FAQ

Q: Why isn't my name on the calendar?
A: I don't know when your birthday is. Shout at me in a comment and then WHAM, it'll appear.

Q: Why is my name not on the right date?
A: I messed up. Sorry. Comment below and I'll fix it.

Q: Why is my name grey?
A: I didn't think you were still active in the forums, shout below and I'll switch your grey to black.

Q: Why do some people get special colors?
A: I get a special color because I run this joint. Mods get special colors (green, red and orange = mod) and so do very important persons (usually game developers; blue = VIP).

Q: But Lurkur and Vox are none of those things?
A: Silence foo'. Lurkur and Vox are VIPs here because they used to run this thread. Plus if you look closely, you'll notice that they are actually slightly off from VIP blue.

Q: But Aro is none of those things, either?
A: Hey, Aro is brown. Brown for mud; mud that he recently fell in. Have some sympathy, alright?

Q: Why is my name smaller than the rest?
A: I try to make the table fit page width. This means that some people will get smaller names to fit. You are no less important.

Q: Why is my question not covered?
A: I guess I must have not thought of it. Ask it below frequently and I'm sure it'll appear here.

Stroke I notice you didn't offer to bear the mantle - quit your criticising.

Good job Felix! If I bribe you sufficiently, can I get a colour too?!

If you can come up with an unused colour and a ridiculous highly sensible reason... erm... yes? So long as it looks natural.

Whew, it feels good typing British spellings. I forced myself into Americano mode for the original topic.

Indigo would be wonderful because nobody else is indigo and frankly it's the most underrated and underused of the seven colours of the rainbow. One could argue that violet is the most underrated but this is not true; violet is also a type of flower.

EDIT: Also,
31th
Similarly 21th, 22th, 23th

NT, indigo is a shade of blue, yet you have it up as a purple, and violet is a shade of purple, but you have it up as pink. I demand an explanation as to why the forum coding has this wrong. Next you're going to tell me that blue is green and orange is brown and dogs and cats are laying down peacefully together!

Also, my name is not capitalized

Yes, I was a little surprised to see how the bbcode interpreted those two! Nonetheless, indigo is a nice colour, regardless of whether it's true indigo or forum indigo

The Months should be on the Lines and the Days on the Columns. Apart from that, it's well done.

I disagree; splitting the screen into 32 columns leaves very little space in each box for names. Splitting it into 13 (12 months + the one that says "Day") gives wider boxes for names

Fine : #4B62AA

You can change it as you deem it necessary (make it grayer, for example - I'm not good at getting grayish values without turning it too bright )

I love you for using the American/correct spellings, among varied other reasons (purr). The last thing we need is an extra "E" in Birthday. Which is what British people clearly do. (Birthdaey.)

Can't say I'm loving the new format, though. The last one was more simplistic. Scroll down the list, see names and birthdays. This one, you have to follow names/dates across the screen and deal with it like it was a spreadsheet, which simply isn't needed for something as simple as a birthday thread.

Also, Morgoth has a birthday? Since when?!

It's not really that complex. It's basically a calendar. You just look at the month you are on and then birthdays appear down that month. Besides, if you can't read calendars, there's always the recent birthdays section that allows you to blindly fire off 'I love you' comments in the right general direction.

I hate the implication that I blindly fire off anything. What are you, my girlfriend? Huh?! Are you?!

(Seriously, are you?)

You blindly fire off many things Aro, like erm... cannons, M16s, your employees, erm... *sigh* I give up.
(Seriously, are you?)
I can neither confirm or deny (by that I mean I confirm... by denying... that I have confirmed... which means... damn it... I forget).

Either way, maybe yes, maybe know.
