Ok, nobody yell at me if this has already been discovered.

I went into the "Message" tab in the editor and placed a '-'.

Then I went to "Triggers" and created a trigger with an effect of player 1 tributing player 2. I copied and pasted the '-' from the "Message" tab, added '100', and tested the game.

Player 1 had 1000 food, player 2 had 1000 food also. When the trigger was set off, player 1 gained 100 food in its stockpile, thus being 1100 food! And without notification!

Sorry if this has already been discovered. It's new to me.

EDIT: LOL!!! You can tribute negative amounts of resources by having a player tribute a resource with a '-' in front. (i.e. -100 gold sent to you).

It has been discovered about a month ago

. (You can also tribute to any player with the negative sign and it will give you instant resource -- including gaia)

Well whooptie-doo, I just figured it out! And someone has already said that this had been discovered so there's no point in furthering that statement. Thanks for repeating Fox's entry, but I'm proud to be the founder of this trick for myself.
