The Betting Thread - DTS 2016

It's that time again! Time to place your bets folks.

This year there will also be a prize for the winner!

But before you get to excited take a moment to read through the rules.

PRIZE:
The winner gets to choose one of these three different prizes:
1. A fun assortment of Swedish candy. (Posted to you no matter where you live. Except space.)
2. A hand-drawn fantasy map of your choice. (Preferably your own fantasy map. Perhaps part of your future campaign?)
3. A computerized boardgame from my youth (worth 7�). It will be a surprise.

RULES:
� You may only make one bet.
� Betting on yourself is allowed.
� Judges of the competition may not bet until the deadline has passed, and not after testing the maps.
� Betting through smurf-accounts is not allowed and will result in disqualification.
� Totally copying another persons bet is allowed.
� The person with the most rights win.
� In case of a tie the first person to place his bet wins.
� Only your latest bet is counted if you happen to have several in this thread.

This years combatants:

MrMew:
This guy is getting better and better.
In his last competition he placed 10th
but with a thin margin to the top
contestants. This is a guy with great
potential. So watch out!

to describing this lad. He surely knows
what he's doing when it comes to B&Ds.

top notch scenarios in his arsenal.

King Steffen:
This guy is pretty unknown to
me and I could only find two
submissions to the blacksmith.
We will see how he fares against
the more experienced designers.

Lildbehr:
Defending his title since 2013
Lildbehr is the current king of
DTS. How long will that last though?
Will he even have time to finish

This guy has improved a lot
lately and has a few nice
scenarios here at AoKH.

Entered both the PTC15
and the MGC14. Both were
very good and did well
in their respective
competitions. Can he
do even better this time?

Muhammad Mirza:
He entered the PTC15 but never
finished. I don't know much about
him since he hasn't posted any
scenarios here. We will have
to wait and see what he does.

cartoon_paperboy:
This guy entered the PTC way
back in 2011. He then placed 11th
but has surely improved since then
He has a total of three scenarios
on this site two rated 3.0 or above.

Mashek:
That's it! We're done for! This
guy is a brilliant designer

even if it had some bugs. After
that he hasn't been very active.

Mr Wednesday to win, CK second. I feel like I don't know enough of anybody else's work to have a guess, but there could definitely be some serious competition! Personally I'll be happy to place above last place.

And well, I don't know for sure that I will finish in time. There are already project threads going up and I'm still kicking around different ideas. I'd say Al Kharn is the favourite because he is most likely to finish something good within the timeframe.

Rest assured, staff promotions are not given out as prizes for winning design contests. There are plenty of other good reasons to have Matt on staff

You can't predict me man! Last time I made a town with no one in it for a town contest, mwhaahaha. I made a cutscene about an old man fishing for marlins and won with that too! For all you know, I've modded that russian on a shark into the game for this scenario. My mind is limitless!!!

...It's actually pretty basic in concept. I don't expect to win. Also, I'll need an AI and I hate AI's. The odds of me even finishing in time are probably 10%.

Unless julius shows up and bets against me. That gave me serious motivation last time.

Probably a bad idea to bet on me. I seriously doubt my entry will happen. I've been busy lately, and other than some planning and writing I did nothing all January. The few times I have has time to work on projects I have spent on Tales of Middle Earth.

Not totally out, but the odds of me finishing are less than 10%
