Watched the first one last night. Light tells his father that he'd definitely catch Kira if he was harmed like he was going to the store. It was a more important line in the anime. "I take a potato chip, and eat it" was never said. It was probably the most dramatic line in the series.

"I'm L" was said when there was no intent to get an emotional response from Light. In the anime, there was a full episode or so of tension where Light wondered if it was L or a proxy. In the movie, he's immediately verified as L by his father.

Honestly it's a terrible movie.

Posts 633 and 635 are where Herr tries to ascertain how much flavor the town has. Lordy pointed out another one of his posts, when I read them at the time I equivocated them to him goading scum into saying anything before his lynch.

Gil said in post 686 that this type of game doesn't require much rationalizing, and would be for a Herr lynch.

Bulba should really elaborate what he's trying to say.

No I was trying to ascertain how much flavor Mozzy had. There's a difference there.

Mozzy was doing that thing where scum know that the next lynch is going to be a town lynch so they try to get a headstart in the suspicions count by being the first to point the finger at someone else despite supporting and voting for a lynch. This aroused my suspicions, and I tried to work out if he was actually scum masquerading under the guise of a king (which frankly is the best place for scum to hide in this game). Turns he's just a grunt though, which is unfortunate because that wasn't the conclusion I was hoping to arrive at.

So, analyzing posts and posting wall of quotes will be detrimental for us, as that helps the assassin classify who the guards are, and who the kings are. Where you asked Mozzy about his role email, was something that at the start of game was deemed to be things-to-avoid.

Bottomline- You can't really play this game as a normal mafia game. So the mafia scumtell/strategies will not work as effectively.

I'm here and will try to post more soon. Currently, unless I'm mistaking this with another game, I think I'm agreeing with Herr mostly. I'll try to provide more discussion in my next post.

Well I gave it my go. I'd be comfortable with a lynch on either player I find is suspect, because that's all the information we really have to put towards a lynch.

Some players don't want to weigh in on the issues or bring up their own concerns. It feels like half of us are playing for the whole here.

Well I'm going to wait for Sarn's post and if nothing arises out of that I'll claim my name to try to move the game along. I honestly don't see any other options for moving forward except random/mass name claim.

Reading through, I find myself very suspicious of Herr, for a few reasons, none of which I will elaborate much on, since, as has actually been established, too much information will harm us. I will say that I looked through the game with the knowledge of the dead players' alignments and Herr stood out to me. I'm comfortable lynching Herr.

I'll give it a read through tonight with the assumption Herr and Thy are scum and see the difference.

I actually didn't read through under the assumption that Herr is scum, merely with the knowledge that Thymole was scum. Herr just stood out to me by the end of my read through.

Ok with 10 alive, him claiming means 7 havent. Most likely one assassin is still here so the assassin has a 1 in 6 chance of killing the right king. Also remember that the assassin is revealed once he kills.

And they get a free shot once they are lynched. Or at least in the standard format.

Well as I said earlier if you have some other way of moving forward let me know. And unless you can bring up some reasons that stand up to scrutiny don't offer up lynchig me as an option.

I will say that the mass claim would only ever favor scum. Obvious implications aside scum would likely have obscure safeclaims and the king would stick out like a bad claim.

Now we could turn over a few rocks just to get things moving, or we could lynch our biggest suspects. And yes, Herr, there's now a total of three or so posts that stand up to scrutiny against you.

For every comment Herr made towards Dante, Pulse, or Sarn Thymole had a similar opinion. Thymole's first vote was against Gil. I'm not averse to doing this myself to a scumbuddy, but in a game with information being a high commodity it would be suicide to have a partner forced to claim off of a "random" bus vote.

Thymole also wanted Bulba to claim, argued with him later on. Mayank is basically confirmed.

Popey and Thymole argued more than I remembered. But Lordy pretty obviously got a tell (holy ****ing 436 batman) and he was pretty obviously Mello.
