Topic Subject: Summoning 1-2 Units Near Another
posted 14 February 2005 01:16 AM EDT (US)
This is old. Although this was posted in the Never Dying Units thread already, it was added in as an edit when the thread was already closed. Therefore, never getting noticed.

I decided to repost it here. It's basically the same concept as the Never-Dying Units:
============================

Quote:

Making 1 or 2 Units Appear at Its Side (Summoning Units)

Example: Anubite Dies.
What Happens: It comes back to life with two more anubites at it's side!

In simple English, when it dies, it becomes a Promethean for a split-second, gets killed, then revives, and a Change Units in Area effect changes the Promethean Offspring into two more anubites!

But it has to be one or two. If you want more, use a combination of killing it again and getting 2 more units or changing it to a titan - using the same method as getting two units.

Here's the layout:
============================================
Trigger1
Active, Loop, Run Immediately, Highest Priority

Condition: Is Dead

Effect:
Change Unit Type to Titan (1 Unit)/Promethean (2 Units)
Damage Percent 100
Fire Trigger2
------------------------------------
Trigger2
Run Immediately, Highest Priority

Condition: Always

Effect:
Change Unit Type to what you want it when revived
Damage Percent -100
Change Units in Area: Player 1 to Player 1, Titan Gate Dead (1 Unit)/Promethean Small (2 Units) to New Units you want.

==========================================

If you don't want the unit to have to DIE first (only summons 1 unit tho), just create a trigger which has the effects:

Quote:

Let's call the unit we summon units around the "Summoning Unit".

We'll call what GETS SUMMONED, the "Summoned Unit".

Change Unit Type ("Summoning Unit" changed to "Titan Atlantean"
Change Units in Area (Center Unit is Summoning Unit. Change Titan Gate into your choice of the Summoned Unit.)
Change Unit Type ("Summoning Unit" back to what it was originally).

The best part is that the Summoning Unit retains its original HP. This also works great as special attacks (Mummies summoning minions at its side).

HOWEVER, as stated in this thread, special units (Meteor Impact Water) will float for some reason.

LOL, this is like the biggest coincidence in my life:

I was just doing two things: looking at ptfq's original post for this and reading the Alexander the Great part of my Social Science book (one of them, at least) for a quiz tomorrow.

Nice find
