It was late. Rain lashed at the windows of the Library, while the small fire burnt dimly in the fireplace.
The Reader was tired. A Long day. But he was here, reading his beloved collection of Shakespeare- nothing better to relax with.
Flash of Lightening- Crack of thunder. The Reader looked up, around, and went
back to the world of Heroes and Villains. Peace.
A shadow. The Reader looked up again, irritated that someone was
in his Library. No one was supposed to be there.
But a man The Reader had never seen before stood in front of him. A sword, old-style clothes.
The Reader backed away. The stranger smiled. The Reader bolted. More figures came out of the shadows as
he ran towards the door.

The rain lashed against the window. But it was not the same rain that The Reader knew*.

Let's start at the very beginning
A very good place to start
When you read you begin with A-B-C
When you sing you begin with do-re-mi

    Do-re-mi, do-re-mi
The first three notes just happen to be
    Do-re-mi, do-re-mi

    [Maria:]
    Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti
    [spoken]
Let's see if I can make it easy

Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long, long way to run
    Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow Sew
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Do (oh-oh-oh)

    [Maria and Children:]
    [Repeat above verse twice]

    [Maria:]
    Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do
    So-do!

    [Maria: (spoken)]
Now children, do-re-mi-fa-so and so on
are only the tools we use to build a song.
Once you have these notes in your heads,
you can sing a million different tunes by mixing them up.
    Like this.

So Do La Fa Mi Do Re
    [spoken]
    Can you do that?
    [Children:]
So Do La Fa Mi Do Re
    [Maria:]
So Do La Ti Do Re Do
    [Children:]
So Do La Ti Do Re Do
    [Maria:]
    [spoken]
    Now, put it all together.

    [Maria and Children:]
So Do La Fa Mi Do Re, So Do La Ti Do Re Do
    [Maria:]
    [spoken]
    Good!
    [Brigitta:]
    [spoken]
    But it doesn't mean anything.
    [Maria:]
    [spoken]
So we put in words. One word for every note. Like this.

When you know the notes to sing
    You can sing most anything
    [spoken]
    Together!

    [Maria and Children:]
When you know the notes to sing
    You can sing most anything

Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long, long way to run
    Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow Sew
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Do

Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do
Do Ti La So Fa Mi Re

    [Children:]
    Do Mi Mi
    Mi So So
    Re Fa Fa
    La Ti Ti
[Repeat above verse 4x as Maria sings]

    [Maria:]
When you know the notes to sing
    You can sing most anything

    [Maria and Children:]
Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long, long way to run
    Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow Sew
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to

    [Maria:]
    [Children:]

    Do . . . So Do
    Re . . . La Fa
    Mi . . . Mi Do
    Fa . . . Re
    So . . . So Do
    La . . . La Fa
Ti . . . La So Fa Mi Re
Ti Do - oh - oh Ti Do -- So Do

To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
    And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
    Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
    To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
    That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscover'd country from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
    Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action. - Soft you now!
The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons
    Be all my sins remember'd.

Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes,
    A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;
    Whose misadventured piteous overthrows,
Doth with their death bury their parents' strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love,
And the continuance of their parents' rage,
Which, but their children's end, nought could remove,
    Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage;

    overthrows

Cryptic, but I believe I have placed them in the proper order:

Mutiny overthrows these lovers, in unclean scene.

Who are the lovers? Who is guilty of mutiny and why do they interrupt the unclean scene? Rather suspicious.

Dawn touched the windows of the house. The Reader woke in a corner of the house, hoping it was a dream, or that he had returned to the world he knew. Summoning his courage, he crept downstairs. The house was silent.
The Reader headed for the Library. It was where it happened last night- only there would he know- if he could trust his eyes. Only, before he got to there, he found the body of a young man, bloody from the trench wounds to his head.
    The Reader shouted for help.

The figures from the night before appeared from all directions- some looking shaken, some looking grim, others shocked. They eyed each other warily, before convening on the body. Someone searched the poor corpse- on it was a letter from a friar of Verona, and a note written in a woman’s handwriting, both addressed to ‘Romeo’. It was a character from one of the plays The Reader was reading last night. Dear Romeo had somehow jumped from page to life.
None present knew of any of the others, only who they themselves were. With devastating clarity, The Reader knew what was required. He took the others to the Library, and explained to them that he did not know what had happened to cause everyone to be here, only that they must be in a story. Not just any story, but that in the style of Shakespeare. And to resolve it, like any Shakespeare, there must be an ending.

It was just being decided each day they would convene to the Library every day from then on, when one man saw something. He bent down and examined the fireplace. Embers still burned brightly, and there were charred paper remains still legible. The man carefully picked the largest piece up, holding it to the light. It seemed to be a part from the play
‘A Midsummer’s Night Dream’- the part of Puck. The others, upon being shown this, recollected they were two less their number from last night’s shadows. That meant that the character Puck had been among those that had appeared in the house during that stormy night. It also meant that he had vanished.

    Puck (Blatant) has vanished.
    Romeo (Julius) has been slain.

It is now Day 1- 6 to lynch.

Blatant played the role of Puck, a mischievous fairy in 'A Midsummer's Night Dream', one of Shakespeare's comedies. He was able to cast spells to protect another person, but due to his nature he couldn't resist once fiddling with what others did to cause chaos.

Julius played the role of Romeo, the great lover from
'Romeo and Juliet', one of Shakespeare's tragedies. Should he receive news his true love had died, he would be gradually consumed with grief, and commit suicide at the end of the day to join them rather than face life without them.

I don't see why you want to kill Romeo's lover. Doesn't strike me as a very harmful role, unless she (or he) is now after vengeance and some sort of vigilante.

    Poor reasoning.

When Juliet dies, it will be an extra death on top of lynches and scum night kills.

If the scum know which player is Juliet, they will avoid attacking her as they will expect her to commit suicide, so we have an extra death.

If she keeps quiet, scum may still randomly target her and kill her... and if she's going to die anyway, it is preferable scum accidentally target her than anybody else.

So unless we accidentally push the Juliet player for a RC, Juliet revealing herself can only help the scum.

This is of course dependent on how long it takes for her to be consumed by grief, and it assumes her role is identical to Romeo's.

The fact that he has vanished as opposed to being killed like Julius makes me think of perhaps a 3rd party, though it is probably unlikely in such a small Mafia, though perhaps it could be a doctor like protective role, removing Blatant from play for a night or so to prevent night kills?

In regards to Romeo I agree that it is likely that his lover will indeed commit suicide soon and thus it is probably not in her interests to come forward as this will give the Mafia a pointless target if they randomly pick her.

However if he/she actually has any important information it may well be worth coming forward anyway despite the risk (though I can't really see what this information would be)

I suppose all I can do for the time being is random vote myself, so therefore: Random Vote: Crazed Ewok

Ah, I've just noticed Blatant's name is crossed off the list of alive players, so I'm assuming that pretty much confirms him as dead..

I think there is probably an SK that causes people to vanish, though with my very limited knowledge on Shakespeare, no character comes to mind.

Life's a bitch because if it was a slut, it'd be too easy.

But he was killed by burning his book, which seems like a wierd way to kill someone if the normal way was the be stabbed, or however puck died.

Mayhaps the 3rd party is somehow connected to fire?

Alright, so the third party burns our parts. Does that mean the third party is not a character like the rest of us?

Maybe the third party character is Shakespeare himself?

What? Care to share these "reasons"?

That's a pretty good guess, since only he would be able to make people vanish in the literal sense.

If he was Shakespeare I would expect him to be Iron, or unlynchable. I would think that he would be untouchable by his work, and that it would be represented in the game somehow.

Heir, your going to have to do better than that.

I agree, if heir has made himself a target with 'I have my reasons' he might as well spit them out because otherwise he's making himself an obvious scum target.

As for the Juliet role, whoever holds it might as well say who they are, as they are dead at the end of day anyway. Might as well get all the information out there.

Yeah, well, I was trying to turn up the heat on Ornlu without making myself a scum target, cause one of our doctors is already dead.

    Anyways, here's the real deal.

I'm basically a cop. I investigated Ornlu during the night and got villain on him, so unless I'm random or insane, which I doubt I am, Ornlu is scum.

Would you people want my character name too?
