I have this really cool idea for a campaign: Visionary: An Assassin's Tale.

The Story:

The story begins in a Greek city state. There are rumors around all of Greece about the rapid expanding of the Roman Empire. The government claims that the city is safe and will not be affected. But the Oath knows better. The Oath is a secret revolutionary group of men who search for the truth and try to keep the city from corruption, even if it means having to kill. Ustil is an assassin for The Oath and has been sent out to uncover more than what is being told about the rapid expanding of the Roman Empire.

Cool Features
At the beginning of each mission you could choose a gun. Each gun will have an effect on your mission. Example: If you choose a sniper, you will have long range and an extremely fast shooting bullet (arrow lol). If you choose a shotgun, you will shoot 6 bullets, have short range, but a powerful shot. If you choose a machine gun you will shoot bullets in quick succesion. If you choose flamethrower you will shoot fire siphon fire and enemies hit will slowly be burned. I will probably add more guns and you will have to work to unlock newer guns.
Another cool feature that I hope to put in will be if you kill innocent civilians it will affect your mission in a bad way and if you shoot someone publicly civilians may alert other enemies.

I will obviously need some help with this, but I don't plan on it being a long campaign. It would be great if someone who can mod would make some textures.

We won't be starting the making for a little while though, because I'm waiting for AJER to make some cines for my RPG, and then I'm taking a tiny break.

I may help, but I want to know more of the story first. I'll make a choice when you have more of a storyline, and fix 'Assassin' :P

The flamethrower and machinegun wouldn't be possible (as far as I know). All units have a preset animation, and their attacks can only happen during the completion of one cycle. You can't speed up the rate of fire for a machinegun. And the flamethrower could be possible if any of the units actually poison the victim, which is probably a special attack if there even is one (I don't really know :P). As for now, I can only wish you good luck with this campaign, so, Good Luck!

Getting someone else to do something you can't instead of learning,to shame.:P Flame thrower is possible indeed. To perfect it would probably not be very lag friendly.

Yeah, I made the flamethrower yesterday, I just have to mkae a better burn damage trigger.

An interesting choice of theme for an AoM campaign. Sounds like fun ^_^

The machine gun'll be hard to create, though.

OK, so i have every weapon made except for the machine gun, which i'm still working on, i don't know how much success i'll have.
I'm working on a good story so i'll post that later.
Anyone want to sign up to work on it?

No one wants to help with anything? You can say what area you want to help with. I've been working a lot on the eyecandy while i sent my RPG to the playtesters.

AOMH is a place where many ideas come and go and actual real material produced is few. My advice: Pick an idea, stick to it and finish it. The less extraneous fantasies and more hard data you produce as a designer the better. So, if you want to actually produce something of quality, forget about all of your ideas save one, and go from there. You'd be surprised how much you can accomplish by setting your mind on one task and adamantly going for it.

Don't take this as a criticism, I'm just trying to help you produce more material and less brainstorms.

But other than that, yeah it's a good idea.

ill help woth what i can but i dont have multiplayer so i couldnt playtest and i cant mod except for making textures but im not too good at that
