Well... this tread is for you to post any funny or strange card that you think can be in AOE3.

this cards has very little posibilities of entering the game.. but its fun to think!!

i have some Crazy Cards that will go with AOE3 style and are very fun:

Boiled Oil: Forts, Outpost and Town Centers recive a powerful attak.this attak will have 6 range and have area effect.
(europeans can have this card, and it can be age 3 or 4, so enemy cant just go for your buildings with HI, he will need cannons)

Colony Support: shipment arrives faster OR you need less XP for shipments
(any civ can have this, it can be sent at any age, that will deppend on how much it reduces time for shipments to arrive or by how less XP you need for a shipment)

Patriotic Flags: Send some of that guy with flags. this can go with your amry and make nearby units attak increase. like a Warchief.
(any civ can have this, and it can be sent in age 3..)

Swiss Chocolate: Gives you chocolate crates..they are like food crates but come with 150 instead of 100 and 750 instead of 500, but it take th same time to gather 100 food from crates that to gather 150 chocolate!!
(germany and france can have this.. instead of sending 1000 food in age 3, they can send 1000[1500] chocolate!!!)


well.. thats all the cards that my crazy mind can think ..
now its your turn.. think of crazy and fun cards!!

NOTE: dont put card like "20% more HP to artillary"

Well.. this are Crazy Cards but try to make it some more balanced.. think as a Crazy Card that can enter into the game maybe with some balance...
dont put a card like

nah.. make it thinking it will eb fun to play with that card

I'd like to see a card implemented into Age IV but only sendable in Age 5, costs ohhh 10k? resources, 5 shipments but you get another Imperial upgrade on all of your troops and maybe even ship like 20 of each. Bring a whole new tactic to treaty games or games that have stalemated.

ROFL! I don't know if there are any cards I would "add" but I would like to see some cards with a lot of poetential (hot air balloons, surgeans) given a reason to be used in a game.

Actually I think it would be really neat if it were possible to send a card such as "peace treaty", where for example like in AoM, you could use a GP to halt all attacks for say 30 - 60 seconds. This could be paramount in deciding a game.

Team 10 Bandeirantes, who can help out assaulting natives and robb any surplus your opponent might have gathered :-)

Inventions: Different for each civ. Give it to all civs though, in Age 3. Examples:

German Inventions: Beer - Gives Doppelsoldners 4.8 speed.

Dutch Inventions: Bicycle - enables a bicycle, giving your explorer 10 speed total with a horn that demoralizes enemy units (-5 HP for 10 seconds for all enemy units within 10 LOS)

Portuguese Inventions: Pipe Organ - enables a new artillery piece, build able from foundry for 400 gold 200 wood. Stats = Attack stats = 4 organs but HP=200, Speed=2.5.

French Inventions: Champagne - Allows you to make your CdB drunk for a price, can be used 1* per TC (1000 gold cost). Effect: +100% CdB attack for 1 minute.

British Inventions: BraveHeart - Allows Scottish Madmen to be built from the barracks. A cross between an Iroquois Tommy, and an Advanced Scout. Better anti-infantry attack than longbows though short range of 6, with 5 speed.

Ottoman Inventions: Guerrillas - Allows training of suicide bombers. Similar to Petards, but used against infantry and artillery instead. Dies easily to melee and ranged cavalry. No seige attack.

Spanish Inventions: Bullfighting - Allows training of fighting bulls. No pop cost, 200 food cost, 500 HP, 30 melee attack with 3 area, 4 speed, when killed, 500 food can be collected from it. (Uber defensive unit!)

Russian Inventions: Siberian Threat - Stretlets are automatically produced from blockhouses (1 / 30 seconds / blockhouse)

Sioux Inventions: Warpaint - improves the Sioux attack dance by 50%

Iroquois Inventions: Mounties - Allows training of horseback ranged RCMP. Something similar to a black rider. Cost 200 food, 200 gold.

Aztec Inventions: Camouflage - War Huts and Nobles Huts can stealth.



Currently retired from AOE3... moved on to LOTRO... yeah an MMO... but a fun one!

I could have a lot of fun with this... lets see:

Aztec
Blood Sacrifice
Age III- Warrior Priests gain an XP aura identical to that of the base WarChief.
(Aztec priests didn't sit around dancing; they killed people for divine glory)

Great Temple of *fill in blank here* Support
Age III - 1000G cost - Gives 5 Warrior Priests and increases maximum # allowed to 15.

French
Knights Errant
Age III - Hussars gain +20% Attack, +1 Speed.
(Reckless knights for more rapid assaults / raids than Gendarmes could accomplish)

German
Panzer Division (yes, needs a different name)
Age IV - War Wagons are now 2 pop instead of 3.
(Eat that, Thoroughbred Gendarmes!)

*something* Reforms
Age III - All your Pikemen turn into Doppelsoldners.
(Nasty surprise, great value, fun way to break pop once near max)

Ottoman
Gunpowder Overcharge
Age IV - All artillery (except Abus / Gren) gets +2 Range, +20% Attack, -25% HP.
(overcharge gives power at cost of fragility; if anyone would, it would be Ottos)

Cavalry Armament
Age IV - All your Cav Archers become Dragoons at same tech level. Instead of Cav Archers, you now train Dragoons.
(never got why Ottos, the gun civ, didn't have gun horses)

Portuguese
Organ Technology
Age IV - Replace "Fortified Tower" with "Organ Tower" and auto-upgrade; functions as Organ Gun (though with damage / multipliers fixed). *Optional* Affects TCs as well.
(because Organ Guns are kewl)

Spanish
Supreme Inquisition
Age I - All units +6 LoS. All units can see Stealth.
(designed as a card to come after Team Inquisiton on the chart, higher HC level)

All Europeans
Marines
Age II - Any unit with ranged attack within a ship can fire normally.
(stinkin' AZT / IRO navies)

Grapeshot
Age III - Falconets and Horse Artillery gain +2 Area of Effect; multiplier vs buildings becomes .5x instead of 2x.
(this was still done with cannon just as it used to be done with catapults)

All Natives
Religious Dedication
Age 1 - Allows construction of a second Fire Pit.
(because if you really want 50 dancers, you should have them )

All halbs instantly change to 2.5 times (rounded up) as much pikes


After revolting:

I pressed revolution so i should win! - card you can send sending a special taunt saying that sentence :P


All civs with acces to revolution:

A line in the millitary academy with colonial militia shipments


After revolting:

A shipment which instantly upgrades all CM to guard, and another one for imp. - might make rev a little more worthwile

Which is why it is funny! Still... If you were seriously trying to come up with cards you would like to see in the game...only the russian and sioux one would work. The rest are all modern day stereotypes...

IMO, I love TheRomans ideas except the Dutch and Russia ones feel a little underpowered in comparison to the others. Increased shipment would be dandy buuttt :\ Also Dutch have a 20% card in fort so make it 25-30 and it would be worthwhile

Great ideas!

Although 2 warhuts would be ridiculasly overpowered! Imagine fire dance with 50 villagers, your Axe Riders could drop a house in like 3 throws, add in 20 others with the warchief and good bye base.

/ponders the possibilities of a dog soldier army w/ super charged fire dance...
