 Endgame.
Ah at last the picture is back ... in black
Arthur - King of the Britons has been charged by God with a sacred quest: to find the Holy Grail! Join this mafia to embark on this epic tale of danger, peril and nasty big pointy teeth. Throughout this mafia you will have the chance to meet and confront your most loved Monty Python characters.

Yes, Monty Python and the Holy Grail Mafia is here!
Please note: There may be some characters from Monty Python who do not appear in The Holy Grail, but who are making an appearance in this mafia.
The usual mafia game mechanics apply, however some roles have been created specially for this game. The balance of this game has been tweaked to the 'HGMain Mafia Forum' setting - so it won't be as easy for the town to win as my other mafia games. The final settings shall be decided by how many players sign up. Ideally I'd like 28 - so advertise like crazy . This may be a bit ambitious, but we can go with less.
I intend to keep signups open for at least a week or until we get the desired number of players - whichever comes last. Please check your calendar to see if you will be away while the game is in progress. Replacements may also sign up.
 
 Rules:
  • Yeebaagooon is God. As if you didn't already know....
  • This game is closed communication unless specified in your role email.
  • You may not directly quote your role email.
  • You may not edit any of your posts in the game thread.
  • This thread will be locked at night - there will not be a sunset phase - we go straight to night after a lynch.
  • There may be some post restrictions - but I have limited these as much as possible as this is HGMain.
  • Please vote and unvote correctly otherwise you will be ignored.
  • Obey the 20 commandments at all times, or I shall smite you.
  • I fart in the general direction of inactives - and they shall be replaced without notification after one prod.
  • I reserve the right to smite any player at any time for any reason and all rules are subject to change without notice.
  • Don't post after you're dead.

    Why should anyone block Sneaky? If Heir's scum, Sneaky is obviously town. We don't 'need to make sure' if it's a successful counter claim.
    We stick to the plan outlined in Thymole's first post. I don't believe you, Brighty, in the slightest, and I'm going for you next. I don't think this thing about 'Heir was killed due to a condition, so that's why he could replace' is valid.

    The town was impressed with Coldviper's deduction skills and approached Heir, armed with knives, fresh fruit and various weapons of mass destruction.
    Heir stood there accepting his fate, he had been caught and that's all there was to it.

    He plummeted to his death without a word.
  • A Knight Of Ni, a Ni mafia member played by Heir of Elessar has been lynched.

    An epic night, this will be one to remember.

    A knight of Ni wandered the town alone. His companions had fallen, revenge must be invoked. The knight decided to bide him time and formulate a plan.
    Just before dawn, he rang the town bell. Everyone hurriedly ran into the square for the day. The knight stood tall upon the gallows, and leapt down on the poor and unsuspecting Coldviper. 'NI!'
    Coldviper fell. He was supported by his friends for his efforts in lyching Heir. They held him and moved him up to the gallows. Sadly, the NI was too much and Coldviper died. The town was anxious to know his role. His friends whipped off his top layer of clothing, as well as their own. A flash of red! A golden crucifix! It was the Spanish Inquisition!
    'I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition...' said the town, aghast.
    "NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!" screamed Cardinal Ximinez, angry at the loss of Cardinal Biggles. He raised his crucifix into their air to smite Mephiles. A hideous scar appeared on his back and he collapsed.
    'HELP! HELP! I'M BEING REPRESSED!' he screamed as he died of blood loss. The Inquisition laughed, but this was short lived.
    The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch flew towards Cardinal Ximinez. He had no chance. In a deafening HALLEJUAH it exploded, showing the crowd in blood and various lumpy bits (medical term).

    The remaining cardinal fled.


    The town was left reeling from this revelation.

  • Cardinal Biggles, a Spanish Inquisition mafia member played by Coldviper has been killed. Biggles could tie someone to the rack each night, blocking them.
  • Dennis, a democracy fanatic played by Mephiles has been smote. He could doublevote every even day.
  • Cardinal Ximinez, the Spanish Inquisition Godfather played by Brighty has been killed. Ximinez chose one person to kill each night.
    (I know this will be controversial but...) I have decided to let both cardinals win for exemplary performance.

    Also, it seems that my gut was once again correct in day 7, regarding Heir. On a final note, I have a gut feeling that the town will win.
