Searching for information

Before posting a new thread in Strategy forum, first consult the Newbie Guide, and this article which gives more advanced information. And, also, read the FAQ.

When you have consulted these, and do not have found an answer to your question or the help you wanted, please consult the guide at AoMH's Strategy section: it contains more specific articles on certain subjects, like a certain civilization.
If the information you seek cannot be found there either, please consult the list of strategy guides from the forum, which can be found at the end of this thread (use Ctrl+f to search for the subject you need information on).

In case the information you are looking for cannot even be found there, then first try to search for threads that might have discussed the issue you want information on. For this, you can use the Search bar at the bottom of the page:

Only when you have tried all above mentioned methods to find the information on your subject, and still haven't found (enough) information, consider making a new thread.

How to make a good thread

When making a new thread, please consider that the better you explain your problem, the better you can be helped.

Before starting your thread, consider a few things:

1. Use proper spelling, and do not use 1337 (leet) spelling, curse words, abbreviations like "Omfg!" and the like. Also, try to use proper interpunction, and when your thread becomes lenghty, consider using alinea's.
   All this will result that people are more likely to answer your question/help you with your problem.
   
2. Explain your problem as detailed as possible: "When I play as an Atlantean, especially with Oranos, I never seem to know when to advance to classical Age, thus resulting in hitting classical with a very bad econmoy, or reaching it too late, which results in me being raided before I have an army" is obviously a lot better than: "I suck at playing Atties".
   
3. Provide your ESO statistics (rating) and prefarably, upload a recorded game to AoMH's Recorded Games Section, so people can better examine what you are doing wrong.

Thus, a bad example of a thread is:

OMFG I suckzorz at playin' Atlanteans Could someone plz help me I suck soo badly at playin' tha freakin' Atties I always get beaten |-|31p |\/|3 plz!

And a good one is:

Hello fellow AoM lovers!
After reading and searching trough all the strategy guides I still couldn't find an answer to my problem, so I decided to make this thread.
My problem is that I am not good at playing the Atlanteans (my former ESO rating (TT) was about 1690 (I played mainly Isis), but since I switched to playing Atlanteans for a change, my rating has dropped to about 1590-1620).
My main problem is (especially when playing Oranos), that I never seem to advance to the classical Age at the right time: I advance too early, and get beaten because I have a really bad economy, OR I advance too late, resulting in being raided before I even have an army.
Could anyone out there please help me or provide me with a build order for Oranos? Thank you.

One last note to the so-called experienced players at this forum:
Do not answer questions when you are not completely sure about the answer, and only give strategical tips when you are a decent ESO player (rating well over 1700) (link)
