The Sixth Somewhat-Annually-Held Designer Awards
New Award Nominations

Send all complaints to yeebaagooon(at)hotmail(dot)co(dot)uk

All across Scenario Design, people were buzzing with joy. For it is that time of year again, where the designers vote to find out who will be walking home with an award.

The message went out, and designers from all over the world walked into the prestigious Burj Dubai that Yeebaagooon had rented out with the secret AoMH holiday fund for the day. (Sorry Papaya, Hawaii is off.)

The scenario designers and modders all flooded into the main hall where they were served any drink they could think of. I especially liked the mosquito drink.

After the designers had been nourished, the doors opened into the grand entrance hall. Yeebaagooon sat aloft a bench, accompanied by the important threads of Scenario Design.

The designers took a seat before Yeebaagooon spoke:
"This time we will be nominating new awards, I know some people missed out last year so I'm keen to hear any new awards people would like to put forwards."

We still seem to be missing a
Best Scripter
Award for the best all-round scripter (AI, RMS, Triggers, Console, ...).

Or we would split it up in those various pieces, since we already seem to have one for RMS.

Best New Scenario Idea
People always have new and fresh ideas, why not award them for it?

Most Intriguing Story
What plots, short descriptions, etc have caught your eye in a scenario announcement?

I think these ideas should have been up, since I have a stong belief that a story and background help build a scenario/campaign.

If you don't know what to write, start writing. Same thing with scenario design. If you have know idea yet, start designing.

I noticed there's only an all-time scenario designer awards so:

Best Scenario Designer of the Year
This award is for the greatest scenario designer of the year.

And also:

Most Prolific Scenario Designer
This award is for the designer who has been the most dedicated and released the most notable scenario designs in the history of AOMh

Most Prolific Scenario Designer of the Year
This award is for the designer who has been the most dedicated and released the most notable scenario designs in 2008

I would also suggest the 'Great Expectations' award to be modified to include not only ones that were abandoned but just ones in general which have not been released, whether abandoned, halted, or still under construction.

Those with "of the Year" suffixes, would additions of 2009 count as nominees, too? Or would they have to wait for next year?

[Image]Best Project Presentation

We had this one year, I think Vandhy won it for the Corruptor. I miss it (the award).

[Image]Best Screenshot

Smallest Map

This is to be awarded to the designer who has completed an extremely small map, but has filled it with eyecandy and fun
That would be me for making a 4 by 4 sized map! Although it has nothing on it.

Funniest Effect
Goes to the person who has the funniest special effects. E.g. cow tornados (cows as debris), giant turtles from lightning storm, forest from son of osiris attack, controlable flying battle boars, More cows but giant ones with an osiris attack, goat trap (A relic if you go near to turns into a goat and traps you inside). These are all crazy things I have done.
