Well..I was going to implement this trigger trick in Cincinnatus II..but as that's gone to the garbage chute, i might as well let it known.
Everyone knows about damaging a [certain type of] bridge so that walkable water can be acquired. But, have you tried setting the bridges on fire?
Damage them..oh, i don't know..about 500 and they start to burn in the middle. The player can NOT be gaia..he should be in gray color. Put some path over them, map copy them..
You have yourself hot springs! I've also tried putting mountains over the bridges, it works very nicely..the mountain actually burns..well, it doesn't..but it looks like it's burning.
I'm not going to release pictures, unless you insist..

BTW, I tried with 500, you get a small flame. If you damage it 1000 HP, it gets destroyed. If you try with 999, 998, etc., the bridges don't get on fire. But, if you damage 950 HP or something, the flames are large.

Well, I read and knew about setting fire to bridges b4, but I never actually tried to use in anything like that. (Just plain burning bridges). Good Discovery!
Now, lets see 'em screenies.

gah, i still get no credit for discovering that you can build monuments, yurts, statues, and just about everything else thats a building (including bridges)
It's so simple, all you do is place a foundation :/

Hey, Shiva - have you tried removing the bridges after damaging them? Does this cause the water to appear, or fire on water?
Just curious (and too lazy to try it myself! )
That's something you could use, though - putting the fire out with water. It would look a little awkward - but I think it would work fine.
how is this for a quote

actually not ALL removed bridges have water under em... what about the "ends" of the bridge? I think they make desert instead of water...
Yes they do, and you can use this in a variety of ways.
for instance, you can create bridge ends around a lake to signify a drought where the lake is draining. if you don't like the "desert" that is created under them, create some buildings and remove them, or some trees, or whatever, and change the terrain. It could get really complicated...
First of all, you cover the bridges with paths and flowers, then you damage them, they don't create water unless they are removed, which you don't do because you have to damage them to get them to catch on fire.
