SPACE COMMANDER | CORE CONQUEST


Introduction
The Space Commander Series is a mod for the EaW full game. It will contain a new Galaxy for you to conquer in later versions. There are also a lot of realistic modifications in this mod. Once the Map Editor will be out, Space Commander Series will have it's own maps. ;D

Installation
Copy the XML and ART Folders in your GameData\Data Folder. Then choose the play mode by copying the XML file from the folder of your desired play mode into the XML Folder and hit yes when asked to replace. Copy the DAT file in your GameData\Data\Text folder and replace the simple one.
NOTE: Backup the original DAT file!

Cool mod, really like the ISD now. I know this is only a Beta but it appears the the Nebula-B Class Frigates cant be destroyed now. All hard points get taken out except for the Hanger.

When you say 'new galaxy' do you mean one with additional planets not included in EaW? (Mustafar, etc.)

Yeah i just asked about this mod to be added to the mod manager. I tried to play online last night, and couldnt connect to any game because i had installed this mod :-(
Is there any way to have to mod in the mod manager Lordbodin99 it would save having to re-install the game when i play online :-P

Thanks for a great mod by the way, much better now the ISD are HUGE. Just need to increase the space battles cap and were sorted lol :-D

What do you mean reinstall the game?! Just delete the Xml folder and replace the DAT file with the original one, oh, duh, stupid me, I forgot to tell you to backup the original DAT File.

Lol its ok. We live, we play we learn. Looks like there might be another problem ive come across.

After using the Death star to destroy planets (and i mean a lot of them) the Rebels appear to be able to building up in the Asteriods left behind. I dont know if this is a bug but it makes it almost impossible to find where the main forces are.

Oh and the Galactic conquest game i just finished i didnt have the Emperor or Boba Fett show up at all, where normally you have them from the beginning.

Hmmm.... Let me see what I can do about that.

That's because I removed them so they won't autospawn when the Core Conquest begins.

EDIT: Please notify me if you have the same problem the Nebulon B Frigate had with the Mon Cal Cruiser.

NO Boba, NO Emperor! Boooooo...... Lol.
The empire definently needs both some how.

Ill check the Mon Cal Cruisers this evening when i play a friend online. But so far the Nebula-B Frigates are working ok. Also noticed the cap raised for the number of ships in space battles. VERY NICE!!!!!

Please note that i play your mod using the 20 planet map from Tech 1 so i can test all the changes from start to finish. Ive only tested the Empire atm, but will be trying the Rebels this evening. But so far, no errors or problems.

Now if you can just create an SSD about 3x the size of them ISD's should make the game a little more interesting LOL. Only kidding.

True i agree its a big ship. And ive read all the posts on getting it implemented into the game, there would be problems. The only way i can see a SSD being implemented via a mod, is to shrink all current ships by about a third, so that the sheer scale of an SSD would be regonised. Since i dont know how to make mods only play them i wont pursue the SSD any futher.

Like i said before, its a cool mod bud. Keep up the good work.

Thx on the Hero front. Will let u know how the Rebels play out this evening.

PS. Have you been able to get this mod to work over a LAN or over the Net by any chance. Both me and a friend have the same patch and mod, but it comes up with a version mismatch?

You open Planets.xml and let's say you want to modify Coruscant.
Hit CTRL+F and type Coruscant. Scroll down to:

<Galactic_Position>-5.0, 35.0, 10.0</Galactic_Position>

Change those to modify it's Galactic Position. You know, X Y Z.
