I like FFA's and I'm sure plenty others out there do as well. If you're interested in having a FFA anytime just post your name below and I'll add you to the "HG FFA list". That way, any time somebody is bored you can just add people here and get a FFA going fast.

Also this information may be used for the FFA tourney that is being organized

There should be another HG ffa series. With all those funny rules. Normal ffa is just stupid booming contest and crossing your fingers no one is so stupid to attack you.

Great idea! But it means someone has to organise it, who has the sparetime?

(TAD arriving in ~1 week)

Why does it take so long to get the game? For Joel it took more than a month, for me it took 1 or 2 days to arrive.

For me, I just went down to the local shopping mall and bought it from EB Games

Anyway, FFA's are boring, but I like the FFA Series ideas with points for certain things. Makes it more fun

FFA with extra style points, is more like it. First to die, first to shed blood, earliest neighbour kill, first to destroy a tc, such as that.

well i got testing, so even if i went and bought it from the store today, i wouldn't have much time to play

ya the FFA series sounds fun, but we'll have to see how many people we have so far first

i love FFAs, tried to come up with some new rules to make them more interesting but no one ever played :/

That king of the hill thing sounds fun!

But I was thinking something more simple like, fight only with Light Infantry or only colonial age allowed.

later when we played some KOTH FFAs we decided it was just too complicated and updated the rules to simply awarding 1 point for every starting TC (which you'd always have to rebuild) you kill, not allowing mortars, petards, and walls (still king of the hill tho). a lot less complicated and ended up really fun imo

FFA fun series also had some tech and HC rules like

-colonial fighting only
-native allies only
-no native allies
-saloon units only (includes mercs)
-all players must play the same civ (giant mirror match)
-random civ (using a random number generator, and on one's honour to play the civ correlating to that number)
-islands FFA (using one of Gandalf's maps with lots of islands)
-no military cards (no shipments of units)
-no eco upgrades (no eco tech cards, no mills, plantations, rice paddies, farms, livestock pens, or factories/banks) Playing Japan on this one was really tough.

goodspeed, those sounded like pretty interesting rules (the pr one is a good idea so that people like you won't end up winning every time then :P)
If we get enough people (and if people are willing to help me review recordings), I might try to get some FFA tourney going some time
