I don't know if you guys start with random votes like you used to, but if you still do I suggest we start with someone other than Coldviper (Vox Nihili now?); that poor bastard got enough.

Anyway yeah, RVS is still usual here as far as I've seen. I see no other way to start a day 1. Vote: Popeychops

That should be enough.

Hmm, a day start. That's an interesting concept. I've only seen it once before and it ended up with a no lynch because town just didn't have anything to talk about and couldn't agree on a target. In theory it shouldn't be much different to starting a game normally though.

The advantage of a day start is that everyone has a chance to post, but it's not really different from a night start. Night starts just give some extra info. In night starts, the town knows from the start how many scum killers there are (except that dumb vigs may blindfire). Also, if a kill fails on someone, that player most definitely isn't in the scum faction that submitted the kill, so there's a higher chance he's town. Not really loads of info. Also, in day starts, investigators can base themselves on behaviour, while in night starts they blindfire, thus there's a smaller chance of hitting scum.

Anyway, waiting on Popey.

That said, there's no obvious reason why Popey should tell us a damn thing really. We don't have any justification for pressuring him so he could just as easily tell us to stick it and we'd have no grounds to lynch him.

That's false. Day start = random votes. Random votes = a general consensus is formed around a player. General consensus = claim, or at least name claim. Refusing to claim = scummy. Scummy = enough grounds to lynch, or at least investigate.
We're statistically more likely to lynch Town today. Just saying.
We're statistically more likely to lynch town over scum until the scum overnumber the town. The same reasoning applies if what you meant was to compare the odds we have of lynching scum today and those of tomorrow.

I was responding to Sarn, who said we shouldn't be looking to get any claims. I don't mind going with some random votes on day one, it would at least give us something to talk about and potentially give us some grounds for action. Generally speaking I think random voting is a bit of a waste of time, but in this situation we have literally nothing else to go on so it's either that or a no lynch.

It's probably pointless to speculate too much, but I guess it can't hurt. for example, the fact that the game seems to be a straightforward battle between plants on the one side and zombies on the other would imply that we're less likely to have multiple scum factions, but then we do have 20 players so that assumption is probably flawed.

It's a tower defense. The amount of sun is the money you have. There are 5 horizontal lines to place your plants. Each plant, but some exceptions, attack horizontally. Some plants produce sun (sunflowers and sun-shrooms, for instance). Some plants are ranged and attack horizontally (peashooters and their variants are the best example), some plants attack horizontally but are melee (the carnavoras, can't remember their name), some explode, thus their damage is extended to other lines (cherrys), some instead are just a protection (wall-nuts). There are various kinds of zombies. Normal zombies are the most common. There are zombies with helmets that are more resistant. There are zombies who use a door as a protection. There are zombies who can jump over plants, etc.
