This mod will introduce to you how to use basic animations and rotations in Age of Mythology to create an atmosphere and a great look with just villagers. First, you will need the following:
First, set out your atmosphere:
Then, set out your bench. I used two fallen columns, and placed them together with some crates at the end, but you can do anything you wish.
Then, set your villagers down near the bench, or in sight, since you'll need to select them from time to time. Choose how many you want, I chose two, yes they are guys, the animation will turn them so even if they are girls. How sexist of AoM.
Now that we have that, select one of the villagers and go to 'View Animations'.
Scroll down through the villagers animations until you hit 'Cinematic', then click 'Villager Wounded Idle' or the first one on the list.
I know what you're thinking "It looks like he's going to barf on my floor! WTF Skarr?! Go to the rotation tool and reverse him upwards so he looks like he is sitting.
Now that's more like it! Keep reversing him until he is in the right position.
Now place him on the bench.
Repeat for other Villager.
Now add yourself some details. Put buildings, rocks, other people, grass, trees, etc. until you feel the scene is complete.
