Lord of The Rings Mafia: Game Thread

The Mafia are victorious!


Rules
  • Follow the CoC at all times.
  • Do not quote your role email or other messages from me.
  • Don't speak to people outside of this thread about the mafia unless your role allows you to.
  • Be active. If you're not, you will be replaced.
  • Don't edit posts.

    It was an eventful night in Middle-Earth. The Fellowship thought it was a good idea to make its way through Moria. However, it proved a bad idea. Peregrin Took awoke the Balrog, and it was so furious that it started chasing the fellowship. Aragorn was trying to save the hobbits, but he was strangled by the great whip of the Balrog.

    Elsewhere, the Uruk-hai had made their way into Galadriel's realm. At first she could hold them off easily, but they just kept coming, and soon it was too much for her.

    Saruman was helping the Uruks on their raid, but Gandalf noticed this. He tried to stop it by magic. When the two spells collided, a bolt shot up in the sky, and came down to grill the unfortunate Boromir.

    While in the mines of Moria, there was an interesting find. Gollum was also running away from the Balrog, but he was too slow. He got killed, but the Ring survived, which someone noticed. That person picked it up.

    Aragorn, (WRP_Beater) a masonic vigilante, has been killed.
    Boromir, (Jakwarrior) a cop, has been killed.
    Galadriel, (ninjapenguin981) a miller role cop, has been killed.
    Gollum, (Alex_of_Macedon) an Iron Jack-of-All-Trades Survivor, has been killed.
    The town has the ring.
    It is now Day One.
    Since there are eight of you, it takes five to lynch.

    So this text leaves us with two roles that we now know of. Peregrin Took and Balrog. I suppose Took has some kind of investigative role and messed up? And the Balrog seems like 3rd party to me, but I have no idea what kind of role description this person would have.

    It's been a while since I've seen the series, so I can't be of too much help character wise.

    But as Olympus said we do indeed have a confirmed townie, whoever the mason is. Also, whoever has the ring should definitely not come out, I'm pretty sure we will be in deep shit if the mafia get their hands on that.

    Holy crap, three townies dead in one night; two cops.

    If we go by a normal ratio we're at 5:3 now, this of course assuming a serial killer isn't about.

    I agree that the whoever has the ring should definitely remain silent about it - like Briguy said, we can't afford to let the Mafia get it, especially after this unlucky start.

    If there isn't a SK and there gets to be Four kills I'd be surprised. It's basically Lynch or lose now...

    As for the four kills, seems to be likely this occured:

    Aragorn decided to blindfire someone and hit a townie - prime example of why vigilantes should never just shoot someone Night 0.

    Gollum will likely have shot someone too; he's a survivor after all, one less player to deal with.

    Mafia will have killed as well, so that makes 3.

    How Gollum died is interesting though, what with him being iron and all.

    I am Gandalf. A masonic role blocker my partner was WRP_beater who is now dead. Last night on a hunch I decided to cast my spell on blatent 7. We now see that those to spells collided meaning that blatent 7 is Saruman. Is quickness to target me also shows that he could be a mafia.

    We know that one of the kills resulted from my spell hitting sarumans(Blatant7). One could have happened from my vigilant partner but I haven't found out if he used his power. One was mafia and one was 3rd party golum. So now we know that at the most there is one mafia killer.
