Well, its obvious what Shanks is going on, here, so I really must explain I guess....

I'm Arod Jake, a JoaT kind of person wherein I have two-shot investigation, two-shot roleblocking and two-shot protection. I can only use one each night. Now, last night I was apparently given a pistol and was told that unless I targeted Ashrzr with it, I would be killed. So, I had to do it.

Additionally, I investigated Blatant last night. He's innocent.

I don't buy it. Only one kill occurred last night, it has to be mafia action. Also, read the bloody flavor text:

I think you're experienced enough to know that flavor can vary and isn't the most qualified indicator of what actually happens, right?

I don't know about the night post, but I was told that I had a pistol and must target Ashrzr with it or die, so yeah...

Alright. So it looks to me like Shanks has more or less claimed cop. Heir has revealed he has an investigation too. Given that this is a jail-themed mafia, don't you think there will be a lot of cops/investigations? If so, it stands to reason that some cops/investigations will be insane, paranoid, whatever. So investigations are basically worthless until you 100% know your sanity. Oh, and the flavor argument isn't especially solid. The host probably isn't going to purposely give hints as to how someone was killed or by whom.

The fact that Heir claimed to have killed Ashrzr is suspicious, but something I can somewhat believe based on two points.

1: Remember ABU's Mansion Mafia? The mafia in that game was very unusual. The godfather didn't have his own kill, but instead gave kills to players, in the hope that they would use them. If Heir is telling the truth, this is a bit like what happened here, except he was apparently forced to use the kill.

2: Bleach Mafia. Although it's still going, someone, probably the SK, is forcing other players to kill people, in that case by voting for them. In fact, Xzyiothe recently replaced into that mafia, so he could've gotten the idea from there.


Based on what I've said above, I don't think that Heir is necessarily scum. Sure, he could be, but the main thing we have against him are Shank's "proof", and his forced pistol claim. Both of which I've explained.

I always leave hints in my flavor text when I host. I can't see why Xzy would have flawed flavor text, so I think it's substantial evidence.

Yeah, that does seem pretty damning...having not been a part of any of Xzy's past mafias, though, can anyone else confirm or deny whether he pays attention to flavor details like that?

I targeted Ashrzr and found that Heir visited him. I'm a tracker/watcher, more precisely. Ash didn't make an action, but Heir visited him. Either way, flavor text indicates that Heir is lying--lynch all liars.

I think what Xzyiothe wanted to indicate through the flavor was that the mafia were responsible for Ashrzr's death. But the ways and means of the death were obviously revealed differently. As far as I know, I was given a pistol, told to kill Ashrzr or die myself. So, I targeted Ashrzr and here we are. I understand why it feels so obvious to everyone that I'm scum, but I'm not. I have a pretty important role, and I think the town can afford to give me a night wherein I can be investigated and confirmed.

The cop doesn't have to be outed; if he gets an innocent on Heir, he can remain silent. If he gets a guilty then obviously he'll reveal himself to get a scum lynched. He can then be protected by the doctor?

Now before Shanks fully RCed, everyone thought he was a cop. That being the case, if Heir is scum he would calim a role such as a miller to have an excuse from a cop power. But instead, he claims something that would be excusable from a watcher/tracker power. This pretty much confirms Heir in my book.

Why didn't Shanks say he was a watcher too earlier? I can understand if he only said the watcher part 1st, but why would he only say the tracker part? The watcher part of the info is what's important.

If Shanks is scum, here's my hypothesis:
Shanks forced Heir to kill Ash, thus he was ready from the start of the game to claim tracker. He never expected Heir to target Blatant as well however, so he then switched over to a tracker/watcher.

If Shanks is not scum, no one is. There's no way Heir can be scum.

If he gets a guilty then obviously he'll reveal himself to get a scum lynched. He can then be protected by the doctor?

I find this a bad idea, seeing as how I'm rather valuable myself.

Best point made in the game thus far. I can't argue with it, no matter how many times I go back and look at what happened. Heir was able to clear himself without acting like he was avoiding an investigation.

That's a rather foolhardy plan for acting this early in the game.

I don't think so. I agreed to having targeted Ashrzr and Shanks' result proves that. If I was lynched and turned out to be town he'd just say that he had a valid reason for believing I was scum(which he does have), so it wouldn't prove anything as he could very well be either town or scum and claim to have got that result on me.

As I previously stated, I think Xzyiothe worded the night post so as to imply that the mafia were responsible for Ashrzr's death, if not directly. As to ways and means of the death, they could be anything. I think the fact that Xzy refers to multiple people having visited Ashrzr to beat him to death directly contradicts the flavor argument against me.

I had to kill him or die myself. But I'm confirmed because, as Briguy said, when someone votes on you like Shanks did, scum would naturally assume that he got a guilty on them and work up a miller claim or and 'IDK why he got that' or 'his sanity is flawed' excuse. I, however explained my actions and the reason behind them and those actions were backed up by Shanks' claim as a tracker, so yeah...

I'd like to apologize for the random arrangement of the quotes, I just picked out the ones which seemed most in need of refuting.
