Topic Subject: Windows 10 C++ runtime library issue

I just added Caesar IV to my Steam library. After installation when I run the game I get the launch screen. When I hit launch I get Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library pop up box stating "Runtime Error". Any thoughts?

Hi Zarkon

I recently installed the GOG version and I notice that I got a new installation of the C++ redistributable (the 2015 version). Try installing the C++ runtime again. I found it here.

I got my copy from Steam. I have gone in and downloaded and/or repaired all C++ version; 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2015 with no luck. Any other suggestions?

It might be a problem with the video. I don't think I know enough to make any suggestions about this. I'll move this thread to the technical forum and maybe PCDania can help.

Make sure you have .Net framework 2 installed and fully patched.

Is there anything in the Event Viewer about this error?
