No problem. In this game Nekron will show you how to play the dark parts of the pipes!

The strawberries taste fine, we keep harvesting ... we hide in the woods from our enemies and ambush them when they come pass the road.

We wonder what tricky plans our enemies are brooding on! As we conquer the land, we scarcely see a trace of them. (And if, then with a fringed tail.) But with growing fun our scouts watch the places of the valley creatures. Nekron's secret plan now seems to bear fruit: let the wildlife fight for you!

All the silence from our opponent? - Oh yes, I have seen it! A bunch of scoundrel Water Dancers have beaten up Sir Frederic of the Holy and the lonesome Elven horseman whose life we were so eagerly sparing - (loud hysterical laughter). The pretty beasts have listened well to the sermons of Nekron! - But in consequence the remaining Charioteer had better luck. We lost 4 little popup dwarvies (Goblins) and a nice Goblin Flyer against the dour warrior who was even wounded before. The first real battle.

Now the game starts getting into some gears. A surprise? We are always for a surprise! What could it be? A nice ambush? Somewhat exited, Ymbria stalks forward ... Meanwhile our troops take over Anon's orderly mills at the East coast. Our air craft is climbing the mountains, and after a couple of more days Anon will not be able to pay his troops - giggle.

Nekron, day 14

Day 13 is over without fiasci, Ymbria takes a deep sigh and marches on. Now we approach the Halfling city from two sides, better safe than sorry! They hold two ballistae and two Charioteers, one of them with golden medal. As Anon decided to take a stroll in the underground, they lack all magic protection to our benefit. They are doomed, and we can already see them sweating!

Nekron, day 15

To our welcome Anon's men came out from the Halfling city, forgoing the benefits of the wall and tower guard! With just one casualty we slain the defenders. You can watch this battle, Hiranu, carefully. It is a school example of how you can possibly beat high ranking charioteers with a small (5 units) flock of medium units (featuring two Death Knights). There were no uneven stats bonuses in this battle, just a plain logical succession. And we had the advantage of combat spells, of course.

Meanwhile Anon must have bitten on his lips for leaving his tower. Ymbria is standing with some troops shortly before the capital; it looks that within short time all settlements will be in our possession. No Holy Wood nor defending combat spells can protect them. We wonder what Anon is looking for in the underground! We have noticed him rumbling about in the Kharagh's cave, somewhat undecisive where to go. Today he sent a Unicorn forth to capture a useless (for him) power node and spy at our underground Goblins. It is slain. Did he hope to survive in the cellar with some bottles of wine? Would not be surprised if he lost his troops in the struggles with Kharagh and ugly spider folk. Or is he keeping a secret mighty army from our sight? - Anyway, looks we have to haunt him in the damp earth hole! What an end for the shiny Warlord!

Anon, from a non disclosed location

Seems we turn to partisan warefare, in an attempt to strike blows against the enemy large enough to be seen.

Nekron, day 16

Again they came out from the castle, must be a new sport! Lilly the Ranger had joined the pack and tried to make some ground for them, but all in vain. With 2 casualties we vanquished Anon's thin army. Then Ymbria with the aid of an Executioner made a fierce attack against the capital and its dour defending canon. It almost costed her life, but they conquered the city! Well done! That Executioner unit accompanied us since the start with many brave deeds and received a deserved golden medal in Anon's capital. The soldiers sang him hails all night and I couldn't prevent them from gett'n all drunk, too.

Creek valley's wizard towers are now in our possession. What is left is haunting down that dog Anon in his stoney cave, which likely will also become his grave ... har har har!

Now we can spot him! As far as we can see, the "mighty army" of Anon consists of 7 level-1 units (archers and legionaries) and two unicorns. One of our spiders started turning out the lights on Anon's remaining resources in the cave. The haunt has started!

Victory is ours! Though this was not much of a proud finish.

Epiloque

A surprisingly easy won game. Lack of map knowledge and of proper unit strength assessment has ruled the play of my opponent. His strategic decissions, as far as recognizable, were at times so bad that serious doubts have arisen here whether he did not voluntarily let us win. - Anyway it was a funny game which I enjoyed, and thanks for playing, Hiranu! Though I doubt it will hold as a good prove that the Dark side of this map is well playable. And for the future I'm going to play the SM version.

I made two major mistakes on this map. The first one wiped out half my army, the second one wiped out the other half. Truly I proved that my place (within 3 points of the absolute bottom) on the wizard's ladder is well deserved.
