I think I will enter, good job guys on doing this

Do you have to enter your adresses however? I know this sounds silly and I won't win but I'm not that comftable (and I'm sure my parents won't be either) giving my adresses to somebody I don't know, and I'm not at all interested in the prizes anyway (apart from the money of course but well..)

So i take it even if like 5 people help with an SCN then one person only will get credit....ill just make mine on my own.

Why not?!! The NewXTriggers and Oddy's advanced QV triggers are very powerful and needn't be distributed along with the scenario; they're stored in the scn file. Thus I think this is a stupid rule, it may hinder some serious improvements regarding the programing of the scn... Will anyone reconsider this rule?

I agree with this. In fact, there's no way to tell that a scenario uses new triggers other than to open it in the editor and look at each trigger. And the ability to make new triggers is one of the most powerful parts of the AoM editor.

Additionally, some of the newly created triggers are really helpful and powerful (I just had to stress that again )...

I do not think it is a stupid rule....alot of people don't have these add ons, and they could be at an un-fair disadvantage.
I uninstalled AOM once about 3 months ago....new editor and all the new triggers un installed with it, and bow it won't let me install them again (bloody thing) so i know i would be at a disadvantage.

Some of the rules were implemented to give everyone a fair chance. Simply put, we want to see how the final product will look as ES meant it. Not all who submit a scenario may have the additional "triggers" and extra features that have been created over time.

There is some lee way, nonetheless.

well, limiting the map size is not a way to give everyone a fair chance, above all for who has already started his work and have no possibilities to create a new scenario.

Sounds cool, im in, even though i know ill get dead last! (I have never made a scenario in my life that was actually good)

I don't understand where is the problem with a giant map (larger than 500x500).
Maybe the lag? A lot of ways exist to eliminate lag.
File size? Nowadays most people have fast web connessions.

i dunno my parents warn me about this kinda stuff (im 15 by the way) about giving my address away. how can i trust u guys? i mean i have permission to do these things, but still, ur no official website like ES where i can trust with the company, though u guys have been out for a while and u gave out prizes previously. ahh forget it ill sign up... as soon as i come up with an idea, that is.

It's true. Maps bigger than 512x512 are "extra features". But is also true that anyone can play them also without any patch or something else.
And thinking in this way also objects rotate and inclinated whit the new x editor are "extra features", so also the use of nxe, nxe2 and any patch must be forbidden.

New triggers don't need any extra files or so; they're stored in the scn file.

And I don't see why we should forbid every nice mod for the editor and its trigger function, with these features some great new things are possible (for example a kill counter).
