple. To oust Skywalker and his "government" and see power used as it should be. For the oppression of the weak.

Feeling little real need to remain loyal to the new Emperor, he promptly deserted, taking with him several million credits and a Star Destroyer. While the Imperials hunted him relentlessly for a while, Crasset eventually managed to evade them and went into hiding on the very edges of the Unknown Regions. There a shady member of the Black Heart contacted him, appealing to his desire for money in exchange for his loyalties. The spineless Moff agreed, and is now a puppet of the Order.

Name: Captain Acton Tallard - Archbishop Green
Occupation: Crasset's lackey.
Bio: Commander of the Victory I-class Star Destroyer "Temeraire", Tallard followed Crasset to the Order of the Black Heart after Endor, sharing his views that the Empire was doomed. However, the Captain reluctantly found himself obeying a superior who he felt to be sycophantic at best, weak at worst, and attempted to defect back to the Empire. Crasset foiled this attempt however, and realising Tallard's value as an officer shielded him from the wrath of the Order's top brass. Tallard is now forced to obey Crasset's every order - a job which he finds distasteful to him.

The Outer Rim Protection Association

The former Oversector Outer of the Galactic Empire, its leader, Grand Moff Ardus Kaine, has declared this region an independent state, although there are hidden ties to the Shadow Hand Council and the new Sith powers in the galaxy. Beginning its career with a bold strike on Coruscant, the former Grand Moff's aims remain ambiguous: what is he really after?

He eventually became Moff of the Azure Sector in the Core, but when Tarkin perished, Kaine was given the oppotunity to take his place as Grand Moff of the Oversector Outer, and he accepted. He took over Tarkin's holdings, including the Scourge Squadron, an elite force of Star Destroyers, and got the immense Star Dreadnought Reaper shortly after.
After Palpatine's death, Kaine feared that the Empire would splinter, but the young Skywalker held it all together, but the thoughts of his own little empire has not been purged from his mind, but he remains loyal for now.

He was accepted into the Imperial ranks and began developing weapons for them. Following the destruction of the original Death Star, Leth assisted Bevel Lemelisk in designing both the Tarkin and the Death Star II. Before the latter's destruction above Endor, Emperor Palpatine arranged for faking Leth's dead, and he got his own research facility on a large asteroid in the Orpor Belt deep in the Outer Rim, where he, unbeknownst to Emperor Skywalker, continues his weapon experiments. By 8 ABY, Shada was traveling the Galaxy aboard the freighter The Fury with Mistryl trainee Dunc T'racen, when the pair of them were caught up in a complex con run by Ghitsa Dogder and Fenig Nabon. After this, Shada became bodyguard for the smuggler chief Mazzic, a role she would perform for the next decade, until 19 ABY. In this job, she appeared with plaited hair and a blank expression-until trouble started. Then she was all business, throwing enameled zenji needles with lethal accuracy and using her more-than-capable combat skills to protect the smuggler chief.

Sixteen years after the Battle of Endor, Shada prevented Karoly from assassinating Mazzic, and came under punishment from the Eleven who led the Mistryl. She left Mazzic's employment to avoid the Mistryl hunter teams, seeking to join up with the New Republic. Instead, Leia Organa Solo offered Shada's services to Talon Karrde, who was heading into the Kathol Sector to locate a copy of the Caamas Document. Shada accompanied him, and the two grew fond of each other. When Karrde located information that revealed the truth about the fake Grand Admiral Thrawn, Shada was there to stop the cloned Major Grodin Tierce from killing Gilad Pellaeon and the Mistryl leader, Paloma D'asima. As a result the hunter teams were called off and Shada officially joined Karrde's new joint intelligence organization, taking the role of Kardde's unofficial second in command that had been open since Mara Jade left the organization.

A gunship wouldn't fit between the shields and the Ship, the other bit looks interesting though

Maegereg - Ssi-Ruuk shields have room for fighters, so I'm gonna allow that part to make it interesting, but no corvette.

    Tiara Tranada

"Bring down the shields, I want a screen of gunships and Nebulon-B's between them and the bridge. All ships destroy those fighters, repeat all ships fire on that squadron. Collateral Damage is nothing compared to what I will do to you if they get to the bridge!"

Three Nebulon B's and two Corellian Corvettes formed up in the enemy squadron's flight path while four more hammered the squadron from above, with 75% of shots hitting fighters. Within a few moments several contacts disappeared from the telemetry.

"Blast it Will, where are you?"

"This is Rogue Squadron, we are engaging the enemy."

Tiara watched as the X-Wings of Rogue Squadron obliterated all but one of the enemy fighters as they swept in from where they were hiding near one of the Nebulon B's Ion trails.

My objection was the fact that he posted completely wiping out the bridge in one post.

Melkor and Persia, you seem to have forgotten the little battle on Thyferra. Tut, tut, I'd have thought one of you would have posted on that while I've been indesposed. Anyway, I'm availiable now

    Thyferra

As the two balls of energy whizzed over his head Gydon swore loudly. This Sith would take its toll on him definately. However it was nessecary that he was stopped. Gydon stared across at the Sith panting heavily. Whatever the freak had done with the force was over now, and Gydon had the initiative.

He sent his lightsaber spinning at the Sith and leapt, following the saber. The Sith knocked his saber to one side, but left himself open to Gydon's flying body. Gydon crashed into the Sith, and the other saber followed Gydon's. Summoning the force Gydon sent his fist smashing down into the Sith's head. But the Sith was too fast, he narrowly dodged Gydon's fist, but was spryed with a shower of dirt.

Quickly Gydon recovered and drove his elbow into the Sith's face. There was a nasty cracking sound. As Gydon drew his arm away he saw s smear of blood on the Sith's face, and a broken nose. Hissing the Sith sent him flying off with the force. Gydon fell back to earth ten metres away with a crunch. Gydon moaned softly and forced himself to his feet. As his vison cleared he saw a red blur coming towards him.

Gydon summoned his saber just in time to block the Sith's wild blow. Gydon's lips curled back in a rictus snarl as the two sabers locked. Gydon and the Sith slowly rose up onto their toes as they tried to focre each other back. Suddenly Gydon nutted the Sith, and as the Sith staggard back to his feet. Gydon threw out an arm, using to force to lift the Sith off its feet and begin chocking it to death.

If Gydon could have seen it's eyes he guessed they would have widened. He cackled viciously as the Sith struggled with the invisible power around its neck. "Didn't think Jedi used powers like this?" Gydon mocked "think again fool!" He spat at the Sith, his eyes narrowing with hate. Gydon had always been told that he got too caught up in things, but he never listened. When commanding he was completely detached from emotion, but in battle it helped, so he used it.

Gydon was too focused to see his saber, which he'd dropped when he bagan chocking the Sith, fly up at him. He screamed as it stroked the front of his face, burning it. He felt his eye explode as the saber racked up his face. He fell backwards in agony, screaming in pain. "Who has the upper hand now?" the Sith mocked. Gydon acting on instict used the Force to dull the pain in his head. Ignoring the saber lying next to him, he leapt to his feet and punched the Sith in the stomach. The cur doubled up, winded. Gydon summoned his saber to his hand.

Quickly the Sith stood up, blocking Gydon's killer blow. The sabers locked again, but their feet stayed firmly on the ground this time. Suddenly Gydon heard a voice from overhead. "Gydon, get abord. Imperials have arrived, we got a message from Kyle, we're with them now!" Master Hershaw shouted. Gydon knew better than to turn his back on a Sith. Suddenly he ducked and as the Sith's blade spun over his head. He stuck his leg out and spun around, tripping the Sith up. Silently he chuckled.

Gydon then leapt into the air, using all the power he could muster. He landed on the open boarding ramp of the hovering transport. "I will kill you" he souted at the Sith who had just gotten to his feet, he looked like he was preparing to jump as the boarding ramp slowly hissed closed.

Gydon felt the ship pitch upards as they headed out of the atmosphere. Suddenly his power fled from him, he shreiked as the pain in the right side of his face returned. but he quickly blacked out as his adrenalin levels subsided.

    ***

Gydon woke up. He was lying on a table. His face had stopped burning, but there was an itch perfect for driving someone insane. He couldn't see anything, but his right eye wasn't closed, in fact there was definately something wrong with his right eye. He sat up, dizziness overtook him, and a hand gently pressed him back down. "Now sir, you wouldn't want us to make a mistake here would you?" Gydon grunted, speech was presntly beyond him. He heard some whispering, then a needle pricked into his right arm. He tried to sit up again, but he seemed heavier than before. Sleep took him back to a land of darkness.

    ***

"I think it's time to bring him round" a hushed voice said. Gydon stirred again from sleep. He felt water around him. The water was flowing, flowing downwards. Gydon couldn't see, but he was sure he was going down. His feet hit the floor and the fluid flowed down over his head, down through a grille in the floor.

"Are you awake?" a voice asked, different from the first. Gydon muttered something unintelligable. "Best give him a kick start, he's needed.

"True, the NukeDriver is a mass driver cannon armed with clusters of minature Nuclear Fusion-warheads. The purpose of this weapon is knock out shields, as a detonation against an enemy ship's particle shields will release radiation, often enough to disable the nearby shield generator, making the ship vulnerable to torpedoes, missiles and, of course, more NukeDriver shots. Another advantage is that only power and ammunition supply set the limit for how big a NukeDriver can be. In theory, we could make one in the same scale as the Death Star's superlaser, though it would eat enormous amounts of power. Is that what you had in mind?"

    Thyferra
Talon was surprised to see the massive fleets in the Thyferra system. Luckily his ship had good sensor cloaking, and he was able to slip through the blockade. They had landed in a forest several hours outside the capital city, and Talon and Shada had taken speeder bikes into the city proper. After seeing the massive armies, they were ready for trouble. They saw more and more devastation as they got closer to the city. It seemed that the government had collapsed. Several times they had seen groups of soldiers, but they had managed to avoid them. Now they saw more and more soldiers as they got closer to the city, and they became harder to avoid. Once they were shot at, but they managed to get away. They ditched their speeders on the edge of the city as dark was falling, and made their way in on foot. Slinking through back alleys they managed to remain unseen by the troops, who seemed only intent of pillaging everything. At last they made it to the bank. It was close to midnight, and they needed to be out of the city before sunrise. The bank doors didn't prove hard to break through. Inside, it was clear that soldiers had gotten here already. The vault doors lay in ruins, the safe deposit boxes broken open. Talon walked into the vault while Shada stood guard, looking for a computer terminal. Everything was smashed to pieces. Talon started meticulously looking through the computers, pulling out their hard drives if still intact. Several hours later they had all the recoverable data from the bank. It was time to make their escape. A group of soldiers was passing the front of the building as they opened the door leading to the alley where they had entered. But there was the sound of booted footsteps, and they turned once more. The soldiers had stopped in front of the building. They were trapped.

My thought is that since this is a bank that the Order of the Black heart used to fund their operations, perhaps someone has come to make sure all evidence is gone. But maybve it's just some troopers.

I object to the complete eleimination of Mongol Squadron, WHO ARE ROGUE SQUADRONS EQUALS. But the Gunships can stay away.

" Leader we've got enemies al around us.", Mongol 7 commed in.

" That bridge, is it gone?", Divon asked.

" No, its not, but the sheild are down.", Mongol 9 chimed in.

" Alright squadron, escort the gunships out of here, I'm going to do one more thing first.", Divon said.

" Understood sir.", Mongol 2 said, before a misisle slammed into him, destroying him.

By the time the left, only 3 other pilots where alive. Divon looped around, stuttering fire, then firing a quad-laser burst, killing an X-Wing, Rogue Squadron. He looped away from the Rogues, waited until they almost had Proton Torpedo locks, then went into cruise mode, diving and whirling at high speeds. He arrived around the SSD's engine, then faced the back of the bridge.

" Ace eject.", he said, before firing all his proton torpedoes, seeting his lasers on continuos dual-fire, accerlating to the ighest speed, and ejecting, watching the X-Wing slam into the SSD.

Before he left, all ships in the area heard three words.

    " For the Rebellion!!!"

He was tractored into the hangar of a Mon Cal Cruiser, which proceded to open fire on the Rebel Fleet. Waves of fired descended from 16 Imperial Mrk. II Star Destroyers and many other support ships.

    " Interdierectors, activate Gravity Wells."

" It's Good to see you General Nivarra."

    " And you, Admiral Jifor."

    Somewhere in Wild Space

The organization would now be running much smoother. Garrity Thano was sure of that, at least on his own end. With the Black hearts off his back and leaving him be, his operations were booming. He was sure the same was true for the Black Hearts, who, since they had joined forces with the Shadow Hand, were essentially turning over the serious underworld operations to him.

Gladly, so long as he got his cut. He had already reached out to one of the other major players in the underworld, the Zann Consortium, so far, no response. "I hope that means he's just busy..." Still, Garrity Thano, although he certainly enjoyed and abused the delicious luxuries that his immense wealth afforded him, he was careful to never lose sight of what needed to be done. Zeltrons and fine Corellian wines and lavish parties were all well and good, but everyone has their priorities.

Currently, he was reviewing the assets and lackeys of the organization, searching for anything not being exploited to its full potential, or even not be exploited at all. Indeed, here was a hefty "subsidy" being paid to one Moff Crasset. Bringing up the dossier on the aforementioned man, Thano read up on his record with the Black Hearts. "Defected... fugitive, located in Wild space, commands small loyalist garrison..." What a shame, the man had been languishing out there for far too long, doing no one, especially himself any good! Time to get him on the horn at once!

Moving swiftly to his desk, Garrity typed out a message to this erstwhile Moff.

    To: Moff Crasset
From: Garrity Thano, representing the Order of the Black Heart
    Subject: New Operations
Message: Greetings Moff Crasset, I am Garrity Thano, chief of underworld operations for this organization. You probably know me from the holonet news, although I've kept a low profile the last few sectors. In fact, I'm sure we've met before. You were the Moff of the Sepan system, right? Yes, exactly, I'm sure you remember the incident well. Never thought I'd be sending orders to a Moff! Anyway, given the New Republic's recent incursion into the Outer Rim and the current situation at Thyferra, the Empire has alot on its plate right now. We want you to add an extra helping. Make your own incursion into the outer Rim in whatever way you can. Disrupt shipping, destroy infrastructure, invade some minor words, even start revolts using your no doubt massive amount of personal charisma. Its all your decision, just don't sit around doing nothing. Also, please accept a considerable bonus I am sending you and your men with this message. Finally, you and your men have been rather lonely up there, I'm sure. Got you covered there pal, I'll be sending you a few companions for you to make those off-duty hours all the sweeter. Best regards and happy pillaging,

    Garrity Thano, Master Smuggler, Esq.

P.S. Please refrain from killing any of the companions I am sending you, as many of them are personal friends of mine or relatives of friends of mine and that type of thing can put a strain on my relationships. I'm sure you understand. Also, be saure to follow the guidelines set about in the "Manual for attaining optimal operation" I wrote personally. In many circles it has been highly regarded.

Unfortunate he couldn't converse with him in person, but the Shadow hand Council had decided all messages, in addition to being absolutely secure must be as simple as possible to make encryption and speed all the easier. No fancy holo-transmitters for them! Sending it off, Garrity Thano lay back in his chair. Enough work for now, he was hungry! Perhaps sautéed rancor, or maybe Gorax liver... Time to go back to the rec room, have a chat with some of his immediate subordinates. He was glad he could talk about non-work related stuff out there, everyone needed a break after all.

    Thyferra

Jerec sneered as he watched the ship rocket off, taking the Jedi away. Wiping the blood from his face, he paused to survey the damage. His nose was broken, a wound, while painful, was superficial and could be healed, given time.

He himself had given just as good as he had received, giving a nasty burn to the face of that mysterious Jedi. It had been quite some time since he had faced a Jedi, especially one so skilled, but he would improve given more exposure to his enemies. One thing was certain, a mastery of Makashi was going to be vital in the weeks ahead! Lord Slane made a mental note to spend the next several weeks intensely honing his Makashi skills, for his foresight told him they would surely meet again.

Now, to find the others... No, wait... Rather, better to focus on assisting the troops. Reaching into his tunic, he activated his comm. "Lord Slane, we have gained access to the main power generator supplying the shield emitter. Requesting assistance in rooting out remaining resistance." Jerec snapped the comm shut. "I'm on my way..."

    ~

"Puny Jedi, are you afraid?" Dreadnaught's mocking growl sent chills down Persia's spine. Stepping back, Persia subconsciously hoped to avoid this fight. Dreadnaught's laugh cruelly taunted the Jedi Master yet again. "Young Persia, you should remember, the Sith are mere mortals. Like us, with powers like us, only using them for evil, rather then good. To fear them is as irrational as to fear your masters." Master Thano's words echoed through his mind.

He snapped himself back into the real world. Time to analyze his opponent. "A user of Juyo, an athletic fool, just like those cruel wookies I had to deal with back at the young trader's academy..." Persia had fought this man before and he understood what he was capable of. Switching to Ataru, Persia decided his strategy had to be one of avoidance and the frustration of his opponent.

Dreadnaught leapt towards Persia, intent on doing battle. leaping aside, the agile Jedi master deftly avoided the crimson saber of his foe. Leaping aside again, he avoided another blow, and another, and another. Moving quickly, staying just out of reach. [i]"Wait for your opponent to make a mistake..."/i]

What the ****? Since when are there sixteen mark two star destroyers there? And the Imps don't use Mon Cal cruisers. And there is no way one could get to within tractor range of a Super Star Destroyer without getting blown up.

And your squadron could be ****ing Jedi masters for all the difference it would make ... those were anti-fighter gunships and as well as Rogue Squadron shooting at you. Also, elite squadrons don't just defect to the Empire, because they got to elite level by fighting the Imperials.

Gentlemen, please resolve this business in an orderly manner. I'm not going to intervene for now, since I think the two of you can work it out; however, if it gets much more out of hand, I will have to get involved. [/disciplinary pig]

Yeh, will post tomorrow...or today...however you look at it. Time for bed now, however.

Kyp, let me lay this out:

    A. At the beginning of the fight, Divon sent out a call for reinforcements. Reason why they are here so soon will be explained. Just post your side of the battle.

    B. If you had been reading my posts, you would know that a Mon Cal Cruiser had defected.

    C. Mongol Squadrons had greater loyalty to Divon Nivarra than to the New Republic

    D. You are not killing the entire squadron, not to mention that you wouldn't be able to get close enough to them with anti-fighter gunships. You remeber the Correlian Gunships...

    E. And with that, I would like to call the remaining 3 pilots of Mongol Squadron(minus Divon), Protected NPC's, for roles they will have further on with Divon. I would also like to call the reminaing Rogues Protected NPC's, though I can't think of a reason, other than giving them equal status to Mongol Squadron.

    CORUSCANT-IMPERIAL CITY-LOWER LEVELS

Nom Anor was surprised to see he had a transmission from his new "partner": Lakh-tesh Gepta, leader of the Order of the Black Heart.

"Greetings, Nom Anor," Lakh-tesh said. "The Order requires your assistance yet again."

"To what do I owe the honor?" Nom replied, sarcastically in his mind but not so that Gepta would be able to detect it.

"Another one of the Order's allies, Tyber Zann, has been trying to profit from the fledgling war betweent the Empire and the Republic. Already it has appeared that he has alerted both parties that General Carlist Rieekan is alive and in his custody, and is prepared to ransom him to either side. He has revealed too much already about our endgame, and must be eliminated. Due to your excellent job with the Veers situation, I am entrusting this task to you. Perform it however you please, as long aas Zann is silenced. Lakh-tesh Gepta out."

Tyber Zann...Nom thought. He had heard of such an individual. Indeed, it was hard not to when you were acquainted with the galactic underworld. He was an opportunist, if what Nom had heard was half correct. This Zann individual could be turned to serve our needs, given the proper...incentive. Nom began the lengthy process of donning his ooglith masquer, and prepared to catch a shuttle to Bothawui, where it would be easy to locate Zann from, provided one had enough credits, which Nom did, courtesy of the Order of the Black Heart.

    SPACE-THE REDOUBT

Yuul Anraa was thrown to the side of the Vagaari battleship as it shuddered once more from Chiss laser fire. He cursed in Yuuzhan Vong. Vagaari crewmen still ran as fast as they could towards the escape pods. Yuul pushed one aside as he got up again.

"Time to abandon ship!" he said, entering one of the pods and pressing the captain's master control button, ejecting all of the pods at once and leaving the Vagaari stranded. Yuul grinned as he imagined the fate of the Vagaari. He imagined the Chiss would not show much pity for their enemies.

Chiss clawcraft and Imperial TIE's littered space. Yuul was confident, however, that Yun-Harla and Yun-Yammka were not done with him yet, that he was still useful to serve their bidding by surviving.

I'm putting my answers in bold, but this does not mean that I am yelling

    A. At the beginning of the fight, Divon sent out a call for reinforcements. Reason why they are here so soon will be explained. Just post your side of the battle.

I know that, but the title post says that both the Empire and the Alliance have been demilitarised heavily. Your 'reinforcements' are equivalent to the entire starfleet showing up at a Rebel traitor's word. The numbers are unrealistic.

    B. If you had been reading my posts, you would know that a Mon Cal Cruiser had defected.

Again, unrealistic. The Mon Cal hate the Empire. There is no way that one of their ships would defect.

    C. Mongol Squadrons had greater loyalty to Divon Nivarra than to the New Republic

    Okay, that's fair enough.

    D. You are not killing the entire squadron, not to mention that you wouldn't be able to get close enough to them with anti-fighter gunships. You remeber the Correlian Gunships...

Okay, to be honest I only took out all but the leader cause I was annoyed. And I took down the shield specifically to allow the gunships to attack the fighters. So shall we say that your protected NPCs and Divon survived the onslaught?

That is fair enough, but a suicide run against the bridge would nullify their status, you know that right? Because protected NPC just means that enemies do not go out of their way to shoot them. If they make suicidal attacks their status does not protect them.

    Orbiting Ryloth

"Not sure who this one is, but I don't think we want him alive. Eliminate the X-Wing intruder." Stele's order flitted through his escort. "Agknowledge, Onyx One, using your target for attack." the Tie-Interceptors escorting Maarek's Defender broke off into two seperate groups of three, hoping to catch Master Vos in a crossfire.

Quinlan Vos saw what was coming before it even happened. Twirling his starfighter to the side, he dodged a barrage of laser fire. Looping to the side, he let out a spray of laser fire, severely damaging one of the Interceptor escorts.

The interceptors broke off and scattered. Quinlan wasted no time, whipping his fighter around and letting loose a barrage of fire that iced another one of the interceptors.

"Alpha Five has been destroyed." Maarek Stele swore under his breath. "This guy is serious." Accelerating his Tie-Defender to maximum, he zoomed past Quinlan, just missing him with a smattering of laser fire. Quinlan responded with a hail of his own red bolts, glancing off the shields of Onyx Leader.

Maarek, taking advantage of his ship's superior maneuverability, turned around 180 degrees and fired his entire salvo of cannons linked. Master Quinlan, who had never seen a ship of that class before, was taken by surprise, his Jedi reflexes saving his ship from annihilation.

Rather, only a few of the cannons connected, blowing out the shield generator in the process. "Blast!" Quinlan shouted to noone in particular. Vos had faced death before and he'd been in many situations worse then this, but he certainly didn't want to die now because some fighter jockey got in a lucky shot. Maybe it was just that he was getting older, but whatever the reason, he decided it was time to leave.

Of course, a full hyperspace jump would take to long to calculate, but a micro-jump wouldn't. If he could just get to the edge of the system... Imperial fighters never had hyperdrive anyway, they'd never catch him. Diverting power from the now defunct shield generator, he put out his engines full bore.

Maarek had fought in many fighters in his time and his instinct told him his erstwhile foe was going to high-tail it out of there like a Twi'lek on Nal Hutta. "Only one chance at this..."

Taking aim, he fired his cannons at the rapidly fleeing X-Wing. Just as Quinlan's hyperdrive activated, laser cannon and twin ion cannons smashed into his fighter. The nav computer was scrambled almost instantly and the sublight engines of the fighter were all but carbonized. The fighter disappeared into hyperspace...

"He's dead for sure." Stele muttered into his helmet. "Alpha Squadron, resume normal flight pattern." "Onyx Squadron, this is the Vengeance... We're picking up multiple ships incoming..." At that moment, the Imperial fleet, lead by Paelleon himself, arrived in force, lead by none other than an Executor Class Star Destroyer.

"So much for a quick victory..." Stele muttered.

Quinlan reappeared right in the mass shadow of Thyferra, his smoking and disabled ship moving forward, moving ever closer to the atmosphere of Thyferra. Only a matter of time until it was captured by the gravity of the planet and pulled down. The readout indicated that the engines were barely intact, but with the ship disabled, would they be online in time to prevent him from smashing into the surface?

Though about the Mon Cal, if you opposed, why didn't you oppose it earlier. Then again its not exactly a Mon Cal Cruiser anymore, it was repaired by the Empire.

Cheapy: At the beginning of the fight, Divon sent out a call for reinforcements. Reason why they are here so soon will be explained. Just post your side of the battle.

Kyp: I know that, but the title post says that both the Empire and the Alliance have been demilitarised heavily. Your 'reinforcements' are equivalent to the entire starfleet showing up at a Rebel traitor's word. The numbers are unrealistic.

Kyp is right, Cheapy. Scale down the reinforcements to a more reasonable level.

Cheapy: If you had been reading my posts, you would know that a Mon Cal Cruiser had defected.

Kyp: Again, unrealistic. The Mon Cal hate the Empire. There is no way that one of their ships would defect.

Cheapy is referring to Admiral Jifor's ship, I think. If that's the case, then I see no problem with him using a Mon Cal cruiser, since no one took issue with this fact earlier. Still, Kyp has a point, although just because it's Mon Cal doesn't mean Mon Cal are crewing it.

Cheapy: Mongol Squadrons had greater loyalty to Divon Nivarra than to the New Republic

    Kyp: Okay, that's fair enough.

    Problem solved.

Cheapy: You are not killing the entire squadron, not to mention that you wouldn't be able to get close enough to them with anti-fighter gunships. You remeber the Correlian Gunships...

Kyp: Okay, to be honest I only took out all but the leader cause I was annoyed. And I took down the shield specifically to allow the gunships to attack the fighters. So shall we say that your protected NPCs and Divon survived the onslaught?

Kyp's request sounds reasonable; I say go for it.

Cheapy: And with that, I would like to call the remaining 3 pilots of Mongol Squadron(minus Divon), Protected NPC's, for roles they will have further on with Divon. I would also like to call the reminaing Rogues Protected NPC's, though I can't think of a reason, other than giving them equal status to Mongol Squadron.

Kyp: That is fair enough, but a suicide run against the bridge would nullify their status, you know that right? Because protected NPC just means that enemies do not go out of their way to shoot them. If they make suicidal attacks their status does not protect them.

Again, problem solved. Kyp's point is somewhat moot since Protected NPCs function like characters, except that they may be used by another player for any reason not resulting in that NPCs death. I am also going to start imposing restrictions on Protected NPCs, because I'm starting to see a lot of potential for abuse of the concept.

Get off your arse and post.

If that's not convincing enough, perhaps this post will be.

D'Crat swung his blade hard, feeling it jar as it smacked against his opponent's. The Jedi serenely parried the blow with a grace of form and precision that attested to years of refinement. This Jedi was a master of the blade, a skilled swordsman who knew his saber forms by rote and could mimic them on a whim. Indeed, for anyone else, the Jedi would have been a near-impossible challenge.

For D'Crat, he was an equal.

The Sith Lord, too, understood the nature of the saber, knew what it was like to feel the cool steel in his hand and guide the ethereal light blade toward its target. It was a gift; it was what had made him the master of his local dark side cult. Gang was probably more like it; but he had made do with that much, and look at him now: the Dark Lord of the Sith, the leader of a blossoming new order.

For a man like that, the Jedi Master was a quaint challenge at best. But that didn't mean he would go down easily.

D'Crat harbored no notions of an easy victory over his opponent. The Jedi, contrary to traditional Sith philosophy, were not weak, at least not physically. They could fight viciously if they felt threatened or if they thought they were under the impression that they represented some faceless good in the universe. No, if anything, the Jedi were worthy adversaries. But they're aversion of true power, power in the dark side, waas what barred them from true greatness. They pulled Force users down from their rightful places at the head of the galaxy. Even Skywalker abused his authority, which was why he had to fall.

The Sith thrust his red saber into a small gap left by the Jedi; the other dodged handily, but only just barely. That was all it took, though. If one missed the enemy, D'Crat believed, it didn't matter how close one had come - he had still missed. With that in his mind, he quickly brought his guard up to block a swing at his head. D'Crat smirked behind his mask. "Give up, Jedi," he hissed. Relying on trite word plays, D'Crat would lull his opponent into thinking him a normal dark side user. That would be the other's downfall.

"Never," the Jedi Master whispered back as he jumped away from a vicious strike at his midsection. "It's never too late to return to the light side; you can come back."

D'Crat laughed. "Always with the philosophy, Jedi. There is only one language the galaxy understands: power. The dark side can give me that in abundance."

The other sighed. "The only thing your dark side will give you is death," he replied. "I don't want to kill you. But I will if I have to."

"You won't get the chance," D'Crat shot back, adding a hard swing for emphasis. The Jedi parried the blow and thrust at the Sith's torso. D'Crat beat the opposing blade down and swung at the Jedi's neck, hoping to take advantage of the opening. The Jedi, however, was too quick and stopped the red saber honing in on his throat. The two struggled until the Jedi thrust out his hand. D'Crat's eyes widened as he realized too late what was happening. The Force push slammed into him like a hovertrain and threw him back. He was able to recover quickly, though, having seen it coming. Throwing his hand down to slow himself, he skidded to a halt a few meters away in a hail of debris.

Beneath the mask, Darth Cassius smiled. This was going to be a pleasant battle.

    --- ---

Admiral Pellaeon strode the bridge of the Scinfaxi, eyes narrowed against the enemy vessels. The massive vessel poured turbolaser fire into the opposing capital ships; but they seemed to be holding their own quite well. An Executor-class Star Dreadnought should have been enough to frighten any two-bit thug into submission. On the other hand, any thug who was attacking Thyferra was anything but two-bit. Whoever was behind this, they knew what they were doing. But his job, for now, did not concern that; all he needed to do was find out a way to throw them out. "Flank them; get between their ships and the planet to stop the bombardment. Are communications still down?"

    "Aye, sir!"

Pellaeon cursed. Without reliable information from the front, he had no way to know what kind of assistance was needed. He rumpled his brow; nothing for it. They would just have to make the best of things.

The bridge had become a beehive of activity; the Scinfaxi was escorted only by four Imperial II Star Destroyers, plus about ten smaller support craft including a Victory and several Dreadnaughts. It was supposed to be enough to subjugate a star system; it had barely made a dent in the enemy's efforts. Numerous opposing craft had gone down since the battle's start, but that didn't seem to have any effect on the enemy's will. He couldn't understand it. The entire Imperial strategy, even after the advent of Skywalker, revolved around intimidating the opponent into submission. Failing at that, tradition dictated that commanders proceed to smash resistance with superior firepower. In this case, Pellaeon had both; and yet, the best he had achieved was a stalemate. There was something about this enemy that made it especially resilient.

"Get a scan on those ships' identification designations - serial numbers, names, whatever. Run them through Naval Intelligence's archives. I have a suspicion that I need checked out..."

    "At once, Admiral."

Pellaeon resumed his sullen sentinel. What are you hiding?{/i]

    --- ---

    "Status report."

"Vagaari forces subjugated, Grand Admiral. Minimal losses in either personnel or equipment. Several starfighter squadrons have sustained severe losses, but beyond that we swept them."

Thrawn nodded. "Vagaari are not noted for their prowess," he said with a sneer. "Any prisoners?"

"A few escape pods were recovered. The Vagaari inside have surrendered without a fight. There is one exception, however..."

    His eyebrow raised. "Oh?"

"Well, sir...this one managed to put down an entire squad of troopers before we managed to put him down with a dart of sleeper serum. Even then, it was a struggle to restrain him. He's been put in maximum security."

    "Surely, a Vagaari couldn't-"

"Apologies, sir; he was no Vagaari."

Thrawn growled deep in his throat. "I would see this prisoner," he said.

The officer bit his lower lip, but complied with the order, summoning a pair of stormtroopers to the Grand Admiral's side. "Inform Ar'alani that recovery procedures of Outbound Flight continue, and I will be available shortly to discuss our immediate plans." With that, he turned and left the [i]Kinyara's bridge.

With his escort in tow, the Grand Admiral made his way through the corridors to the cell block. At the far end, there sat an ominous cage - the maximum security vault. There were no bars; only a sheer face of durasteel with a small viewport on the door. Thrawn approached cautiously, ignoring the groans of the Vagaari captives in the other cells. Thrawn brought his face to the viewport and stared in. On the floor, there lay a huddle mass of flesh - that was the best way to describe it. The form looked humanoid, but the skin itself was so mutilated beyond recognition that it was not identifiable as any sort of creature. Thrawn wrinkled his nose.

Little did he know that he was encountering now, for the first time, Yul Anraa, advance Yuuzhan Vong agent.

Okey, Protected NPCs are in need of a bit of regulation it seems. I will be compiling a list for the topic post based on "ownership" (meaning who requested the status). To deter people from becoming all, "ZOMG, PROTECT ALL MY TEH NPCS, LOL!!!!1!!" I am limiting the number of Protected NPCs to five per person. Which brings us, in a roundabout way, to character limits - I am not placing a limit on the number of characters anyone has, but if you fail to post with a character within a reasonable time period, I will remove that character from the list. Sound fair to everybody?

    Protected NPCs

YOU MAY use any Protected NPC in any way as long as it does not violate the tacit RP'ers code (no killing characters, no godmodding, etc).
YOU MAY NOT kill another person's Protected NPC unless given express permission.

    List of PNPCs

    [u]Melkor[u]

  • Lando Calrissian
  • Mazh Tiron
  • Pellaeon

Please, everybody, if you have PNPCs, list them in your post.

Also, am I missing anybody's characters from the topic post, and if so, would you point me to the post number where you posted their bio? Thanks.

    I HAVE RETURNED.

Warning: Due to my wooziness, several spelling errors may be found in my post. Just a heads up.

Guantlet-class Star Destroyer Dominion Fist, in orbit above Coruscant

Darth Trayton stood on the bridge of his new flagship, given to him by Admiral Fyyar upon his return to Coruscant. The battleship was truly impressive, competing with the Executor-class Star Dreadnaughts in offensive weaponry, despite being only one third of the warship's size.

A young Lieutenant walked up to him. "Lord Trayton, we are recieving a distress signal from Thyferra. It is under attack by unknown elements using Imperial ships."

Thyferra? Grand Admiral Pellaeon had departed in the Sinfaxi to Thyferra not long ago. Perhaps he was dfealing with the threat.

"How much longer is Admiral Fyyar going to take in showing the Emperor his designs?"

"Not long. They are on the last item."

"Good. As soon as he is back aboard, we leave for Thyferra."

    Imperial Palace, Coruscant

Galak Fyyar gestured to the sealed blast doors in front of him. "Here, at last, is one of my favorite brainchilds, Emperor. The Mark II Phantom-class Twin Ion Engine Starfighter. During the Galactic Civil War, an Imperial Grand Admiral by the name of Martio Batch created the initial design for the TIE Phantom." Galak pressed a button on his wrist comlink, and the blast doors heaved themselves open.

Inside were two claw-shaped fighters. They were slightly identical to TIE Defenders, except for the fact that they had three solar panels instead of six. The cockpit was larger than a standard TIE cockpit, and a laser cannon had been mounted to each wing, along with another pair slung under the cockpit.

Galak continued. "Each starfighter is fitted with a cloaking device, allowing it to be an extremely effective starfighter in combat. Instead of stygium crystals, the cloaking device contains a small tritium core. This core is superheated at slow rates to allow the light around the fighter to pass through it undirected, allowing it to disappear from vision and even most sensor screens."

"However, after every half-dozen uses or so, the core must be replaced, maiking the TIE Phantom a costly fighter."

    Maarek Stele
    Garrity Thano
    Jedi master Thano

    New characters.

    Name: Dagmar Morlev

    Name: Lila Numarkus

Also, Melkor, while we're on the subject, can you change in the title post the categorey to Jedi Knights, from "Kedi"?

No need to be so rude my friend, I'm right on it.

    PNPC's
    Master Zorrias Hershaw

    Thyferra

Gydon's eyes were bearly as the needele entered his arm. He felt the fluid sink into his bloodstream. Then suddenly his eyes shot open everything was clear now. He shook his head and looked around, a medical lab. Two Imperial medics were standing over him.

"Glad to see you've woken up, eh?" one said, screwdriver in hand, that screwdriver seemed awfully close to Gydon's face. He began to twitch away, but the second put a hand on his shoulder, gently but firmly holding Gydon in place. The first medic's tougne appeared between his teeth, his face screwed up in concentration, it reminded Gydon vaugely of a picture of a conspited nerf he had found incredibly amusing in his youth. In fact the similarity was uncanny.

Suddenly there was a clicking and whirring near Gydon's right eye. Near the screwdriver. Near a wierd sensation in his face. Memories began clicking into place, Gydon flew up into a sitting position, knocking the two medics over. He lifted his right hand and began probing his right eye, it felt cold, solid, metallic. "ARRRRRRRRG! My eye! What have you done?" Gydon screamed, but quickly his training took effect and the panic subsided, Gydon began panting.

"I told you he didn't need that much adrenaline" the first medic muttered. But Gydon wasn't listening, a low hum was eminating from his new eye. As the hum died away two red boxes appeared around the medics on the floor. there was writing around the side, Gender, Age, Health and Threat Level all were analyzed and displayed.

"Useful, but it'll get really annoying in a crowd" Gydon muttered. One of the medics seemed to think Gydon was talking to him. He glanced at his colleage, who shrugged.

"If you don't want it to display that, you only have to think, it's wired up to your neural signals" the medic said, tapping Gydon's eye "Also if you close your other eye you can zoom, although without the other eye there's a red haze. Anyway, you can also check your own vital signs, just think" the medic smiled "I'm sure you'll get used to it."

It was now that Master Hershaw chose to make his appearence. "Ah, Master Hemmorzin, the skin graft okay? Exellent, apart from that horrible grey eye of yours you came through with flying colours" he slapped Gydon on the back "you sly old dog. Your family has a history of lucky breaks." Master Hershaw was one of those people who had such a cheery manner it could drive you insane. However, when your back was against the wall there was no one better to be with, and he was a suberb tactitian, Gydon's first padawan.

"Worrying about me can wait" Gydon grunted "what's the situation?"

"Can't you just be glad to be alive, when they told me you were going up against a Sith I feared the worst, not that I doubted you. They fight dirty, you might've been shot or stabbed in the back by one of his friends" Hershaw quipped, Gydon glared at him. "All right" Hershaw said , his smile fading "This ship's called the Scinfaxi. It's Grand Admiral Pealleon's flagship, the Empire it seems are our patron state. The New Rebuplic adopted some twisted darksiders, calling themselves Jedi, could be a problem, but not aan immediate threat. Anyway, we should proceed to the bridge, the Empire probably needs all the help he can get."

"Well what are we waiting for?" Gydon said, a smile creeping onto his lips "The Empire needs our help, and the Generals can be only too willing to offer it. Battle awaits!"

    THE REAPER

"I was pondering the possibility of such a weapon," Jerjerrod said quietly. "Although given the problem you mentioned it might neccessitate the development of a new power source."

He leaned back in his chair contemplatively, his fingertips gently touching, his chin tucked into his chest like a very elderly, world-weary judge. Kaine stared at the wall opposite, leaving Jerjerrod unable to fathom precisely what his superior was thinking. After a few minutes he said slowly:

"Would it be possible for you to arrange a demonstration for me, sir?"

OK, I'm going to assume my argument regarding Nom's mission has won. Again, Kyp does reserve to nullify my posts if need be, and, of course, if Melkor takes issue for some reason with this, I cannot protest.

    BOTHAWUI-DREV'STARN-MERCHANT'S SQUARE

Within the office of a "cargo broker," Nom Anor waited for his contact to show. The Bothans' of course, were perhaps most famous for their spynet, which had helped the Rebels learn the location of the second Death Star at Endor. After the Alliance retreat deep into the Unknown Regions, however, the Bothans had quickly renounced their allegiances and returned to working for the highest bidder.

A brown-furred Bothan came up behind the counter. "Pedric Cuf?" he said aloud, waiting for someone to approach him.

"Yes," Nom said, stepping up to shake the Bothan's hand. "It's lovely weather you have here in Drev'starn," Nom said, "quite a refreshing experience after one has lived on Nar Shaddaa for so long."

"Ah, yes," the Bothan replied, "but if I do say so myself, I prefer the weather on the world of Naboo to that of my homeworld. Have you ever been?"

"No, I'm afraid not," said Nom, "it wouldn't do well for my career to travel to such a loyal planet of the Empire."

The Bothan nodded at last. "Come to the back," he whispered.

The Bothan lead Nom through a door that required a passcode to open to a small but comfortable room, closing the door again behind him.

"What can the Bothan Spynet offer you, Mr. Cuf?" the Bothan asked.

"My associates wish to find a certain...individual." Nom responded.

"Oh? And may I ask who that might be?"

    "Tyber Zann." Nom said.

"Ah, so I assume you have heard of the ransom he is holding the Republic general Rieekan for. Allow me to ask: your not Imperial Intelligence or ISB, are you?"

"No, my good sir, I am not. And neither am I an agent of the Republic."

"Very well. My organization can find Zann for you, but it will not be easy."

    "Name your price."

"12 million Imperial credits," the Bothan said.

"Very well, there is an account on Ralltiir. Ask no questions when you go to the location I specify, and tell them that a Mr. Atpeg sent you. They will give you your payment."

"Thank you, Mr. Cuf. You shall have the information you require within a few days. May I recommend any sites for you to visit during your stay here on Bothawui?"

"No, I plan to leave as soon as you have the information I require. Thank you."

Alright Kyp, the only Mongol I need to survive would be 2, so can we say all but 2 where elminated.

    And then obviously:

    PNPC's:
    Mongol 2
    Rogue Sqadron???

I did call the Rogues protected, but there was really no reason, and there would be under Kyp's jurastiction, and the 5 PNPC limit, though Kyp had 5 reamining, and I have 4, so...

Would you like to make the Shadow Council it's own faction, or make it a subsection of the Order (kinda like we have the Old Order and New Order Jedi now)? They've just been playing such a big role in the RPG, I think they deserve a place on the topic post.
