The alpha version 0.1 is released.


I announce BCTool, wich means BRG Converting Tool.

I don't want to say with this that AoMEd is bad. But it is a bit outdated. BCTool will mainly be focused on the converting of .brg files, but also it will be a complete mod program, i mean you can edit the proto with a very nice user interface.

Also anim editing is has never been so easy, since you can view how the unit will look like in different moves and with different connections.

The Alpha is released:
Download version 0.1.11

Change log
Script version 1.1:
- Blender import script now rotates the attachpoints.

Coming...
in BCTool version 0.2:
- DDT conversion.

in Script version 1.2:
- Blender export script.

Features
- Converting .brg files to .cbrg and vice-versa.
- Converting .ddt files to .bmp, .png, .tga and vice-versa.
- Editing protox with an easy UI
- Installing COMPLETE mods from .zip files.
- Viewing models and textures and complete anims of units
- Creating and Saving mod projects to .mod files.

New converting features in relation with AoMEd:
- adding/editing attachpoints
- custom numer of textures
- custom numer of frames
- applying moving texture coordinates (NEW)
- useage of solid color materials (NEW)
- fading materials (NEW)
- changing the duration time of a animation

Look and support features:
- OS style layout
- Include Blender and Gmax import/export scripts for .cbrg files
- Windows, Mac and GNU support
- Clicking on a .brg file will open this program

so the main usage for the program is:
. converting models/textures
. installing and mantaining modpacks
. viewing models and textures

If you could actually allow the editing/creating of working attach points I'd be over joyed. Been a big downside of modding aom especially when you're making your own models from scratch.

You'd probably need the granny 3d software or something though and that's very very expensive and not really a commonly used software.

just the old C!
I use pspad to write and I have a convertor called tiny c compiler. in pspad i can devine the command line for tcc and press ctrl + F9 and it would be converted a very nice prgoram!

none yet that type does not exist atm

interface is OS style, so it's mostly API coding. thanks for your offer

i think i'n gonna make a support for bmp, png, and tiff.

This is fantastic. Running AOMED under Darwine on my Mac, well, let's just say this will be better. I don't know how many of you use Mac, but I do, and I will greatly appreciate both the blender scripts and the converters(mainly those, but the proto editor is nice too). One question, though...what is a cbrg?

I've been waiting for this the last 5 years. Seriously. If you finish that it'll be another breakthrough on the scale of AoMED. To create models without a base model is the one last unmastered challenges in AoM modding.

Don't work on things like "Editing protox with an easy UI" and "Installing COMPLETE mods from .zip files". We don't need that. The only thing we need is a fully working *.brg converter!

So you better release this . If you don't release this nor your knowledge, the modding community will kill you!!!! With a rusty knife!!
