There once was a a great land called Corenthia
Where two cities lay
In this land called Corenthia
A great battle rages

Astepealiea to the south
Favored honor and peace
While Khalimdoria to the west
Favored greed and war

But in this great land called Corenthia
Two kingdoms such as this cannot co-exist
As ying and yang; black and white
Cannot mix into gray

So thus,
The Great War of Corenthia commenced
And the color of scarlet
Spreads across the land

And the once ever so peacefull green disappeared

Looking very well on the plot side of things, and the map is a clever piece of work.

But just to let you know, Thunder gave me a sneak peek at the intro, and it's going well

This sounds good, and the pic looks nice too . Looking forward to seeing it.

By the way, Astepealiea sounds much like Luke Gavaerts, Astypalea, which I found was a Greek island. Just pointing it out .

The story sounds quite unoriginal, but I am sure that in your hands, this will be a great project.

"Especially awe-inspiring is the fact that any single brain is made up of atoms that were forged in the hearts of countless stars billions of years ago... These atoms now form a conglomerate – your brain – that can not only ponder the very stars that gave it birth but can also think about its own ability to think and wonder about its own ability to wonder. With the arrival of humans…the universe has suddenly become conscious of itself. This, truly, is the greatest mystery of all." - Rama

I don't usually check out AoK projects anymore, but this looks very promising.

Good luck Thunder

Hahaha you're right. However...
Astepaliea (ast-uh-pay-lee-uh)
Astypalea (ast-ee-puh-lay-uh)
They're different words.
Also: GJ butchering the name. ;D

Corinth is a city in Greece.

I have a feeling that the farmlands will be a very bloody place...as the one who holds the choke point, has the advantage but both can target onagers and trbuchets onto the chokoe point....so the farmlands will be very bloody.....you should try to make them indestructable so that you get the farm-fighting feeling....that would be really cool

Nice project so far...can't wait till it's finished!

Thanks for the positive feedback, everyone! As you can see, the introduction is coming soon. It'll have some nice music and a little bit of playability. It's about 75% done.

It's odd that it is due for release winter next year. Unless you're really busy with other things that it would take you this long to complete this project?

Cornith as in the Greek Ciity, Corinth?

Everyone:

Quoted from the topic post:

*This campaign is in no way related to anything nonfictional, whatsoever.*

That means that this has nothing to do with any real city, any real thing, any real person, or any real location.

Mashek:
I'm not sure. I set a really distant release date because I really want to take a lot of time on this campaign. Besides, if needed, I can always bump it up or bump it back. Heck, Ulio took a year to make. I just want this to be as good as it can be. Let's not forget about playtesting by me and others. Release date = the day it hits the blacksmith.

Maybe I shouldn't have brought up that whole name similarity thing.

I agree with the time limit. I doesn't put any pressure on you, and you can practically takes as long as you like.

Well, it is all looking good Thud...I would like to playtest, especially for a fellow teamate, but I do not have the time right now.

Good luck, though.

Thanks. It's finished, I'm just waiting for Cat to get me a DGDN host, which isn't as slow as damn freewebs.

So, Scn1 has been updated. How about that review, Mashek?

Will do, but first could you please send the cpx. file of your cutscene via email without the sounds. I prefer not to download the 7mb cutscene all over since I have dialup . Thanks.

Hey Thunder, your bitmap is all screwey. You will need to fix this up. It is way out of proportion and the colours are indistinguishable.

EDIT: I have reviewed your cutscene. Great job, you just need to address a few things. The review is a little rough as I done it in about an 1hr and a half. Enjoy reading it .

Yes, I put the status in Ollie's thread to "on hold".

Mashek:
Thanks a lot for that review, and I 99.9% agree with it. I was just messing around with that image that I put up, and I thought it was taken down, though. I'll be sure to fix that.
