GAME OVER


One day while the various cereals were sitting in their aisle a sudden scream was heard. The obscure cereals were invading! Ghostbusters II cereal and his lackeys had rounded up all the cereals that had once been popular (and many which had never been) and were attempting to destroy the world of the well known cereals. Just as all hope seemed lost for the cereals we know and love, the store manager arrived, and upon seeing the carnage immediately hit the fire alarm.
Sprinklers exploded into action, soaking the cereal boxes, and causing their cheap colors to run. With every cereal box resembling a kaleidoscope nobody knew who to fight with. The cereals had been split up into groups during the fighting, and one group of 12 cereals decided that the only way they could find the attackers would be by guile. And so the great debates began.

The battle had only begun, and the cereals had gathered together to figure out who was hiding, and who was supposed to be there. The day will have to end with one cereal being killed, and hopefully the Obscure cereals will lose a member.

No Lynch
If we lynch poorly (which we most likely will), it is as if the game will start with an odd number of people.
Shown by this chart, games starting with an odd number of people have a lower town win percentage.
This is not 100% accurate, but still.

Vote: Brighty for wanting a no lynch so soon, and acting lke it's impossible to find scum on a day start.

Lets remember that tommorow we'll be in the exact same position but with what? one more dead townie, maybe even 2 depending on the set up.

True, but it's just as irritating for Cops, Trackers and other investigative roles as it is for the Mafia.

However I must agree that pushing for a No Lynch this early is quite odd Brighty, no one has claimed and we have absolutely no information as of yet...

Though you may well be correct that a No Lynch can sometimes save the town from a friendly lynch, it also basically gives the Mafia a free kill and effectively restarts the day with us having one less townie.

I suppose you're as good a candidate as any to start things off with.

I do not really find his suggestion for a No Lynch that suspicious. But, I think he's as good as any place to start.

Well... the activity dropped a little bit.

Brighty, I'd reccomend giving out an investigation power tonight. If you land it on a mafia, it's not going to help them that much, and if you land it on a Townie, that's going to help them a lot. Doctor and roleblock powers are too dangerous to hand out at this point, doctor not so much, but an investigation power is still a better idea.

In all seriousness, it may be that perhaps some players don't have night actions, and so they wouldn't exactly be on top of when nights are in this game.

So...

Brighty's RC didn't really provide much fruit for thought. There exists no reason to doubt him as of now, Lucky Charms would be too risky a scum claim and it definitely fits into the Popular Cereal category.

While I find Brighty's playing style in general scummy, (regardless of whether or not he is, in fact, scum) the role fits.

Pushing for more RCs at this point is dangerous in one sense: there is a large number of popular cereals, far more than 12. Every time someone claims we open up the options for those anyone looking to design a fake RC. It is possible, that cereal variants exist which would double/triple the likely claims.

However we don't really have alot of options, and while it is generally best to avoid numerous RCs this early on, we need to start somewhere. Anywhere we get today will be better than a no lynch and one dead tomorrow.

Thinking there was a night is not really grounds for pressure, so I'm reluctant to start there.

Well, I'm back! Doesn't look like much has happened. That is why I don't like day starts, there's nothing much to go on and discuss on. I personally found Brighty's suggestion of a no lynch pretty suspicious because a lynch is the town's main weapon. But he has acquitted himself pretty well since then....
