Sorry for having used that cheap strategy It just tells you that how afraid I was of your coming armies.

It's becoming a bad habit though. I kicked Enginerd out of Marlene Schatten the same way

I'm having a hard time finding time to play my turns. Will play this one as soon as possible.

Thanks for the match, PawelS; we were really concerned about your movements!

The new Don. Day 29+8

Genghist Frost's mammoth fell right into my bait and now it's enlisted under my banner.

A good portion of Lady Bane's armies is now working for me, notably the mighty elite black dragon.

Leaving Dahlia's land in ruins.

Genghis Frost - Frostlings - Day 37

Sara has decided to burn our village to the ground and moves her army into the cold snow. Will she end up freezing in this weather?

I have been away on vacation. I had transfered the file while away but had problems with which file was the correct turn file and generated a restart. I am back now and should be back to regular turn times.

New Don day 29+9

Recruited another unit of Lady Bane. Draco blackie is sent to counter the Draco reddie of Dahlia. A few more manticores follow it lead too.

I got the turn but it will take sometime for me to play because it was a difficult turn and I played it last night but my PC crashed while I was playing it and e-mailing Albinscott about plans and moves at the same time. Kinda demotivating this situation because I'll have to replay and rewrite a whole lot and the hot weather at my place does not help either when the heat still around 31°c even at midnight.

My apologies for the delay and the coming restart message especially because there is a battle involved in this turn.

Our time has come to an end. I was not able to counter the surprise attack by Sara who did a good job in this strategy.

Thanks for the game guys. It was fun. Hopefully we can catch up with another game soon. I'll check in again to see how this one finishes out.

    late log
    New Don, day 29+14

Pearlman's armies over the bridge are destroyed. Now it's our turn to hold the defensive position in the watch tower.

The sudden demise of Genghist Frost has greatly taken the pressure off us in the south. Troops are split to dispatch northwards. Dahlia's small faction in the south will soon meet their fate.

    ts

Thanks for the game Gryffone! I would have had hard time dealing with your huge armies defending the watch tower. It looked like that Pawel's and your wizard were in the wrong place at the wrong time

Uh oh... With Genghis gone it seems to be time to surrender. No way we can rise from here.

I must confess that I'm still a lousy judge, when it comes to weight wizards' relative powers in AoW... Are you both serious about surrendering?!

I have a lot of comments to do about this game, but I won't say anything else until the game ends. Anyway, thank you both for your words: considering the opponents and their skills that we have been fighting here, I feel very proud to read them!

Sorry for havent been logging for a while

There's little for me to do as fromage67 built a very well kingdom for me. I usually suck at going from scratch though Besides, the victory came to us mostly not thanks to our game play but due to fortunate opportunities that we could take out Lady Bane and Ghengis Frost easily. The armies that they had were very impressive. Pawel got me worried about his moves underground until I found out his wizard were pretty much alone at home The same would be spoken about Ghengist. I was having hard time positioning and distributing the forces in the south to break his 4 stacks defense at the tower but then one simple battle from Sara, my problems gone. The toughest part of the game for me was to deal with Torso's troop underground right after I had taken over the game from fromage67 and the battle against his armies on the island.

Anyway, thank you all for the game! It's been quite enjoyable for me even though I wasn't in it from the start.

::well, look like it IS over::

Congratulations, naecO, you are the true winner of this match (alliance is off, even if that wouldn't be necessary for the title).
I appreciate your advises and insights, this was one of those rare games where I could actually discuss things with a partner. Thanks, mate!

Henrysix, who I substituted and who in turn had substituted Frall, had gone for an all-or-nothing move towards Walker, leaving very few behind. He had a great army, with great buffs and nice transports. This strategy largely depended on our neighbor's good will and peaceful manners, but LordDuck didn't hold such attitude for too long! Nevertheless I managed to sell most of the stuff in several settlements and establish a reasonable defense in the NE corner, in order to attract his forces for as long as possible.

Killing Bane and Frost were lucky but also meritorious deeds.
Transports (Balloons and a Forceship) were absolutely decisive for me, in order to keep lots of enemies at bay.

This is a wild, demanding map, which still holds a lot of secrets to me: naecO managed to send me to the void via an event, in the late stage of the game - I can only assume this was not on purpose!
Congratulations to its author too, King David!

Thanks everybody for such nice game.
