PPE has now made his first appearance as the Mission 3 intro cinematic is started.

He's been trapped in GD and he's been forced to analyse recorded games and listen to them brag about their rates. He is trapped in a cage of light that will only open when relics are placed infront of it in the correct order...

Firefax has also been forced to turn the AOMI into a rating ladder and post info of upcoming supremacy matches.

How did you choose who to put on the aditional characters just out of interest?

Nottud built it using his sexy triggers. And I choose the characters by looking at the forum, more to add .

Today I will be working on the 3 most important triggers for mission 2. Sounds simple, but it will take a while.

These 3 triggers contain the 2 dialogues each for every mistake you could possibly make in closing and hiding threads in Mission 2. Warnings and second chances as well.

Each trigger will have over 100 effects, and are probably worth 1% in themselves.

Completing these 3 trigger will be my second greatest trigger feat of all time. My greatest was in Omega Escape where I made 48 powers for 6 cultures, with granting, buying and effects all in less than 48 triggers.

Codename Ripto: Newsletter: 1

Hello everyone and welcome to the first edition of the Codename Ripto Newsletters. These are to help you understand what is going on in the world of Ripto and act as a continuous update, so you always know what is going on.

Each newsletter will feature a detailed update of what has been going on since the last newsletter, and they will usually contain a special teaser movie taken from the scenario.

What's been happening this week?

This week has seen the near completion of Mission 2. I have added many sub-quests in the missions, the ability to close almost every thread and the associated warnings and punishments. Threads that now have sub-quests are as follows:

The Ferris Wheel Of Doom 9
The Cake Thread
AoMH Mafia - Fiends In The Halls
The World Of AoMH

It may not look like a lot, but most of the other threads contain either Spam Lords, Easter Eggs or skillpoints that make the scenario a lot more enjoyable.

I have had some feedback from Mission 1 and it looks like I need to make it easier. This has been done with the adding of a few more restoration powers. The loading screen has also been fixed to an AOM icon of Great Britain!

I also started working on Mission 3, based in GD. The opening cinematic and opening puzzle is complete, with an Skillpoint already. Baske has done a great job on the eyecandy and the lighting and continuous 'penguin' noises really give it a good atmosphere.

A few extra puzzles have been done, as well as a parody of a certain film.

This is the mod teleporter that moderators use to get around AoMH. The movie features Yeebaagooon coming out of a Staff Meeting and teleporting into Scenario Design to begin Mission 1.

Yes it is. The music at the start and end was put in, while the voice was recorded with the movie. In real life it is better quality, and yes, youtube does make me sound wierd .

You need to have a huge GD vs SD battle... like SD posters send their hordes of units into the GD forum to prove SD is better then GD, and your task is to stop it. HeHe massive banning woot! lol you could show off the unlimited powers of the admins. :P

I just analised the mod teleporter (I know, sad ain't it) and it looks like when you come out of the teleporter when you appear you appear about a quarter of a second before the traitor effect and the other stuff. It is not noticable if you watch it with out pausing and rewinding but it happens... I wouldhave thought you want want yourself to appear in the light or as the traitor hits the ground.

I do. There is a trigger to create the traitor effect, and then one second later I appear. I looked, and I appear when the first ring hits the ground.

I also think i have figured out what mission 9 will be from your spoiler. If it is what i think it is then we are all doomed to the dreaded ...

Also I looked at the thing again and you do actually appear a fraction of a second before the first ring...
Either that or Virgin is wrecking their Broadband again (the most likely cause of what i am seeing(Stupid Virgin!))
