On the island of vardenfal many heroes have won great renown. The greatest of these have gathered in the glorious city of vivec's Arena to boast to one another of their achievements and to test each others strength. But alas. One of the great heroes was foully murdered. They now embark on a quest to rid the world of the scum who did it. Everyone suspects his neighbor and no one has a shred of evidence on who seeks the death of the heroes....yet

This is a unique type of mafia game. No one has a "action". Instead you get XP by doing quests. Every night you can use your XP to do an action or you can go questing where you cannot use you're night action but you get more XP.

There are no "roles". You make your own role. I email you who you are(Nord imperial ashlander etc). And then you get to pick(There are some restrictions) what kind of a guy you want to be. There are also guilds. But more information about that I'll release later.

No it doesn't matter if you know the theme or not. If you have played morrowind it will help with your customizing of your role and knowing about the guilds. It's not hard to understand though I'll give instructions.

For example.

Nords are horrible thieves.

No you have "roles". But they are different. Whatever character I give you has his own built in attributes. Example: Nord=strength

However you use your XP to level him up. But your attributes have to favor that type of action. So strenth would favor killing but it wouldn't favor spying. You can of course pick to use that but depending on how your atribute favors it. A lot, somewhat, not at all, depends on your chance of carrying it out. It will turn a investigation for instance into paranoid or naive one.

You get to tell me what powers you want you get to pick one right off the bat and you're role email will tell you how to get new powers. But they need XP to use them. Killing needs X number of xp.

You can also sacrifice attributes in the beginning to gain other ones. For instance you can make yourself a miller by breaking into a shop in the foreign quarter to steal some advanced armor that would make you Iron.

Thieving will turn up gold randomly. Thieving works differently so there will be no theif to choose.

Yes. But it will operate more on personal win conditions. There will be group win conditions but it will take a bit to explain. I'll go into more detail once I have 12 people.
