The Last Meal Mafia
“Here they come, in luxurious wagons and designer cars, upon imperially bred horses and elephants, here they come” he spoke with a thundering voice, as if possessed, his face fragile and pale in the moonlit night, “the filthy scum of Satan, who dare to tread upon the Kingdom of God. Fear’t not, my Lord, for I, Thy prophet, shall purge Thy land of these evils. Their flesh shall be Thine to devour and their blood shall be Thine to drink. And let their bones adorn Thee as jewels upon Thy holy neck.”

Note: As this is a generic theme, anything is possible in this game, so please, do not restrict yourself to Flavor Names or Role Names, and study behaviors more carefully. Lynching on a basis of roles and flavor names can possibly lead to self-destruction.

Status: Day 3

Rules:
1. Follow forum guidelines and the HG Code of Conduct.
2. Mod is god. I am god, Brighty is god and by signing up, you’ve agreed to view us as such.
3. Do not edit your posts – double post if necessary. If you do so, I will request that your edit history be looked at and depending on the edits, you may get modkilled. Any moderators playing this game should not read my or Brighty’s edit history.
4. When you’re dead, you’re dead, shut up, and please, don’t leak information anywhere at all.
5. This game is closed communication - talk within this thread only, unless your role specifically states otherwise.
6. During the day, players can vote to lynch. To cast your vote type Vote: Name. Be sure to bold it!
7. If you change your vote, type Unvote: Name before your new vote. Otherwise, I'll ignore your new vote.
8. Day will only last 7 days, so make use of your time. Depending on the situation, more time might be given or taken away!
9. No talking/strategizing during the night, unless your role specifically states otherwise.
10. Night will last indefinitely until all actions are in. If you fail to send in your actions after 48 hours, replacement search will begin. Some night actions might be skipped.

“Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to my dinner party,” said the Host, sitting at the far end of the grand table, “I’ve invited you, from all the corners of the world, and we’ve gathered here with one purpose, to reenact the symposion of ancient Greece. Eat and drink your fill, and satisfy your hunger for sophistication. As the Host, I shall pick the first topic for our symposion. I’ve been wondering, if a group of people are trapped in a building, with a hostile presence about, what would they do? Will they aide each other, or will they disregard their own values and morale and become monsters themselves? After all, how selfless can one be when his life is involved?”

“That is a very good question, Monsieur Devoveo,” a woman spoke, “I, myself, am a believer in humanity. I believe that we can always suppress the demons within us no matter what as long as one has the mental strength to the not succumb to the dark side.”

“I would have to disagree,” a man replied, “Humans had always been selfish. We desire not universal love, but to be loved alone. The world has always centered on us from the day we were born to the day we die. No matter how much we give, it was, is, and always will be about us, or rather, me, myself, and I. We will go to any extend just to preserve our lives, especially when those whom we would step upon are neither family nor friends.”

Another man jumped in, and soon, the whole dining room was lively with chatter, each one throwing sophisticated arguments at the other, not a word of insult but deep with meanings underneath as everyone try to defend one view or another while degrading others altogether.

“Theories are yet again still theories,” announced the Host, silencing all else, “Blabber on, we could, about our theories, and no conclusion would be reached. Therefore, I’ve devised a better way to solve our argument all together.”

Immediately, metals barred the main entrance and windows, locking all within with a deafening thud.

“What’s the meaning of this!?” one yelled.

“I am merely creating the situation of my proposition,” the Host said, “We shall see whether or not, sophisticated men and women like ourselves, would succumb to the grasp of evil.”

“Oooh, you got me good,” one said, “Now, stop with the joke.”

“Yes, stop it,” a woman acclaimed, giggling nervously, “You are obviously not serious, are you?”

“No, ma’am,” said the Host, “This is, by all means, a genuine psychological experiment.”

“Don’t **** with me!” a man stood up, slapping the table violently, pulled out his magnum and fired at the Host. There were a firework of sparks and a loud bang as the bullet came in contact with the Host’s head, which flew off his neck and onto the ground, rolling, the electrical charges from the ripped wires still flowing jubilantly. Instantly, the man was impaled by an iron arrow.

“The rule of this experiment is very simple,” the detached head spoke in a monotone, its voice mimicker malfunctioned, “Everyday, you shall vote on someone, who you want to kill, and I shall kill him or her for you. You can do this in any way you want, but as long as a person has the majority of votes, he or she will be executed immediately. Have you ever heard of a social game called mafia? I am among you, find me.”

A monotonous laugh rang throughout the dining hall, fading away slowly and finally, the robot no longer functioning. The guests were guided to their suites to rest for the night, all weary and frightened, not knowing what to do.

It’s now Night 0.

He sat upon his bed, and placed his glasses upon the counter, yawning, rubbing his wizened face. It was late at night; the kind-hearted medicinal man had checked upon one of the guests, ensuring that no harm had come to him. Now it was time for him to rest. Engulfing himself with the ivory cover, Dr. McPea lied down, his lips smacking, his tongue fixing his fake teeth, slightly out of place.

As he closed his eyes, there was a low chanting. He paid no notice; however, the chanting went on, with increasing volume and alacrity, followed by weak rumbling, which then also accelerated.

“What the hell is going on?” he asked, disgruntled, knowing full well that there was no one nearby to provide him with an answer. The chanting went on, and abruptly, a sound of thunder, and his whole bed collapsed. “What the ****?” he cursed, looking up, and to his horror, the boarding of his floor had cracked, pieces falling down into what seemed like a bottomless abyss. Then, he saw them, and they saw him.

Gone. Forever. Only a hollowed room was left behind.
Hook [Dr. Gobble McPea, the Post-Restricted Doctor] has disappeared

“Macrovius, I never thought you would betray me!” the shadow screamed. “But now, you shall pay the ultimate price!”
A hand erupted from the ground, grabbed his leg and dragged him underground. As he fell, the Butler thought of his brilliant plan and how one foolish mistake had taken it all away from him, taking no notice of the supernatural power his master possessed. His eyes had been on the money for a while, and now is the perfect time to set his plans in action. In a time of chaos, of anarchy, he will muster his conspirators, and soon the Devoveo’s fortune shall be his, but now, it is all gone.

I would have assumed someone stole his vote, but the fact that he was able to unvote doesn't seem to imply that. It also seems like a hefty chunk of the town have posting restrictions.

Now, this is annoying and I hope Briguy you aren't basing your vote off a simple cop investigation when you have no idea how your sanity works or any special mechanics about the game.
It's a lot better than a random vote. And I seriously doubt I'm flawed because I am pretty much a faith cop which is already a disadvantage.

I applaud those who are active; however, sadly, enough, less than half of you are. Therefore, I've decided to reduce the deadline as an incentive for activity for those who had contribute nothing at all. I am quite bad with time, but I am pretty sure next Thursday is the 2nd of October. Please note that the hour may vary.

Actually I'm pretty sure vampiric was referring to a post restriction because Sneaky doesn't mention at all towards a mason but he does use a biblical quote and vampiric says Ozo Bozo out.

Yea I don't think everyone is a mason in this mafia. So do you really think I would be stupid enough to claim as such when I didn't know what kind of evidence you had against me? If I was scum, then I would have just screwed my partner over if you had some really damning piece of evidence.

Lynching Pit so early in the game without much discussion might not be such a good idea. I think we're better off getting a couple more claims and then deciding who to lynch. Guilty results are rarely conclusive proof of guiltiness and innocence.

Also, does everyone have some sort of a post-restriction?

Would be like, but not exact copy. I can't live up to you. Yet. There will, of course, be a day where the Cult of Beelzebub overthrow your autocratic tyranny, but that will be another day. In my opinion, bastard modding is only when the mod is inconsistent, i.e. having an Iron Lightning Rod, but figured it was too overpowered and take away the Iron in the middle of the game. Now, obviously, if there was a preexisting condition that dictates such, it would be a different story. The rest, like giving a player the role of a Suicidal Voteless Lightning Rod Miller Actor Priest, is epic modding. Natch once gave me the role of a Survivor who thinks he's a Jester. Never really got over it, hence I always call him Natch ever since.

I think we ought to go with Briguy's investigation. Since Rot apparently has no night action, he can come out with his mason partner and then be lynched. If he's town, we know Briguy is useless and that Rot's mason partner is very likely town. If not, then Briguy is a legit cop and Rot and his partner should both be dealt with.
