Storyteller's Mafia X: Da Hooch

"Mister FitzGerald Landstreicher!" the clerk called.

"I'm a doctor, you know," FitzGerald corrected, coming
forward.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Here are your possessions. One pair
of green cargo pants, one puke-colored shirt, one green
trenchcoat, one pair brown boots, one spoon." The clerk
pushed the neatly folded clothing and boots across the
counter to the waiting FitzGerald. "You can change out of
your jumpsuit over there." Moments later, FitzGerald walked
out of the prison, a free man. A free man with nothing but
the clothes on his back and a spoon. The government had
literally taken everything else from him, allegedly to pay
back taxes and interest that he owed. Taxes that he had paid
on time. But revenge was the last thing on his mind.
FitzGerald didn't have a dime to his name, and who hires a
doctor fresh out of prison? His medical license was
worthless, and in this economy, so were his prospects of
getting a job anywhere else.

FitzGerald wandered for two days, begging for coin on
various street corners. Hungry, tired, and defeated, he
stumbled into an abandoned trainyard, hoping to seek refuge
in one of several seemingly abandoned boxcars. And that's
where he found the others. Other hobos, many who had
similarly been bankrupted and jailed because of tax evasion
that they swore they'd not committed. The abandoned
trainyard was actually a small community of the homeless,
called Boxcar. It was no paradise, but it was better than
what society was offering. And with his immediate needs met,
FitzGerald, like many others of Boxcar, began to ponder
revenge. The government had robbed him and many of his new
friends, and he wasn't going to stand for it. The government
would pay!

    The sun dipped and the various homeless moved to their
    respective sleeping quarters, clutching tightly to the
    newspapers and bits of cloth they used to keep warm at
    night. Several fires contained in empty oil drums were lit,
    but soon, everyone was sleeping. Well...almost everyone.
    Forces yet unseen moved through the city. They would see
    this homeless threat ended now, before they could interfere.

    It is Night 0.

    SirDante was reclining on a park bench when, out of nowhere,
    Dick Cheney appeared. "You voted for Nader!" the politician
    shouted rabidly. SirDante had no idea what he was talking
    about, but the rifle in hand certainly made it apparent his
    intention. Then, out of nowhere, Toothless Fred to the rescue!
    Toothless Fred looked Dick Cheney up and down, and then lunged
    at him, an incoherent shout coming from his toothless mouth.
    The fight was epic, to say the least. Dick must have shot poor
    Fred a dozen times before succumbing to the stab wounds. In
    the end, the two slumped down. Toothless Fred crawled over to
    SirDante, and gasped "You looked like you were in danger,
    young fellow..." And with that, he died.

    THYMOLE tried to kill SirDante, but failed.
    Dick Cheney (THYMOLE), a mafia rioter, has been killed.
    Toothless Fred (lordofglory), a guardian bomb, has been killed.
    It is Day 1.
    There are 19 of you, so it is 10 to lynch.


  • Rioter: Each night, a rioter may kill a player. However, there is a 50% chance that the target of that player is killed instead. A rioter believes he is a vigilante/hitman/killer.
  • Guardian: Each night, a guardian may protect a player from kills. If that player is attacked, the guardian is killed instead. In some variants, if the guardian is killed in this manner while protecting a player that shares alignment with the guardian, then the guardian wins the game along with other winners.
  • Bomb: Bomb applies to a player. If a bomb is killed, the attacker(s) is also killed.

    Yes, it does look like Dante is a town member, seeing as the only kill attempt came from the mafia. And, if Dante doesn't have post restriction, then I've never seen one.

    Ale isn't good evidence, but I doubt many of Dante's posts will be serious in this game.

    I'm interested in seeing what Henrz has to say here.

    Well this is awkward... I guess I should Claim... I am Bob the Alien, and I am an aligner hider.. Which basically means I target 1 person to gain their alignment for that night/day, Rot refused to tell me what I would be investigated as so I targetted and therefore hid and have the alignment currently of Major. I can understand why you might want to lynch me as I am just a survivor that predetermins their alignment each night, but atleast give me a chance?

    I feel the same way I did after playing Stronghold 2 for about 15 minutes, like it was my birthday and all my friends had wheeled a giant birthday cake into the room, and I was filled with hopes dreams and desires when suddenly out of the cake pops out not a beautiful buxom maid, but a cranky old hobo that just shanks me then takes $60 dollars out of my pocket and walks away saying "deal, with it".

    Well something strange happened to me last night and I believe Henrz might be involved, although I can't be completely sure yet. I should be able to explain what happened to me based on whatever Henrz turns up at.

    We need not be in such a hurry to end the day. Well, it looks like the day is already done, with really no new info going into night. We'll see how Henrz turns up. If he's a good'un, any cops should look at Heir, Major or, maybe, Dante. (If there're two mafia groups, which seems likely in a game of this size, Dante is not entirely in the clear. In addition, iirc, Rot is not opposed to putting cops and docs in mafia groups.)
