I am slightly perplexed that Catabre was the target though. No offence, but if I was prioritising townies to kill, he wouldn't be at the top. Some sort of interfering factor then perhaps?

I think this will be important as the twist at the end really will affect this game and allegiances in it, but those who haven't seen an absolutely awesome film, you may end up having a twist ruined!

Of course i'm not saying it for certain. However, if Rot is unable to post without adding a question, it may be very important. I mean look at his first post asking if cat is iron. Will this information be useful to him in future? And I can think of one character who'd be given a restriction like this.

Plus it may look like I’m the only one who has see the film, but Leonard is going to have quite a complicated character presumably. I'm sure Ashrzr would want somebody experienced to play it, like Rot. Now I’m not sure what Hook is hinting at, but it only adds to my interest to Rot, as well as what Rot said about Brighty, about knowing he isn't the 'killer'. If he's talking about the killer of his wife, then this only adds to my belief of who he is.

Never been killed on Night 1 before. I have not seen the movie, so I will have to read a wiki synopsis.

I did randomize for Wild West, but not for Mansion. I don't think Ashrzr does as I believe he purposely gave me the Joker role for Dark Knight mafia.

Aight. I am Sammy Jankins. Flavor text aside, I am an insane one-shot jack of all trades. I have the following one shot abilities: one-shot watcher, one-shot roleblock, one-shot thief, one-shot kill, and one-shot bus driver. I used the watcher last night, and got Brighty, and I saw that he was targetted by Rot.

As you can see, everything else except the thief is completely useless, as it's dramatically more likely to effect the town that anything else.

What's an insane Jack of All Trades? Can you ask whether the mod can give you more info on what that means?

It means that I cannot choose my target. I just send in "Watcher", for example, and he targets a random person.

Unusual. Well don't use the Bus Driver ability at any point. The last thing the town needs is two random people being swapped.

There are a few possibilities for who may be scum though. Although I guess Leonard has some sort of killing role, probably via some mechanic or other. It may for example be random, which would explain the choice of Catabre. Alternatively, it may not be decided by him, as his character gets manipulated in the film. Another possibility is that Leonard's role is similar to Hook's, as the characters have the same condition.

I know what Rot's role is now.
But, no need to tell you guys.

And Brighty where does say that Leanord is not a serial killer or lyncher? If you haven't read the film or read the plot then you must understand, that Leanord will not be the good guy. His mind can't allow him to be. He's a serial killer as he hunts his wifes killer, but then can't remember killing her, so kills another person again, and again.
At the very least he'll be out to get Teddy killed.

And for the 'is that guy pointing his gun at me'. This could so easily be self defence from the person, as Leanerd may have attacked him before, then 'woken up' not remembere di, and wondered why he's having a gun point at him. If you see the film you'll understand. Or maybe it's not anything to do with the night actions, i've seen write ups contain no relevance to what happened at night, Ashrzr may well be doing that to show Leanords confusion. As I don't think Ashrzr would be so stupid as to put that, as that more or less then says Cat is Leanord. But looking at Rot, i'm not so sure.

So please Brighty don't just be as stupid and naive as to throw around votes like that again, like i've seen you do in Hobbit and OotS.

A few minutes later, Teddy (Joe Pantoliano) arrives at the abandoned building, and Leonard discovers he has been tricked. Jimmy Grantz was a local drug dealer and was not involved in his wife's murder. After Teddy exclaims "So you lie to yourself to be happy. Nothing wrong with that. We all do it.", he reveals the truth: Leonard conditioned himself to integrate the Sammy Jankis story (who was actually a fraud with no wife) with his story (Leonard's wife survived the attack, had diabetes and died when she made Leonard give her an insulin overdose). Teddy is revealed to be the detective that took pity on him and helped Leonard hunt down and kill the real John G. over a year ago. To Teddy's surprise, Leonard forgot and continued his search. Teddy admits that he manipulated Leonard into killing Jimmy and set up a fake drug deal to steal Jimmy's money and split it with him. Attempting to convince Leonard, Teddy reveals that they have been tracking different "John G."'s in various towns for months and that Teddy himself is also a "John G.", his real being John E. Gammell.

Leonard is at first distraught, but soon realizes that revenge was his only reason to live and so provides himself a new John G. to kill: Teddy. Leonard burns the photo evidence of the real John G. and Jimmy Grants' deaths and instead writes the "DON'T BELIEVE HIS LIES" note on the back of Teddy's photo. He also writes down Teddy's license plate number, all to set up Teddy's murder. Leonard leaves in Jimmy's car and ponders whether or not what he is doing is fair. He convinces himself it is before stopping at the tattoo parlor. Leonard has already forgotten what he has done.

For those still unsure please just read that. Once you've got it into your heads that the twist is the main character is actually bad. His wife didn't die from the attack she survived, but when his wife uses Leonard to commit suicide, the last thing Leonard can remember is the attack, so he believes his wife to have been killed in it. With Teddys help goes after her 'murderer'. Kills her supposed attacker, but he doesn't remember this, so he keeps killing people who he believes is his wife’s murderer, and one of these victims is Teddy, who he sets his minds up to make it believe that Teddy killed his wife. So he will kill him. Despite Teddy being innocent and the good guy.

That is why Leonard will be a serial killer or lyncher. So now can you please unvote me Brighty, before we delve into the realms of complete idiocy.

Just when I thought we were getting somewhere.

Teddy was a good guy. He never killed Leonard’s wife. He took pity on Leonard despite knowing that his wife wasn't actually killed by the attacker. He spent two years going to various places with Leonard, helping him track down the real John G, and then others after Leonard couldn't remember doing it, sure in the end he used Leanards condition to try and get rich with him, but at the end of the day Teddy was Leanards only real friend, and Leonard killed him because of that, and the only one he could really trust. I mean that Natalie she took complete advantage over Leanords condition as well, by trying to get him to kill somebody for her by using his condition to maipulate things. But I bet she's town as well. Teddy could have simply left Leonard whenever he wanted to, but he stuck it out with him, and as you can see must have gone through some pain and suffering because of it.

This is becoming rather frustrating

Let me lay this out nice and clear for you to understand okay Julius.

The whole point of the film was showing how everyone took advantage and manipulated Leonard’s situation for their own benefit:

Natalie - To get somebody killed.
Teddy - To get some money, and split it with Leonard.
The hotel person - Made Leonard buy 2 rooms for more money and hinted he was going to make him buy a third.
Sammy Jenkins - Said theres no way Leonard should not be able to make new memories, so his wife wouldn't get government money, and every time she went back pleading., Sammy was called in to investigate and got more money.

But most importantly.

Leonard manipulates his own mind to kill his one true friend for the sake of lying to himself and giving himself a purpose in life.

This making more sense?
