CASTWCRT Triggers here, please. Now we won't overflood the TRT with our expert trigger discussions!

OK, for those who are wondering... CASTWCRT stands for Confederation for Abolishment of Simple Triggers so We Can Redo Them. This was started by three trigger soon-to-be experts, Guard of Osiris, Guard of Olympus, and lostrozzacavalli. We try to do all simple triggers that haven't been done yet...

NOte: Guys, like i already said. I dont wish for you to use my triggers in the pack without my permission, or course. But no, I am not going to just leave and never share them. As stated by myself, I will release my triggers in my extras bonus pack, and i guess im just like guard of olympus. I dont really want to quit, my laptops gone though, so i cant get my triggers here or anything till its back. So when i do get my laptop back, ill come back and make triggers and release them with you guys.

Announcement! I have finally got an idea for a few triggers, so I'm rejoining CASTWCRT and I will realese these new triggers once they are fully tested. I call them the QV triggers, even though they could have a better name.
The effects contain:

QVChat
QVSpoofedChat
QVColored chat
QVColoredSpoofedchat
QVPlayDialoug
QVOverlayText

and a few more.

They contain the
"+(1*trQuestVarGet("QV1"))+"
so you don't have to waste time in writing it...
It'll be a huge time saver for me, and a small timesaver for others. They will also be good for newbies with small knowlage of QVs.

I dont beleive in coincidence, but it sure is one here, me and guard leaving and joining back near the same times.

Because..., I too wish to rejoin like guard. Because I have gotten the ability now to be able to work with triggers. No, cant do aom, but I can make new triggers. And I had many ideas. But the thing is, since I cant get on aom, I will need some help with my trigger making. I usually can get them right, and hail helps debug. But as for testing them ingame, I will need volunteers. So whenever I post a new trigger (I will always post my new ones for a while now) I need someone to go test it in the editor for me, and then report back if it works or not.

First, as my welcome back present, here are some triggers I already made, but new to you guys.
Look at the coding for the trigger two posts after this one. My next post. Quest Var Randomize 2
That ones pretty cool. Its a more focused way for randomizing a qv. Instead of between certain numbers, you can have it choose one of a few select numbers. So you can have randomly of 2, 56, and 103. Instead of 2-103 and risk it not getting one of those three.

Hail says it works. Could osmeone test it for me? THis is [supposed to be] a much better form of clearing the chats, because it only scrolls the page to get rid of them, instead of deleting the history. So like, what if there is a ton of information in the chat history, and you need to get back to it, but clearing chat history removes it all? This would only scroll the page to make it so the screen is clear, but you could simply go back and see the chats again.

And two old ones that are supposed to be for mastering use of quest vars.

The effect is for changing, setting , etc, qv's. And the condition is for checking and comparing. They have all the functions of other quest var effects and conditons put together. And make it so much easier on you. It can work between numbers you put and quest var "questvarget" thingyies. Very helpful ones in my opinion.

I will put more triggers up momentarily, just have to fix them and make them.

I usually can get them right, and hail helps debug.
If you got them right I wouldn't need to debug

For the chatscroll one, you may want to repeat that command several times, because it looks like it only moves one page at a time. So if you tell it to scroll 30 times(or some crazy number. How many pages does it store anyway?), it should pretty much always clear it.

int value = trQuestVarGet("blah")
...
if(value==1)

Because you're declaring an int variable, you can only use that effect once per trigger.
You can declare "value" using an empty for loop instead, if you want, or you can just use the trQuestVarGet in the if statements.

Oh damn, forgot that. It was one of my old triggers, I havent updated them with that fix yet. It did cause a trigger lock when I used one of those more than once in the same trigger, so I need to fix them. So for it, do I replace the int line with those two lines you have? like this.

There, fixed it. And also noticed no simicolon in the post before, in the uichatscroll.

Yeah, really sucks. SO it messes up the whole post, it scrolls the whole damn thing , not just the code, and also the signiture. Cant do linie breaks, harder to see it now.

And the player change random can make it so it changes player from any player to any player, and can have random choices if you want.

Hey jack, a good way I found ideas for some triggers is by looking through the code reference by mythic. Just get that, and look at all the commands, theres a bunch of things that can be done. And so new stuff probably.

ALSO has anyone tested my new clear chats trigger? Hail says it works, but it didnt work for me one time, so I want to be sure.

Heres an idea for you jack, make another version of that which just instantly teleports each unit to their positions. It swaps their positions like this first one, but instead of them moving, just instantly teleports them

And it is a good idea you did there, I think I could even have uses for it.
