Red dragons are in fact a _lot_ weaker than they used to be. They are still better than nothing, but they will lose to most other level four units. I've depated building nothing but flyers some games. Its just that dragons feel so good.

yeah, i saw them and your abomination get upset, and was hoping they would rebel... now i'm not so sure it was a good thing though, since they razed a ton of stuff on me before I could get defenders back...

they even wiped out a dark elf village with 7 defenders in it... that set me back a bit...

Very annoying that I couldn't get that stack back in range of the reinforcements. And the hydras are going to drive me stark raving mad having to wait for them to haul their scaly asses along.

our enemies range is even better then we had anticiapted, so we lost a slightly scattered stack of decent troops.

we made up for it today by killing one of their heroes...
should not be too much of a concearn for my opponant... she is very used to losing heroes apparantly!

(how many have you gone through? 6-8? I just dont understand why they are so willing to sign up when the previous heroes have died so often! lol!)

Many is the hero willing to die for something greater than themselves, including the noble Draconion cause.

Alas we lost another city today, to meager forces but forces enough. Retribution will be had in good time though.

(I'm not sure either why I keep getting heroes after losing this many, but I don't argue)

with my defeat of the "galley o' pain" on the fields outside of my dark elf town, and Ambir's failed attempt to retake her halfling city (losing QUITE the stack of troops to my assorted stack of misfits), I'm now the 'magnificent' again, and my enemy the average. Of course, it was not long ago that I was thought of this way, while Ambir was considered 'weak', so I know how fast the fires can shift.

Our guarison in the halfling city was also cut down to practically nothing, so we expect it to be captured on the morrow. It appears that soon the boundries will return to as they once were, and both sides will build up for another round of blows.

a series of sneak attacks has appeared to hamstring Ambir's army...

first her 4 slinger fail to hold her draco town, then her air galley and 2 knights fall, and my hero takes out 2 draco flyers for good measure.

other then perhaps a few hidden units, we seem to have secured the area around her capital... its just a matter of time, now.

the small trap I laid for ambir's guarison didnt work as well as I had hoped.

we lost 3 good units, and only managed to kill 2 of her scrubs, and wound a knight, who will be fully healed by a sanctuary by morning light.

Still, that leaves the capital's forces at Ambir and her knight, with most likely another knight joining her ranks tommorrow.

we have a much larger force coming very soon...

...and here they are.

after seeing that Ambir had only a knight, fire elemental, and herself in her wizard tower, I decided to attack a bit prematurely wit honly the stack that could reach her capital this turn; 4 knights, doom bats, and my level 2 hero, who was decked to the gills with my best artifacts.
in the end, I was victorious (although I WISH I could have seen the end battle!).

I dont suppose that you can send me your turn after you look at it (without the password protection if you put one on previously), so I can watch the end battle, too? Its such a pain in the arse that the 'victory' screen pops over the top of the final battle, and you have no way of rewatching it!

yes and no... I'd love to play another with you guys, but I'm WAY too overloaded with games right now, and even more swamped with real life.

I just bought a house (closing on the 26th!), and I'm getting married in july, so I have alot of stuff up in the air right now.

until I either get down to 1-2 games, or get back from the honeymooon, I can't start any new games.

I'll take a rain check though!
