Hey guys,
Awesome Editor tricks here: You can give almost any unit different projectiles to shoot with! I was able to give the Ninja unit the ability to shoot arrows.
Modify Attribute > Object Attribute = Max Range > Operation (set) > Quantity = 15 (gives the Ninja 15 range)
Modify Attribute > Object Attribute = Projectile Unit. > Operation (set) > Quantity = 54 (the projectile ID number for arrow) (Here is the list of projectile ID numbers)
...
This is awesome, so I tried to give the Ninja the projectile of Mamelukes (the throwing knife) or throwing axe... The game crashed with any one of these projectiles.
Does anyone know why the other projectiles crash the game?
(I'm running AOE2: Definitive Edition version 33059.)
Edit: AOE2: Definitive Edition version 34055 (or higher) fixes the crash issue.

I haven't tried the throwing sword projectile, but fireballs and fireship flames work no problem.
Where did you get the unit ID's for the Mamelukes projectile? Is it possible that you are using AGE for the CD or HD versions, and the projectile is a new ID in DE?

I meant to thank you last night but I was not logged in at home and I forgot my password.

If you can use Genie editor you can turn any units into a projectile by setting the desired units type to projectile(60) and its class to miscellaneous(11).

A little fun I discovered: Projectile 315-322 graphics is non-existent, so it can come in handy when you want invisible projectiles. Each also has different properties.
A little trick I used for my map includes: Summoning units out of thin air while attacking, etc...
