Avast ye scurvy dogs. Do any o' ye landlubbers dare set sail with th' Thirsty Wench? T' pillage and plunder t' yer hearts content? T' be declared an outlaw o' th' sea taking what ye desire?

If ye do sign up for th' Thirsty Wench now and join th' most fierce pirate crew in th' whole Spanish Main. But be forewarned however that there be mutiny afoot and those found t' be involved will left for dead on naught but a small spit o' land. That be o' course if ye survive th' mutiny attempt.

Rules o' th' Trial

I. T’ vote to maroon a suspected mutineer ye must Vote: Pirate.
II. T’ change a vote to maroon a suspected mutineer ye first must Belay Vote.
III. Any man charged o' conspiring to mutiny may ask to be taken to see th' cap’n to be pardoned for th' day by calling for Parlay. Those under th' protection o' parlay may not be sent to th' Locker nor may th' make any action for th' night if th' cap’n chooses to pardon ye. Ye may only call for parlay if ye have at least two fifths o' th' shipmates voting for ye. T’ request parlay will immediately end th' day’s discussion.
IV. Ye may not reveal yer role unless ye have half th' required votes to maroon ye.

Articles o’ th’ Thirsty Wench

I. Once ye have said something ye may not change it.
II. No conversation be t’ be made at night or below deck. Doing so shall be considered conspiring t’ mutiny.
III. Ye must obey th’ Pirates Codex at all times.
IV. Dead men tell no tales.
V. Ye may not quote any messages ye may come across in bottles.
VI. In th' case o' mutiny separate trail rules may be set up.
VII. Any man found breaking any part o' this article or any trial rules will be immediately sent to Davy Jones’ Locker to feed the fish.

Captain Maegereg o' th' Thirsty Wench, a Restricted Two-shot Governor Isolator, has been killed.

It be Day 1. With 11 crew members still aboard ye need 6 votes on ye t' maroon ye and 3 votes t' be allowed t' claim.

Parlay is no longer an option with th' Captain being sent t' th' Locker.

Indeed it is. Still, only one kill, though, and no signs of any attempted kills. Though whether that's through game design or through player negligence is another matter entirely.

Sucks we won't be seeing how the "parlay" mechanic works now.

Anyways, I think we should start off by stating which players are millers. In the games that Julius did it, it worked out pretty well and this way scum can't claim miller later on.

So, we supposedly have two millers in a 12 player game, which is extremely unlikely, so one of the two millers is most probably scum.

I'd want a claim from Noodle before voting though.

Well, I can actually expand a bit on my role, as I'm not a miller as such. To quote Destiny's Child, 'I'm a Survivor', but I've asked TDA and he confirmed that an investigation on me will show up as guilty. So effectively yes, I'm a miller.

I totally agree that it's not a bad idea to get rid of a survivor, but I think that there is also a compelling reason not to.

I am William Shaw, a Doctor. I was sailing back to England when my ship was captured by the pirates. They kept me alive due to my usefulness, and I am a survivor because I am indifferent as to which side wins in the end. Last night, I protected Noodle, purely because he has a nasty habit of being killed on Night 0.

I'm being upfront with you because, if I claimed miller but didn't reveal my role, there's a fine chance I'd be lynched. If I hadn't claimed miller but was investigated, I'd probably be lynched as well. Therefore, I am being straightforward with both sides: lynch me, and you lose a Doctor. Possibly the only doctor.

That's interesting. While it's unconventional for the cop to come forward on the first day, I can't see any benefit to Droid lying at this early stage.

I obviously can't make a defense because of the rules (which are stupid, any game that can't be balanced to avoid a mass role claim needs to be redesigned); but I'm kinda upset that I'm now being targeted because someone else can't follow basic games rules.

Actually, survivors showing up guilty is a normality, so you're technically not a miller.

Two o' ye fallow crew reviled there entire role with no votes. Survivor/Miller claims be acceptable but full are not.

Sorry about that TDA I hadn't noticed that rule. Though to be honest I don't really see the point. If I wanted to claim on Day 1 I would just ask people to vote for me until I had half the required votes and then claim.

I would note that when ferret complained about not being able to claim, he had sufficient votes on him to claim. I'd also request that at least one person but no more than two take their votes off of ferret.

And people, please keep in mind that you can't claim straight out. If you desire to claim, please state so, and we'll put the necessary votes on you to allow it.

Sorry for being away, worked 24 hours out of the last 30.

I'm obviously scum, and I haven't invested enough time in this game yet to bother with a defense that will just waste everyone's time.

So I'm just going to call out parlay and see how that whole mechanic works.

I do want to point out that I'm rather upset about the whole claim and finger thing when it was against the rules - for all we know it was a mod mechanic designed to limit cop powers and it got blatantly ignored. It should be standard practice to read every rule in every game you play in.

Also, newt sucks for having already claimed the only role that'd be reasonable enough for me to get out of an unavoidable night zero investigation.

gl guys, you got me day one but you've lost your captain, you'll lose your doctor tonight and your cop the next.
