Pretty nice screenshots.

However, you could have done some more work on the background. Just plain grass is boring.

I like all of them! These are my favorites:

This one's good too:

(BTW, your photo links are broken )

[/end me being a jackass]

I like the first one of the bridge the best. I didn't really like the numbered flags, but maybe that's just me.

how did you fix it?

anyway, that bridge is very crappy made, I used flowers to hide the black rock and the two sides aren the same, I was just trying to make a bridge in different ways

posted 08 August 2006 07:02 PM EDT (US)     7 / 33
Haha now I notice the flowers thing!

It's fine though, because you had to say something before I noticed it.

Was this only phase 1? You could improve on it in some areas.

Example: The bridge. It's a nice flat bridge, for you to cover some more black rock, use grass. It's loated in nature(duh). I always like the what I call "old rock" effect. Then of course put some grass in an area near the bridge to make it look real.

While you're at it, work on those textures. Mixing textures could possibly be the most powerful tool in eye candy.

switch to another picture hosting site, like photobucket. It's better.

I love the dwarven cave shots! The toy soldiers one is gold! I'd leave out the left half of the shot. AoM models are bad enough as it is :P

Good work though! This is exactly what we're looking for at Purple Design Studios. If you're ever in need of a design team, you're welcome to join PDS.

I'm no expert with triggers either, but if you ever decide that you're confident, we'll be around.

You need to variate evelation some more, and add some rocks and sprites.

Else, it's pretty great map design.
