Darth Vader stared out onto the Coruscant skyline, watching as millions of people headed back to their homes for another night. But, for the dark lord of the sith, there was never sleep. He would always be awake, patrolling the streets, running errands for his master, or out on missions, slaughtering the remaining jedi. He sometimes wondered if his decision to join the sith had been such a good one after all...

"Lord Vader?" A lowly corporal approached him, whimpering. Vader had gotten used to being interupted during his meditation. It would always happen, whether it was something important or not. Low ranking officers always had something to say, and Vader had not yet decided if they were doing their jobs or simply brown nosing for respect.

"yes?"

"Lord, Moff Tarkin has just reported. He says the Death Star is almost finished, only a few more weeks."

"Good. Well done corporal."

And with that, the dark lord stalked off, wondering what was so important that Tarkin had reported in.

CORUSCANT - IMPERIAL SENATE

Despite the huge number of 'mysterious' murders taking place in the members of the Senate loyal to the Old Republic, Bail Organa had manage to convince the Imperial Security Bereau of his innocence, and since Palpatine did not seem to take much interest in the actual running of the Senate anymore, leaving that to Mas Amedda, Organa had thus far managed to keep a good flow of information heading to Mon Mothma and the Rebel Alliance.

Although Organa had found it amusing when Mon Mothma had officialy sent an Article of Rebellion to Palpatine, he knew that he could not be so bold and open if he wanted to remain the Alliance's only current source of information.

Organa now stood in one of the hallways outside the Senate Rotunda, with Commander Ricard Kahn, his new bodyguard and Chief of Security. Whereas Organa was a reasonably tall, handsome looking gentleman of a man, Kahn was a huge, brutal-looking human tank. His heavy blaster rifle hanging on its strap on his side, Kahn stood out from the other Alderaanian Security Guards by a mile, even though he wore the same uniform.

"Ricard," Organa said to his bodyguard, "Send a note to Mary, saying that I will be late for supper today."

This was a coded sentence, so as to avoid any Imperial 'bugs' which were bound to be strewn around the place. The sentence merely translated from the code into 'Send a message to Mothma, saying that I will be late for the rendevous.'

Organa and Kahn, with a nod to the three other Alderaanian Guards and the two Senate Guards with them, then stepped into the Senate Rotunda Platform which was reserved for Alderaan, and took their seats as other Senators, what was left of them, began filing into their own Pods.

Imperial Palace - Asembly Room

The Emperror needed a new Stormie to escort some of his cargo transports across the Outer Rim. So the Stromtrooper has been promoted to Captain. He was sent to the Outer Rim and so begun his journey with one of the Cargo Crafts.

But suddenly, between two Planets the proximity alarm was sounding all around the Cargo Craft.

"Captain, we have serious damage, Rebel ships are coming towards us! Fighters are pinning down or shite Guns! Arghhhh, Sir, do something!" Said the Lieutenant.

The Stormtrooper quickly ran to the guns and started to man a Turret, the last Turret actually.

Ben Kenobi had no doubt heard about the Empire's huge battle station. It would be all over the galaxy by tomorrow, everyone would know. The old man couldn't help but feel proud of Kyle Katarn, even though pride was frowned upon by the Jedi Order. But then again, there was no order now. Only the Empire, and his old apprentice, Darth Vader. Ben could remember it like yesterday... lava creeping up the mans back, the screams, the ear shattering screams...

No. He must not think about that now. All that would do is bring pain, something the old man didn't need any more of.

He stood up, surveyed his small hovel, and strolled out in front of the house, to where his old jedi starfighter stood, landed. He remembered the times he had flown in it, the events leading up the Battle of Geonosis... the Battle of Kamino... the Battle of Coruscant...

He knew that the jedi starfighter standing as a grim memory of the clone wars wouldn't help, so he used the force to move it up onto a high ledge, where hopefully the Tusken Raiders would attempt to salvage it. He took one last look at the jedi starfighter, turned, and began to walk down the sandy path towards Mos Eisley.

Boba aroused, only to find his destination planet. The Battle of Geonosis was only a blur now, ever since his life had been devoted to the hunt... It only had a place in his dreams... The giant ball of dust that was Tatooine loomed over his small vessel. He would wait there with Jabba the Hutt, until someone needed his services...

TANTIVE IV, COCKPIT

The Neimoidian known as Gunnu Gunem loomed over the pilot. "How far until we reach our destination?" He asked. "I can't give you an estimate sir. We don't know how many Imperial Ships there might be in our course." Replied the Pilot. "Very good, I will notify the Princess." With that, the tall igure stalked off. Gunnu wore the robes of the Viceroy. He should have been leader of his people, but the Empire took control of them. The title of Viceroy was meaningless. Only would he truly lead his people if the Empire was defeated. That was why the Rebellion held his allegences. He was an 'unoficial' leader of the Alliance. The Princess took him along on this mission of special importance. He would soon learn why he was along.
