Don't know if this has been done before, but...

I found out, using the 1000 stones trick, that placing stones on the edges of drawbridges and then deleting the drawbridge leaves you with... tiling of some sort.

It also works on Crusader as well. Unfortuantely, as with all 1000 stones tricks, units cannot move on them, but you can do this:

Ideas?

I say delete the the stones after you've made your eyecandy and your good to go. There is also a downloadable file with the stones pre-placed if you havn't already got it. I havn't really done anything with 1000 stones trick so not sure.

That looks amazing! do they join up well? it would have been great to implement that in a few of our past maps, especially the mayan one we had started.

thanks for sharing

Well, the thing is, they dont always fit together because of the unusable corner tile on drawbridges, so one mistake can pretty much ruin a lot.

Should I write something about this?

Interesting.

Can you post a picture of how to do it in Crusader?

Why doesn't Firefly release a patch for all previous Stronghold games that allows us to place lowered walls, and not have to place rocks over them? lol

These look like nice tiles. Never seen them before. Good job

The procedure is same for both Stronghold and Crusader.

Tested this in Crusader. Looks like it has limitless potential. Excellent!

Sadly, no. I only tried in Crusader. Perhaps palat can answer that question for SH1.

Unfortunately, it units can't walk over them too in Stronghold. But they do look great as eyecandy.
