I need everyone's help to make this thread a good one. Let's not let the spam get out of hand this time. This isn't a race to 2500 even if it seems like one. Please, if you haven't already, look at part of Simmy's Splash Splash Part II thread. I know we can no longer beat the party thread, but let's have fun with this thread (without spamming too much) anyway!

History:
To start out, here's a little history. We splashers have always tried to preserve our rich heritage. To new members of our crew, keep this in mind. Splash Splash, first of all, began as a rebellious thread in the old Strategy Forum. It traces its origins to a thread called moooooooooooooooooooo. It was started by a legendary forumer by the name of cow_gone_mad. Eventually it was closed (due to an old post limit), and along came a thread called Chirp Chirp. This thread was started my a forumer named dedkrikit. Eventually this thread sunk, lacking in new posts due to the reopening of moooooooooooooooooooo. moooooooooooooooo was unfortunately again closed, and this time for good.

Out of the darkness arose a new leader, Tonto_Simfish. He started a thread called Splash Splash. Unfortunately, this thread became corrupted on the Heavengames server. Simfish came to the rescue with Splash Splash Part II. This was the second largest thread in all of Heavengames history, topped only by the infamous Party Thread from the old Knights of the Round Table forum.

With the creation of the Town's Crier forum in 2003, Splash Splash Part II was moved to it's present location. With the new rule of a thread limit of 2500, Splash Splash Part II had to be closed. (By the way, I had the last non-mod post in that thread.) Splash Splash Part II had 12289 posts with its closure.

zyxomma100 then started Splash Splash III in Simfish's absence. Simfish returned for Splash Splash IV. Then came Adder's Rattle, Rattle, the quickest thread to reach the new limit. That takes you up through now.

Rules:
Rules? In a knife fight?
I would like to say there are no rules, but it seems a few are needed. In the past the rules have always been unwritten, but since many of you are new, I have written them out.
1. Don't spam too much
--This rule has prompted rule number 2...
2. The following numbers are now the only officially recognized sigposts: 1, 500, 666, 1000, 1234, 1337, 1500, 2000, 2500, and 10,000.
3. Newbies are welcome in this thread but must behave.
--This rule will be enforced by bleedteal's n00b pen.
4. Older forumers, please, don't let the complaining about the past get out of hand. Yes, things used to be better. However, there is nothing we can do about the post limit or the leaving of many members of this community. Too much grumbling will drag this thread down, just like too much spam will.
5. Respect all of the other regular splashers.
--If you don't like someone, just hit them with a random object.

Finally, if you don't like what I'm doing with this thread, just say so either by hitting me with a random object (with complaint attached) or by yelling at me until I respond.
