Well, there is a new PC in my home, with Windows 7-64bit, and AOK installed, I am now back to AOK, after a lot of time playing only the original AOE (kinda boring, actually).

I got the graphics bug, but it's nothing to be worried about, I can get used to it.

Hopefully it will get fixed over time, so I don't have to end explorer.exe to play with normal colors. As I can't fix it with compatibility mode (Windows XP & 256 colors)

You will now see me around here with a project now and then, but until that happens, see ya later, folks.

Why don't you download VEG's windowed mode and use widescreenpatcher to get it into any resolution?

It fixes any color bugs.

Use the method via registry:

32Bit Vista / Win7:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectDraw\Compatibility\aoe2x10cp]
"Name"="age2_x1.exe"
"ID"=hex:EC,33,74,3B
"Flags"=hex:00,08,00,00

64Bit Vista / Win7:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\DirectDraw\Compatibility\aoe2x10cp]
"Name"="age2_x1.exe"
"ID"=hex:EC,33,74,3B
"Flags"=hex:00,08,00,00

Just create a new text file called "age2.reg" or something. Important is the file type is .reg

Copy and Paste the code for your OS (32Bit or 64Bit) in that file. Save it.
Import the File to the registry by doubleclicking it.

Thanks, I don't have the admin rights on the new computer, but I will see how I get over it.

When my projects start getting on the tracks, though, I will give you a nice screenshot to them.

By now, I have the intention of reviving Qin - The first Empire and I have something on the backstage that I will not show until I get it going, since I just started the designing.
