The Rise of Zion

Hi guys
You probably know me as the forum cherub. But, I am also a founder and former leader of a great design team, Lucky-Zion Studios. Lucky-Zion Studios, or LZS, was formed in September of '05. We have been designing for the popular RTS games, Age of Mythology and Age of Empires 3.

Recently, we have chosen to also cover BHG's Rise of Nations and Rise of Legends. We will be designing and modding for both games. In fact, we already have some scenarios and mods out for Rise of Nations.

We would love you to join our design team. The best part about it is, anyone can join! Just show that you want to learn and we can help teach your the secrets of designing.

Lucky-Zion Studios is currently led by DWIEEB and CaveTown. Our main site, http://www.luckyzion.gamingextremes.us, is for AOM and AOE3. But, RoL and RoN have their own branch and site of LZS called The Rise of Zion. The website is under construction (http://rizeofzion.awardspace.com/index.html) But, we have a temporary website, http://www.riseofzion.usa.gs

What else do we have to offer?
LZS has a lot to offer besides designing for AOM, AOE3, RON, and RoL. Check out what else we offer:

Clan LZS(AOE3), Clan Opik (AOM), Clan LZS (RoL) :
Our design team also has clans for AOM and AOE3 that our members are invited to join. The clans play online to have a good time and practice strategy techniques or to test their own creations of multiplayer maps. Soon, we will open up a clan for Rise of Legends. The clan will be headed by Unome. So, look for us online
Even though I'm a member of the RoLH Clan and not Clan LZS.

Site/Forum Design:
If you become a member of LZS, you have the opportunity to request your own totally customizable and free website or forum to showcase your projects or anything. Our site designers team up with our graphic artists to create the perfect site. If you want a forum design, we would ask that you settle with an InvisionFree forum since they are easy and free.

Graphic Design:
Members can also request free still or animated graphics to use as project banners or to use in their sigs.

Music/Audio Visual:
One more thing members can request. Members can request free composed music to place in their scenarios or they can make a request for someone to make a trailer out of their scenario.

Lucky-Zion Theatre:
We have our very own RTS and animated clips theatre. Anyone can get their own RTS cinematic uploaded to the theatre by emailing Glitch. All of our animated clips are being used with permission from their creators. We currently have RTS cinematic clips for Age of Mythology and Age of Empires 3.

Well, you probably remember the old Zion Studios. I don't know how the name got picked. But, Jono2004 picked the name and now he seems to have disappeared

So, in September, when Lucky Studios merged with Zion Studios, we combined the names.

And, Unome just thought Rise of Zion was suitable for Rise of Legends.

I know this might sound like encroaching, but don't you guys want to change your name? Lucky-Zion was good for the merge, but now that you're one team, why don't you both agree on a name that'll define your team for good? Something catchy!

(Also, Zion stands for Palestine-in a way- doesn't it? Doesn't that make your team sound sort of...pro-Israeli? Does a team have to have a political statement)?

lol... first thing that pops into my head when i see "zion" would be the matrix, though i know what you mean (zionists etc) and i would guess they were using the term "zion" as a haven or something rather than for a political point of view

aside from that however, i've always enjoyed making custom scenarios (what am i saying... it's about 30-40% of the reason i buy a game!) and have just been strolling through the forums on the sites and the theater (hehe, nice congradulations thread you got going there pepsi ) and i was thinking of asking to join, but i have a couple questions first:

is it a "sure whatever, take a few years off work blah blah" sorta community or more of a "put yer backs into it you 'orrible little men!"?

does it require regular forum activity? since i'm already kinda swamped by RoLH, TGE and RoLO forum visiting (and of course playing a bit)

if i do join, it'll be after a while, once i've finished the campaign and messed around with the editor a bit

We do not order our members to do anything they don't want to do. If they want to take breaks, that is fine with us. If you get bored of designing, you can just hang out.

We ask that you register in the forums, and check the Announcements forum and Member's forum weekly. But, not much activity is required. But, if you are leaving for a while, be sure to tell us because we have some members who just disappear.

And yes, Zion does have to do with religion. But, I don't know if that's going to change in the near future.

Unome here. I personally love this game. I'm a 1704 online right now and I'm ready to launch the clan any day. I would of preffered the name to be Clan ROZ so we don't mix names with our ES game counter parts.

I love the new site.

Just so you know I'm one of the admins of lucky zion studios, and rise of zion and this game rox!!!! RoL's online play is very fun and I can't wait till I have the oppurtunity to clik the new clan button and type in

Hey Pepsi, our Forums are down soe here's the stuff you wanted, I ran into a problem and I decided just to go with the easy solution. You said you wanted these posted up somewhere So I decided just to have the background the same color as the post 1 and post 2 colors here but if you could please give me the hex # for the specific colors.

as you can see this one's BG is being hard.

EDIT: I think the problem is I need to render it, but I don't know how. Maybe this one will work..

EDIT: ok now I know what I did, I'll post the final product at LZS, the server is back up.
