Readers should note that the Manual that you are providing is different from the HELP encyclopedia that is supposed to come up when you click on HELP in the original AOE1 game.
I have Windows 10 and that HELP site doesn't come up for me. Instead, I get a Microsoft page talking about Windows 10 not bringing up Help Websites:
