Happy Pharaoh 20th Annivesary

My name is Alexandros Marios. I come from Greece and this is my first Topic on the Forums.
I first played the game when it came out on a Demo CD back in year 1999.I have played all the missions many times, completed all the In-Game Campaign many times. Installed and deleted the game another duzend times from my pc's... But still.. this game is Just Awesome, if We just apply some little changes to it... Well don't worry I did it for you... and I present it to the community ! You will find the maps and modded files in Download Section !


In this Topic I will present you with my new Pharaoh & Cleopatra Mod that comes along with a whole NEW Custom Campaign Series , starting back in 4100 BC. At this moment I have 7 Campaign Remake Maps and a few Stand-Alone Missions & Mythical/Sandbox Maps that I will upload on a later moment. I will continue creating campaign remake maps until I reach the Conquering of Egypt by the Romans. Well we are still at 3800 BC ..so there are still many maps to create and still a lot of work to do in map editor.

In The Download Section you can find my new Campaign Remake Maps together with my Mod. I will entitle my maps accordingly that you understand what it is about.
Unlike the official Campaign which is focusing on making the missions more difficult by having reduced recources on each map , the challenge in my Campaign Maps is based on different facts, like very demanding event lines , frequent attacks by enemy forces ,highly realistic geographic map design and on Finances.

In this new Custom Campaign Series you will enjoy the beauty of this game again !
We have all played this games many years ago and we all know how much the In-Game missions lack beauty. Most maps are simple child drawings !
Well, I wished to change that and I started to create my own Pharaoh and Cleopatra Campaign following the Official Story Line and adding even more Historical Content by my own.. After many months of designing all 7 first maps, I am finally ready to upload the first maps.

This Mod is for Pharaoh & Cleopatra game only !!
Some fundamental changes of the Mod are:
> > > It is now a little bit easier to maintain desirability in your urban areas. No more placing 30 meter high Statues in Houses backyard! But it is still challenging.
> > > Your Soldier are now significant stronger, in order to be able to simulate bigger & bloodier Battles !!!
> > > I have changed the name of 2 existing cities .Some very important ancient cities are missing from the Official Game !! So, I wanted to change that ,too!
Rome to Khem (Ancient Letopolis, Capital of the 2nd Nome)
Actium to Shedet (Ancient Krokodilopolis, Old Name of Fayuum City)
> > > Another intresting change is that .
> > > Large Appartment now needs “ Linen” to evolve instead of Education (Papyrus)
> > > Medium Residence now needs “ Education” to evolve instead of Linen
> > > Grand Manor now needs “Three Food types” instead of “Two Jewelry types”
> > > Estate now needs “Two Jewelry types” instead of “Three Food types”
> > > Papyrus was only for the Higher social Classes, so I tried to make papyrus needed a bit later in game. I have Tested my maps only with this setup.Dont complain if you need Spacious Residence to finish the map but you don't have reeds to import !!! LoL

Note: I highly ADVISE to play the campaign ONLY together with my Mod . I cannot assure the smoothness of the game and event line of the missions if you play with default Game. The Campaign has been created only to fit with my Custom Mod !!!

* * * I have tried to add more cities to the Pharaoh_Text.eng file, but it is compiled and if I change the total length of the compiled file, the game will not start.
If somebody has special knowledge about making changes to the game beyond just modding Pharaoh_model and Figure_Model I would appreciate any messages.
In Fact, I managed to change the name of 2 cities, and I guess I will change a few more as I continue to create more missions to fill my Custom campaign. * * *
